So I just happened to come across this in my reccomendation section on Youtube, and I am speechless in a good way.
And the odds Naruto could have become like this are pretty high if not for Iruka.

Something that was acknowledged in story but again the Last retconned that. Naruto doesn't understand love, in the simplest forms because that is why he never looked at Hinata or acknowledged her feelings but that again objectively means he did not acknowledge anyone else that loved him either, including Iruka. And let's be honest with "the last's" retcon Naruto IS like pre-development Gaara in the self-serving self-interest department, he just wasn't killing people

to illustrate that, let's take a look at Naruto himself. if you strip away his character and reasons to sympathize with him and look at the actions themselves, plus any reasoning behind it it is clear he is a preachy hypocritical self entitled brat. he wanted to be hokage because he wanted acknowledgement and approval, not understanding the actual responsibilities behind the title, not to mention when you look at when the chips are down he doesn't actually have other people's interests at heart. Twice over this has been proven, Sasuke can kill any number of people he wants and can commit mass genocide but as long as he's willing to be Naruto's best friend/rival/ the D* that Naruto has plug in his A*H* he's perfectly willing to let any atrocities slide. Same thing with Obito once NAruto found out he wanted to be Hokage once it's all water under the bridge even though Obito killed his parents, almost destroyed the village and also no matter how many soldiers died because of a war Obito started and the latter's side had no actual causalities by the way, it was all zetsu fodder or edo tensei zombies. Even Obito's reasoning for his actions warrant no merit since there was no more Rin for him to kitten and let's be honest that motivation is completely unreasonable and selfish. Naruto forgives these actions despite again wanting to become Hokage, being responsible for all those lives lost that he is not even going to let the perpetrator be held accountable for, and if Sasuke had done the same thing Naruto would still beg pardon on his behalf. Natruto is completely for allowing the burning of the forrest if he can save the tree, nay, the leaf and his actions perfectly demonstrates that and also he is the ultimate "Uchiha martyr". THIS is the same guy that wants to overlook for the lives AND livelihood of an entire village. Naruto preaches about love and wanting it due to his childhood BUT He can't distinguish love of a person to love of food "the last" says, and the fact that it was not kishi writing it does not excuse the fact that that was made canon. So Naruto did not want love for love, he wanted love to stroke his ego, and again perfectly demonstrated when he decided he wanted Hinata as his trophy wife and did not give a damn the moon was going to hit the planet when she rejected him for Toneri. And ultimately Naruto's compassion is a big fat lie, to make himself feel self important but his enemies circumstances actually mean nothing to him, "he just wants to be right". he claims that he understands why the villains did what they did and it was all the fault of the ninja system. Did he change the ninja system? Is it actually realistic, to be fair? No, but that was the reasoning he is so forgiving to his enemies in the end, yet doing nothing to improve the circumstances to prevent future repetition of said villains, so this never the less paints him as a big hypocrite and liar now doesn't it? Same thing with Sasuke, Naruto has to twist Sasuke's arm until Sasuke comes back to the village to make "love to him", AND THEN SASUKE has his permission to leave. When you think about, and I know I'm am a broken record at this point but I can never stress it enough, the entire story is a completely pointless fallacy.
What's funny about that, is that he was telling Boruto that he has to look after the village and that is why he can't spend time with his family. So he's a scumbag liar either way. His family doesn't mean anything to him but his village doesn't either since he said that but Sasuke got a pass for threatening the village before and Kawaki is hinted to do that in the future but Naruto loves him more that his own flesh and blood and definitely puts him above the village on his priorities, and if Naruto were still alive at that poiont he'd hands down advocate for Kawaki to be forgiven. yet he's willing to be a ninja, if it were anyone else and kill/ assassinate for the village, but again, he's preaching love and compassion.
This post nailed it.
Let me compare another hero to Naruto. Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Vash was a man who believed in life, forgiveness, and more.
He doesn't deny the wrong doings of people, but he also is willing to forgive people if they change no matter how wrong they have done. He even forgives the people going after him AND his enemies.
Now one thing Vash stood strongly about is he does not want to kill. Thanks to Rem, he believes noone has the right to take the life of another. This moral has caused him to be injured, have scars (which he can heal, but chooses not to) and even put him in situations that he would totally be justified in killing people and he doesn't.
You then have Wolfwoofd who is essentially Trigun's version of Sasuke and Wolfwood, while he is a man of god, believes that taking a life is necessary to save the more important and innocent people in the world. This has put them at odds and one episode even pushed Wolfwood to his core. And yet, Vash will not hate him despite Wolfwood saying he should because Vash knows he is a good person that made bad choices.
Vash was preachy, but he lived as he preached. He was the hero trying to show mercy and he tried to teach everyone. There even is a Jesus allegory with him, but still.
With that being said Vash...never once became a hypocrite. He never preached no killing and then blast everyone away. He took great pains to only use violence to subdue people and take them out of the fight.
He even chides villains for killing which again is consistent.
"The ticket to the future is always blank."
Naruto should have been like Vash. Idealistic, but also realistic too. Vash never not did something because "violence is wrong." No he understand that sometimes violence can be used to help. He even reformed some villains and they changed their lives. He understands others pain even when he caused it. He even asks the people he wronged by saying "is there anything I can do to make it right?"
Naruto doesn't solve problems, he tries to make people forget them. He tries to get people to drop their pain and grievance because "he is right and we need to end hatred."
Compare the scene where Naruto took the beating vs this scene
Was Vash saying to let it go? Was Vash saying that the other guys was a cool guy? No, when he realized why this man was grieving he didn't try to tell him to drop it. He understood. You can see it in his face and when Vash begged he wasn't doing it for his sake or the sake of the kid. He did it because he didn't want the man to lose himself to real hatred. Something the man's daughter would have frowned upon.
Look at how Vash treats Frank Marlone.
Frank was a gunsmith who gave guns to his village to protect against raiders and one of the people he gave a gun to shot and killed his wife and daughter in a bank robbery. It broke the man and he turned to alcohol. He has this quote where he says that if he does nothing, then nothing happens and then you have equality. "The situation is equal." If you interfere, then you can cause chaos.
Vash takes this quotes and doesn't say he is wrong. In fact, he proves him right while also doing exactly what Frank Marlon says NOT to do.
Frank: "Why are you worried about other people's money? What do you get out of it?"
Vash: "Nothing at all, except....the situation is not Equal.
Frank is flabbergasted and just stands there watching as people stand up for themselves. Frank then asks "why am I just standing here?" Vash changed his entire perception on life WITHOUT undermining Franks own beliefs. Essentially, Vash makes people practice what they preach and he does it in the most inspiring way.
THIS is what Naruto SHOULD have been. Instead we get "do what I say or I will spank you" like some big brother figure except for Sasuke.
Other Vash quotes:
"To realize a mistake. To not lie. To love one another. To not kill. Those are very simple things, but these times won’t allow for them.”
"It is a virtue to devote one’s self to something, firmly believing in one’s own ideals. But that does not mean it’s alright to belittle the ideals or feelings of others"
"Even if you make a mistake, if you realize it was a mistake, you can always fix it."

