Hm, I wasn't here on that "day" so I would like to ask people here. Technically, it is counted as a debate in certain aspect, so here I go:
1) When Hinata confess her love, what was your reaction at that time and how did you feel about NS after that?
I hadn't joined any forums at that point (or at least, wasn't active on any of them). I remember feeling a bit disappointed and annoyed, and thinking that NH might happen after all, but I wasn't completely sold that it would.

2) The fight ended and Sakura hugs Naruto. What is your thought at that time and did it help you feel better about NS?
I was part of the forums for that, and if you want, here's a convenient link to the thread for that:
Spoilers:

http://www.narusaku....?showtopic=8765 It was an awesome feeling, and definitely restored any confidence I had lost from the NaruHina confession

It was one of those great times to be a NaruSaku fan for sure!
About the lover nin scene: i dont think its there to misslead us, i think its there to show us sakura overthinking her feelings for sasuke. I mean if it was something else, we could have also seen sakura saying that she loves someone else and afterwards thinks of sasuke. BUT NO, we got the lovernin saying:"If its somebody you love hes bound to be a great person." and afterwards sakura thinks of sasuke in bad light.
Why would kishi add this scene if it was to show that sakura still loves sasuke?
So for sure this is a big message. But its no positive for SS, its one for NS.
Or it could be for both reasons. Like the old saying goes "two birds, one stone".
I do believe Kishi wants to create doubt on the romantic conclusion so that when it's finally resolved it can really take people by surprise. So even though it might look obvious that Sakura would eventually end up with Naruto, Kishi still wants to create some tension for his audience so that the end of the love development doesn't come off as boring and predictable.
I think that Kishi definitely the love letter nin scene there primarily to be a catalyst for Sakura rethinking her romantic feelings for Sasuke and eventually getting over them, and secondly to add tension and drama to the romance subplot.
PhenixElite makes an excellent point, imo, that if the scene was just to reinforce Sakura's love for Sasuke, then it would have made for sense for Sakura to be shown thinking of Sasuke when she first responded that she already has someone that she likes, rather than after the love letter nin talked about whoever she loves must be a great guy.
Also, just stop and think for a minute about how ludicrous of a scene it really is if its just to reinforce Sakura's feelings that were just confirmed last arc for Sasuke: Its right in the middle of the war, a tense moment with the spy at camp, and here's comes this random fodder nin, a grown man, with
a love letter of all things. A grown male soldier giving a teenage girl a love letter in the middle of war. And all that just to tell us what we already knew from last arc and before? No - the love letter nin was necessary as a person who knew absolutely nothing about Sasuke and Sakura's feelings for and relationship with him in order to make a comment like he did. None of the other named characters could have been in a position to say the things the love letter nin did.
And that more than anything makes me think that it is for purposes of instigating a change in thinking for Sakura.
He has been building up her feelings for Naruto, and now he needs to resolve her feelings for Sasuke first before he can move any further.
what do you guys think the next NS moment will be in the manga?
Hard to say - either Sakura telling Naruto something on the battlefield about helping him no matter what once she and the others arrive that makes him think of Itachi's words to him about his parents, or Sakura healing him after the battle and any conversation they have during that.
So I stumbled upon something rather interesting. It seems that in the Special Promo DVD of Road to Ninja which contains an interview from Kishimoto, it mentions that the character he most likely resembles is Naruto or maybe Kiba.
But the interesting part is that he said that the female character he'd go out with is Hinata.
It was mentioned by a user named takl in NF. The reason I believe he's not lying is because a while ago he also informed us of another interview that Kishi had with japanese playboy in which he said he created Hinata for the sake of having a big breasted character.
What do you guys make of this new info? It's probably irrelevant, but might as well discuss it.
That's kind of strange, given that he said earlier that it would be too weird to choose a girl character to go out with before, but whatever floats him boat I guess.
Regardless, I don't think that it has much if anything to do with NaruHina's likelihood. If it did, I think we would have seen something romantic/non-platonic from Naruto's side by now. And the movie really had barely any interaction between Naruto and Hinata at all, not even any physical attraction from Naruto towards Hinata's new revealing outfit. Plus, in the cover for the movie one shot, Naruto couldn't look more uncomfortable - even though Hinata is literally grinding her oversized boob into his arm, he is sweating, grimacing, and holding up a hand in a "I don't want you near me" kind of gesture.
On the same note according to that interview his answer was something along the lines of "it's a little creepy to think about dating one of the female characters I created, but if I was forced to then I guess it would be... Hinata, maybe".
The beginning of that sounds exactly like the same answer he gave way back when - in the same interview that he said that he would go out with Shikamaru if he had to choose a guy character to go out with.

It could very well be that he just gave an answer for the sake of giving it. Maybe he only said Hinata because she has the biggest breast (if the playboy interview is anything to go by). Besides,
it's been known that Kishi is very fond of Sakura as if she was a daughter to him, so it would've been even more creepy if he had said Sakura.
Lol agreed -- I think this would definitely be the reason why he didn't say Sakura. He is undoubtedly fond of her, if his defense of her in relation to the fans calling Hinata a better heroine is very telling.
