I agree with you about the game, neoshadow. It's funny to note that the games barely highlight Hinata -> Naruto moments. The confession is skipped heavily and Sakura's hug remains the same. It happened two games already. In fact, the games often highlights Sakura -> Naruto moments more than anything, including adding some new ones. Almost all the games have Sakura fighting Naruto in a battle, due to the fact it's a fighting game, but they made a reason respectively. One game has Naruto and Sakura betting that if Naruto wins, she and Naruto will date. Another one will be that they fight each other to see if Naruto can carry her throughout every missions they will go together, which Naruto replied back with a smile saying he will. There are others, but perhaps another thread should be made. I don't know, I'll see.
Looking forward to more replies.

She didn't cry why. I think the real question is why Kishi chose Sakura to hug Naruto, rather Hinata if she has so called build up to that moment? Was it really just for fans' sake? Was it meant to be her own development and not relationship one? Sakura stole her thunder by hugging Naruto in the end, in front of people no less. People must already think they're lovers, which they're not yet. So yeah, think about that.

Double posts, double posts everywhere.
But seriously, I know you aren't doing it on purpose but it seems every time you post it's doing it two times in a row.
As for Hinata crying, she did cry when Naruto came back, but that was because she was happy he was alive after his fight with Pain. But when Sakura hugged Naruto she was actually making a very happy smile, as if she was glad that situation was happening.
I think the more important thing to note in that moment is that she was the only one with a silent speech bubble. None of the other characters showed a bubble in that moment. I think the most important question is why did Kishimoto choose to put that speech bubble with Hinata? This moment was a highlight of the bond Naruto and Sakura share and yet it seems Kishi wanted us to see Hinata taking special notice of it, why?
It could be that it'll be significant in the future, if not, then I don't see the point of Kishi making that silent speech bubble.
I do wonder sometimes if Hinata will actually try to openly pursue Naruto after the war. It could be that she'll seriously ask him if he'd be able to consider her as a girlfriend. But I think that such a scene would be made to mislead us into thinking Naruto might take her up on the offer. Since people where left confused with Sakura's confession they might think that Naruto would probably give up on Sakura since it seems she'll only ever like Sasuke. But then Kishimoto give us the plot twist on how Naruto is still determined to win Sakura over even after all that has happened.
Maybe all that build up of Hinata wanting to hold Naruto's hand and that scene with the lover-nin were purposely placed by Kishi in order to mislead us. Then if Kishi makes a scene with Hinata asking Naruto if he would want to be with her it would truly leave us confused as to what would happen next.
Would Naruto give up on Sakura since it looks hopeless and be with Hinata who is a sure bet? or Will he still be determined to fight for what his heart wants?
My heart and gut says it will be the second one.

I could imagine a scene where hinata asks naruto out after the war, but of course naruto says he loves someone else and will also say something again that hinata is not too sad. Like chunin exams or during the war.
About the lover nin scene: i dont think its there to misslead us, i think its there to show us sakura overthinking her feelings for sasuke. I mean if it was something else, we could have also seen sakura saying that she loves someone else and afterwards thinks of sasuke. BUT NO, we got the lovernin saying:"If its somebody you love hes bound to be a great person." and afterwards sakura thinks of sasuke in bad light.
Why would kishi add this scene if it was to show that sakura still loves sasuke?
So for sure this is a big message. But its no positive for SS, its one for NS.

Or it could be for both reasons. Like the old saying goes "two birds, one stone".
I do believe Kishi wants to create doubt on the romantic conclusion so that when it's finally resolved it can really take people by surprise. So even though it might look obvious that Sakura would eventually end up with Naruto, Kishi still wants to create some tension for his audience so that the end of the love development doesn't come off as boring and predictable.

Yep thats true. For sure he wants to create tension on the romance plot, like we have seen in the lastest chapters with hinata. But no matter what he makes, for me its already obvious where hes going

