So, for comical relief, Hinata is a tsundere and she beats Naruto/her kids when she's angry now? Very unfitting and out of character for Hinata. Not to mention it contradicts in and of itself.

Shy, silent, obedient character won't beat opposing person even for comical relief. It doesn't work.

NH supporters dislike such character traits. Who are they fan-servicing now? The people who loved NaruSaku dynamic has left the franchise.

Must be very desperate for WSJ and Pierrot to turn Hinata into Sakura just to get a bit of sales hike, risking the loyal NH to leave.

You don't remember Road of the Ninja where they completely change Hinata's personality and her fans loved it? Its her devotion to Naruto they like, not her personality; as long as she has that, nothing else matters. 

 

As for her current change in personality. She was weak, pathetic, and could only cry while Bolt acted out and Naruto neglected his family in the Boruto movie. Her fans hated it. So they added the all mighty mom bit to make her seem less pathetic. Her family still has all the problems because she won't confront Naruto but at least she isn't curling into a ball and crying about it.

Besides, they only hate if SAKURA is good and thats why she gained some of Hinatas traits like fainting spells. It also as said shows the hypocrisy behind everything.

Their standard has always been Hinata good, Sakura bad. From what I also recall, they loved when the daughter knocked out Naruto during his inauguration day. When they would have screamed bloody murder if Sakura even slapped him. It was fine, cute, and funny because it was Hinata's daughter doing it.

Hell, Kishimoto believed that all of the fan appeal with Hinata was her boobs when talking about her in an interview.  Recently, one of my friends, who was a loyal Hinata supporter, has given up the ghost and stopped defending Hinata because he acknowledged that she never became this badass warrior woman/perfect complement to Naruto that he envisioned her to be after the Last. It took him reading/watching Boruto for him to realize that Hinata is nothing but an empty vessel whose sole characteristic is being endlessly devoted to Naruto, at the expense of everyone else(since she doesn't even give a damn about raising her kids or being a good sister to Hanabi).

Also they hope that shy nature of hers means she is secretly freaky in bed. But I was going off her personality and what trait made them obsessed with her compared to other anime girls...besides Naruto being the first/main anime they watch when they were young.

 

And the main appeal of her is, she's easy. What did Naruto have to do to earn her eternal devotion? Nothing. She is this super rich elite smoking hot girl that is completely and utterly devoted to him and all he had to do is exist to get her. She is the dream girl of lonely weebs that resent women for not having sex with them. For her males fans that is. For the females, she is this shy girl who is secretly the most beautiful and perfect woman in the world, that is just so tortured by the world; who only needs once chance for to get what she is entitled to, everything she wants.

Those would be "extra appeal points", if anything. Post time skip, sure. But she had vocal supporters even when she was 12 with the body of a twelve year old, and still had those fans saying she deserves a chance with Naruto. No, It was always her devotion to the social pariah that fans loved about her above all else first, and the "stacked, super model body" came after.

(when she showed no such hidden anger in the canon story) Why make the movie, if she was perfect for Naruto as is? *tick tock, tick tock*

All of us here that were fans of the story first and foremost didn't even NEED to watch/read Boruto to say we saw it coming miles away. We knew and predicted all this long before Boruto existed. Hinata NEVER complimented Naruto's personality type. she was just a wish fulfillment, as already stated. She is shy and submissive, she is rich, she grew out large curves after a few years, and was madly in love with the MC that had little friends if any or was deprived of meaningful social interaction. THAT is why fans wanted her with Naruto, more or less. It wasn't because they actually think she's a great match for him. Even the story acknowledges it, since Naruto NEVER spent any of his free time with Hinata and they never had a real heart to heart talk after their personal conversation from before Naruto's match with Neji during Chuunin exam.

Exactly, it makes no sense! If she's so good, why make her "scary"? Why try to make her like Sakura? I only know 1 reason why, Phantom, and that's because they know she was NOT meant to be Naruto's soulmate. She just was chosen out of the fact they wanted to use Naruto to live vicariously through, and altered the story to the HUGE mess that it's become after "The Last" and all of that. And for what? Some side character who only got what she wanted out of favoritism from a studio that shouldn't have had a hand in the fate of a series, and out of pity?
