One nightmare pairing happening would've been better than two. One less threat to worry about.

If you go through this tumblr user's posts, you realize that there is no credibility whatsoever in his translations.

Logically, I know we need to accept Kishi's decision as one that isn't rooted in the content of his manga, but some irrational decision or some pressure from external sources. Emotionally, I think I'd be a mess if I saw a SS or NH kiss or intimate moment in this movie.

Yeah, same. Hopefully it means they're going to move on. I've read a lot of manga, seen a lot of anime, never seen the main character give up on the one they love, even if that person is in love with someone else. However throughout the manga/anime we know that Sakura is in love with Naruto, she just doesn't understand her feelings at the moment. I think that now that Sasuke has been "brought back", this would be the ideal time to do so.

If this is Naruto: The Last Asspull, then I can tell you a lot of Naruto fans in general won't be too impressed.

I think it rips in the beginning of the film. The trailer kinda gives us a general outlook of what happens when, but:

Look at Hinata's outfit in the same scene. It looks like she's in some sort of pajamas or casual clothes, not her ninja outfit, so obviously this scene is before they set out to go get Hanabi. Probably in the beginning of the movie when we see everyone in the village. Sakura's clothing also tells me this was even before Hinata was attacked and she ran into Sakura at this clothing store. This was during the day and it's winter/cold in Konoha. Or they could have gone together.
 

 
We see Hanabi in casual/sleep clothes as well defending herself from Toneri probably.
 

 
This is a dark setting. It was most likely night time/everyone in the clan was sleeping when Toneri attacked and tried to kidnap Hinata/Hanabi. Most of what we got in the trailer was during the timeframe of when Toneri attacked the village and tried to kidnap Hinata. Naruto is in his casual clothes too, so obviously this happened all of a sudden. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Hinata in her causal/sleeping clothes. Call it whatever. This scene is probably a little while after the scene with Sakura reassuring Hinata of giving Naruto the scarf, so it might be why she has it with her, she was ready to give it to him. Not sure if that's the case, but with all this information all we can do is speculate and this is what I'm getting from the trailer. Notice how the scarf rips in two when she's falling. She was probably attacked somewhere in her house/village. She's holding the scarf and falling, so I don't really know what to say other than the fact that she probably failed to defend herself from Toneri/the enemy and fell off some building. Or maybe he threw her off a building to kill her before Naruto could save her. The scarf rips in two during this time, and I doubt that she brought it with her for the mission. Naruto is not wearing this scarf anywhere, especially since it ripped here. I doubt that he actually even wears it at all.
 

 
Basically the scarf rips during the attack (night time) and the day before they set out to save Hanabi. It probably fully ripped tbh, look how fast it fell apart in that 0.5 second at the end of that scene with Hinata falling.
 
This. Toneri is the main focus on that cover, and who's being targeted? Hinata. Nothing special. Looking at all the other volume covers, this one is the same.

The scarf is probably being used as a promotional tool. There have been no screenshots from the film of Naruto wearing the scarf, why not?

EDIT: I just realized how much I miss our fandom before the last chapters came out. So many great members have left us lately. Kishi has not only destroyed his characters' personalities but the fandom of this forum.

Now crossing my fingers for an NS ending. Also, if there is a strict embargo on the early screening then I think that's good news. I think there'll be an embargo either way, but if it's really strict it'll mean that they're trying to hide something.

MOVIE HYPOTHESIS:

 

Toneri actually puts Hinata in a genjutsu, so she THINKS it is her sister that is kidnapped, when in reality it's her.  Naruto + Team 7 go to rescue the real Hinata, while Genjutsu!Hinata dreams herself rescuing Hanabi with Naruto and having lovey dovey time.

 

Now that would be very cruel to Hinata.  Have her happily dream about Naruto while Toneri plots to have babies with her.... Team 7 rescues her before she gets raped, but when she wakes up she has to reconcile her dreams with reality.  And it sucks.

 

Would explain all the marketing images we've gotten of Hinata so far, where she either looks stoned or depressed.