I think there are a few factors you would have to alter in part 1 in for the role reversal in Naruto to actually work.
This could be me, but I think compared to Sasuke, Naruto definitely has a much better reason for leaving the village.
if we talk about their respective upbringings.
Cause at the very least Sasuke had the respect in the village.
Whereas Naruto everyone was just spitting in his face.

True dat, and most of that respect Sasuke had also was some sense of pity due to his loss yet not many people save for Teuchi could sympathize with Naruto just because they CHOSE to see him as Kurama instead of a kid who burdened a big problem and lost family too.

just a heads up, if anyone follows me on twitter notices me retweeting NaruHina stuff just know it's super intentional.
Doing a little experiment trial to see how much attraction that'll get towards the shippers to a post I made earlier in the day, "What do you think of NaruHina?"
So don't worry I haven't abandoned NaruSaku, and switched sides. I am still and will forever die on the hill NaruSaku should've been caon, and I'll always ship no matter what.
Nothing about the retweets or me commenting on NH posts is meant to be taken seriously.

I was wondering what the hell was going on, man! But I gave a reply to your post. And it should be a fun social experiment.
Yeah I had a feeling a couple might've gotten the wrong impression so I was like... hmm let's play along and see how things go.
Like you said it'll make for a fun little social experiment.
that would also require me to say things I would never say, but alas it is what it is.
I'm only giving myself a 2 week timer on this just to see what I can get out of it before I revert everything back to how it originally was.

Chi is doing an experiment on Twitter where he pretends to now be for NaruHina to see what happens, and it has been jarring even if I know he is doing it as an experiment.

Oh and hows it going?

But now he's confusing the hell out of me by claiming he's seriously gonna switch over and that he also had that final message here... I JUST HATE IF THIS IS A JOKE BECAUSE NOW IT'S REALLY ****ING WITH ME AND CONFUSING ME!!
...Even if I'm the most diehard of us to an extent... maybe I should just give up and quit if others like Chi are just gonna really, REALLY be quitting than sticking their guns, because if a guy like him can suddenly switch side if it's true, then what hope is there for a hopeless guy like me?
