I got the game a few days ago and am up to when Naruto arrives at the battlefield.

Funny thing is is that you can fight Sasuke with Sakura at their Kage Summit confrontation. Besides that the game is interesting so far, although I think you can only begin side missions after you beat the main quest. It shouldn't take me that much longer though.

one thing I have to say about the storm games is that the graphics improve in each game meanwhile the fighting system has the same flaws as the previous games they might have Improved a little bit from that flaw...or not.

Which flaws, and from what perspective? PvP or PvE? I've noticed they've done quite a bit re-tooling to the system. The computer never offers much of a challenge, even on the highest difficulty.

There's only 10 chapters so to beat it... it's not that long. Sort of wish it was all 3 stories combined but meh.

No, I did that event already. Sakura gave him that book to borrow. When you beat Sai in a battle, Sakura comes back to get it. She makes a gay joke about you and Sai, and tells you that you need to "work it out", and then she is like "I'll leave you guys to it", and Naruto tries to stop her, but she got away.

Then again, why does Sakura OWN that book?

There's also that mission in which she feels that Naruto is getting farther away from her now that he's become a hero. She invited him on a mission, even though his help wasn't necessary at all, just because she wanted to spend some time together with him.

Maybe that whole ordeal is why she's reading that book.

Just finished the mailing friends for relationship meter thing with Sakura. She said Ino was her best partner, and I had to act cool about it to get more in her friendship meter, and then she said "but you're my best guy partner". Yay! Hinata still hates me from when I chose Sakura/Ino personality of her. She is the only leaf Ninja not to send me mail so far.

I got to play that game. All I know the ending has a nice NS shot. That looked cool btw. I do hope it can happen. The tag team. She did hint it in chapter 573. One last team up before the end. Please.

Just got the game today. I haven't quite beaten it yet but it's very awesome so far. I seriously cannot get over how great and emotional the Birth of Naruto chapter was. I actually teared up a few times which is funny because it wasn't even the anime. But it was still so heart-breaking and tear-jerky! That filler scene of Kushina with the rattle, those flashbacks, and her words to Naruto ... damn. Though I will say that seeing some of the flashbacks, MinaKushi really does seem like a NaruSaku parallel. Even CC2 realized how obvious it was. And I know many here hate the dubs (I feel so out of place ... I don't dislike it at all, I like them! ), but I really love Kushina's english voice. It's perfect for her and not disappointing in the least. Can't wait to hear it again in the anime episodes when it's dubbed!

And the Kage Summitt .... overall, I liked it. Chosing Sasuke when he was on his way to kill Danzo and slicing up a bunch of samurai ... that was fun. XD And Sakura's confession was great, Kate Higgins really nailed the sincerity of it (Or at least likely IHO). She always has been good at showing a lot of voice in her acting, I applaud her. I also love how epic and dragged out CC2 makes the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight to be everytime, it was so exaggerated. Still really badass and emotional though!

But I can admit, I really didn't like the Sakura vs. Sasuke confrontation part. Sure, I was really happy when they made her dodge his first Chidori attempt but the amount of SS undertones throughout was just ridiculous. I despise SS, so I really hated how emotionally vulnerable and weak they made her, even more so than in the manga. And, honestly, going off of only CC2, it really did seem like she was putting him Sasuke before Naruto. That "Sasuke, come back! Remember us." made me roll my eyes. Her resolve to do right for Naruto and bear the burden seemed insignificant compared to Sasuke, it was so much weaker than in the chapters/anime. Really, they screwed that part up so bad, I didn't want to deal with too much SS fanservice other than what was already there.

Did anyone else dislike the Sakura vs. Sasuke part? Or am I really the only one here?

Not really. It was more of Team 7 hope is lost to Sakura in this game. In the manga, it's Naruto/Team 7 for Sakura. Reason why is because they didn't show what Sai told Sakura. It did feel random for Sakura to show up without letting us know why. Yes, they said it, but the manga shows us that she felt guilty about Naruto and her promise so she wants to end it right a way. I wasn't effect by it, because CC2 is known to try to connect newer audience by showing who they are. For this case, they have to show that Sakura was in fact in love with Sasuke, but he's now a criminal and you know the rest. I didn't mind that much because if you did the ultimate jutsu finish, it's really about Team 7 reuniting but failed to do so. Sasuke kept blabbering about she's too weak and can't touch him. I thought that did more damage than good. Also, CC2 needed a reason for us to play a main character, Sakura, since well, we won't play as her for a long time. Kakashi got his own boss battle in this game (so far my favorite), so he's taken. Anyway, Sasuke was actually more crueler in here than anything. Some way...I kind of miss this Sasuke. I like he really felt psycho. Maybe it's the game fault but who knows. Besides, NS save still got the win with Sakura smiling at Naruto for thanking him.

Btw, looks like I might be right, but "both of us will die" line really startled Sakura. In fact, when you talk to her in the end of the mission, she wanted to talk to you about that line but she couldn't, so she said "never mind". I do believe that line will return again once Naruto gets ready to fight Sasuke. I think that moment can make NS 98% canon for sure. 2% is Naruto's confession.

Nothing screams that Sasuke wants her or any mention from him, rather Naruto this and that, but you already got the picture. Also, while I'm almost done with the story mode, I noticed some sort of pattern. When Naruto arrives in the battlefield, he got to talk Raikage to settle the feud back in last arc, then Nagato and Itachi who he made promises to both of them, then, Kages including Tsunade, then, Jichuurikis and then side characters. That would mean Team 7 is really next one once we get to the battlefield again in the manga. Hell, it all started with Iruka, who is the first and important bond. If I'm right, I can't wait then. Maybe Kishi did it on purpose of leaving Sakura behind. Again, that color spread really tells me that there's something for her in store.

This is the calm before storm scene. I wish Sakura has something like anything that represents her. In FMA, Winry gave Ed her earrings to make sure that he will return home.
