MOVIE HYPOTHESIS:

 

Toneri actually puts Hinata in a genjutsu, so she THINKS it is her sister that is kidnapped, when in reality it's her.  Naruto + Team 7 go to rescue the real Hinata, while Genjutsu!Hinata dreams herself rescuing Hanabi with Naruto and having lovey dovey time.

 

Now that would be very cruel to Hinata.  Have her happily dream about Naruto while Toneri plots to have babies with her.... Team 7 rescues her before she gets raped, but when she wakes up she has to reconcile her dreams with reality.  And it sucks.

 

Would explain all the marketing images we've gotten of Hinata so far, where she either looks stoned or depressed.

When 699/700 spoilers came out... I had the worst feeling ever for like a day straight. For this movie, I have my hopes but I'm nervous. Though I don't feel bad, kinda good actually... maybe it's just wishful thinking, but it really can't end like this.   I think the early screening is for lucky fans, so maybe there won't be a strict rule like that? Do early screenings usually have that for normal fans? D: We'll have to see on Monday. One day from now in Japan.     
 
So what we saw was the guidebook and not the extra chapter? Or is the guidebook and chapter all in that book with Toneri, Naruto and Hinata?

Extra chapter is in that guidebook I think it's like how the recent databook had the RtN manga.

Feel exactly the same way! I really don't know how it's possible to end it the way everyone has been assuming. I can understand the pursuit of money but he spent 15 years working on this manga, sacrificing his family time and all. After everything, it can't be for nothing.

For me, what you do is hoping kishi to change the outcome while in reality he not only kill us, but erase our existence so other pairing could happen in the most asspull way.

And after this movie, you want to wait for miniseries? Hoping that kishi just trolling and he will make NS canon? Just don't, you only hurt yourself and I can't stand my fellow fan do that.

But if you want to do that, there is nothing I can do to stop it and I respect that.

No this is not, but people only want to have hope, is they guilty for that? If it's hurting you, maybe you just stop watching on what they doing? People here - understand what it is, Kishimoto is sell-out or greates troll or whatever, if something like NH/SS that didn't have a chance until 699 - pop up, so there is basically anything possible, but that's just a theory, why would you dislike people's faith? Just pass by if you don't like what you read, because you can't stop them from doing this.

I hope you're right about this. I'm so sick of Hinata from all the promotional material that I hope Toneri makes it so she's out of commission for most of the movie.

So... the crackish NH marketing we've been seeing was mostly from Hinata's dreams? Lol. Maybe Kikitten retained a few brain cells afterall.
The plot actually sounds kinda sad and bittersweet--Hinata dreaming of saving her sister with Naruto then waking up to see it was only herself being saved. The only mistake is in having Naruto magically love her back at the end.
I might just be able to stomach this crappy movie.

Exactly! That's what has been getting me. Even now there's been no solid evidence that Naruto has changed his feelings.