1) When Hinata confess her love, what was your reaction at that time and how did you feel about NS after that?
2) The fight ended and Sakura hugs Naruto. What is your thought at that time and did it help you feel better about NS?
Now, be honest and go by the timeline. I will say mine after you guys. I called it.
When I saw the Pain arc, I wasn't really a shipper yet. I always supported the idea of Naruto and Sakura getting together, but I wouldn't say I shipped them (besides I thought it was obvious it was gonna end up that way at that point). Admittedly the hug did make me like it more, but it wasn't her confession that I consider myself an actual fan of that pairing.
So when I saw both Hinata's confession and the hug, I saw it mostly through in a non-bias view. I've always try to see things through an non-pairing related view, but now it is little bit more difficult because I've now chosen a side. Kishi could have easily persuaded me into Naruhina or Sasusaku at the time when I saw the Pain arc, but he didn't and instead made me more invested into Narusaku.
So I'll answer your questions with the same response I had when I originally saw them:
1) Pointless. I never really cared about Hinata's character (in fact, I've grown to hate her because of her popularity), and he confession never seemed necessary. It was probably necessary for her character to confess, but I was never really invested in that character that much to care. Timing seemed off too, I know she thought that she thought that may have been her last chance to confess and help him, but I don't think it was properly executed or had a proper build-up (she was mostly absent in that arc, and then after a few appearances just right beforehand, she gets an whole episode dedicated to herself). However, when she was fighting pain, I was admittedly rooting for her. Not to win of course, Pain was WAY out of her league, but to actually help free Naruto. In that fight they made her the underdog (like they did with her fight with Neji), and I generally root for the underdog (besides, Pain was an a$$hole). When I look back at that moment, now with a certain bias, I still think it was pointless. It only lead to Naruto turning into the nine-tails, and that part also seemed pointless. That only lead to Naruto finally meeting his father, which wasn't pointless, but could have been brought about through different means.
2) I actually did like the hug........but I didn't think much about it. At that point I thought it was very obvious Naruto and Sakura were going to end up together, what with all their development and parallels. So hug didn't really add much other than to reinforce that Sakura's feelings for Naruto has changed since the beginning. She could be falling for him, or now just seems him as her best friend. I always interpret the hug as the first time that Sakura has shown real romantic love to Naruto, and that was the moment she started actually started loving him. I still see it as that, especially now, even though it has been shown that Sakura probably still has feelings for Sasuke (which is dumb).

Apparently NH/SS think so too judging by the comments for that episode.

I started with the anime, and approached the whole thing fairly clinically since I had no emotional investment at the beginning. I was looking at story construction and basic characterization, waiting to see what patterns emerged and what direction I felt the author was heading. Within the first 20 episodes I made my decision.
While I liked Sasuke much better in the beginning than I do now, and I found Naruto and Sakura both immensely irritating at first, there was no contest. I could see the general path Naruto was going to walk as the hero, I could see the complementary nature of Naruto and Sakura's personalities, and I thought Naruto's affection for Sakura was the most adorable thing I'd ever seen. (And that was BEFORE he fought Gaara to save Sakura's life. *swoon*)
From that point on I liked Sasuke less and less, and I began to wish I could take Sakura aside and say, "Honey, what are you thinking?" Zillions of episodes and chapters later, I have seen nothing to alter my original opinion.
Honestly, my first thought was, "Kishimoto is deliberately muddying the water to build suspense about the final pairing." And as I have stated elsewhere on the board, I did not care for Hinata's confession itself. Naruto's reaction felt deeply awkward to me, and whether it's rational or not I resented it on his behalf. I was certainly not dissuaded from my belief in NS.
The hug was an obvious indication of the depth of Naruto and Sakura's mutual concern and understanding. Unlike Naruto's reaction to Hinata's confession, while he was surprised by Sakura's public display of care for him there was nothing awkward about the moment they shared or what it meant.
Overall, Pain's attack on Konoha was, to me, an illustration of Naruto and Sakura's unspoken bond and the strength of their partnership. Sakura screaming for Naruto to return may be my most favorite moment of all so far. Her need for him, and her explicit trust in him, was so pure and honest and real.
And it was grandly symbolic. Naruto didn't disappoint her. He showed up, meeting her needs and expectations simply because he is who he is. And once he was on the scene, the two of them worked in unison -- like partners... like a Hokage and his wife would -- to attend to their duty and protect their village.
In my opinion it doesn't get any better or more prophetic than that.

The problem is we dont know what sakura was thinking for sure in that panel of the Nin 1 say she was sad and she still loves sasuke the other says she is ashamed but we just cant know for sure. still i really am not 100% sure about the narusaku pairing i love it ofcourse but still kishi still needs too make sakura see that she loves naruto over sasuke and i think we are not even close of enought proof of that, i think she still cares too much about sasuke a bit wierd in the overall story but hey.
last chapter i believe sai was the 1 right after the confession of sakura he said she loves sasuke so much that she wanted too put him out of hes darkness.
stupid part is sasuke never shown signs of love for sakura.
so the thing is what will naruto do if hinata asks him out :
1 srry i am in love with some1else and hinata asking have you confessed too that girl
or
2 naruto will slowly accepts that he needs too let sakura go.
But at the same time we have the RTN movie where kishi is part of and have alot of naruto sakura moments blushing teasing parents of naruto ( is that your girl friend) whats the point of kishi doing this with sakura and naruto if hes not having a plan.
but even with this movie TBH it wont gief me the 100% of narusaku too much most still happen for me;P i do have faith in it but i am not gonna say it will happen.
for me now the important thing is the war story

Noone can say for sure it will happen but you can predict it happening in a very very high possibility.
If you just look on what happened till now and what kind of manga it is and what message its supposed to give its not that hard to see right?

But the interesting part is that he said that the female character he'd go out with is Hinata.
It was mentioned by a user named takl in NF. The reason I believe he's not lying is because a while ago he also informed us of another interview that Kishi had with japanese playboy in which he said he created Hinata for the sake of having a big breasted character.
What do you guys make of this new info? It's probably irrelevant, but might as well discuss it.
