Yeah I have, I never thought it was gory, just bloody lol I felt bad for Lucy at the end of the manga more than the anime..

Well then it's definitely the bloodiest anime I have ever seen. I never read the manga, in the anime I didn't feel sorry for at the end.

I'm conflicted about ending the series after the Pain arc. I will admit that it is a nice conclusion. Naruto defeated the organisation that has hunted him and his kin relentlessly for how many years, he finally surpassed his master, he was acknowledged by the village as a hero and it was even hinted that he would get the girl of his dreams (Sakura). 

 

After that, all that would need to be resolved would be Sasuke. Since Sasuke was already on his way to Konoha, this was the perfect setup for a final battle. The only missing part is the philosophical context in the form of Naruto's version of peace versus Sasuke's version of peace, or something similar.

 

Then again if the series had never continued beyond the Pain arc, we would never have gotten a deeper explanation of Minato and Kushina's relationship. We would also never have gotten a deeper look into the politics and relationships between the other villages.

 

I think my current stance is that the series should have continued. The biggest problem is the lack of focus. Had Kishi been able to keep his wits about him, then the series probably wouldn't have turned into such a monumental mess. 

 

This "revelation" of Naruto not truly loving Sakura contradicts the entire reason why NH fans bashed her in the first place. They claim she's a slut and heartbreaker but how can she be either of those things if Naruto never truly loved her and she would never be with him anyway? Sakura cannot be a heartbreaker if Naruto didn't have feelings for her. With this new info that Naruto never had genuine feelings for her the Sakura hate suddenly has zero basis and yet NHtards continue on hating her.

Simple: It's Sakura. She can't do anything right. Besides, there is so much conflicting information that they can literally choose to interpret it any way they want. They get to totally dismiss Naruto's love for Sakura while simultaneously bashing Sakura to hell and back for, like you said, being a slut and a heartbreaker. 

 

Another reason would be double standards. They like NH and hate NS and so they will do use anything to discredit every aspect of NS, whether it be Naruto's love for Sakura, Sakura herself, the MS parallel, Yamato's comments, Sai's comments etc. etc.

 

Again, this is only directed at the more hardcore fringes of the NH fandom. Doublethink is their most potent weapon.

If I knew nothing about Naruto and Sasuke's past, it's sad to say that the current Sasuke looks like a lot better of a guy than the current Naruto.

Now - Sasuke looks like plain vagabond who is not ok with people being arround him. Naruto... someone who is insulted by fate/life, and now he is angry.

You're right though...It's funny how Tobi declaration on war did more good than harm. Only harm is death, but good in terms of forever peace (see MGS, you were wrong!), Sasuke is cleaned, Hagoromo got his closure (I think?), Orochimaru is back (yay?), Kabuto is good and alive (yay?), and many more...

You go it right, Naruto's generation - didn't saw war, so it didn't have any understanding of it. Itachi saw it, and he choose to sacrifice his beloved one, to save entire village. In the end - Naruto witnesed what is war, and he could become savior, but Kishimoto didn't think so, in the end, it was about Sasuke and his sins, not about how Naruto finaly put too use Hashirama's, Sarutobi's, Jiraiya's, Nagato's, Itachi's legacy of finding true piece and preventing war. He just there... Kishimoto failed to deliver any message. Big Boss was right, in the end - there is no true piece. The one of closest to it was Naruto's story, but it failed hard to even explain what is changed after they end the war. Good job whoever is responsible for this.

I already know what Season 2 is about. But I'm still getting feels. They managed to create one of the best shoujo animes ever w/out making the main two characters ever kiss.

I swear to god, that short girl Yuri Makita is making me wanna puke. Why does she remind me such much of Hinata ?!

 

Don't compare Yuri to Hinata. Seriously, she is a person that values her friendship more than her crush. Hinata's crush is above her family. Yuri Makita is actually a great friend.

Because Naruto and Sasuke are so overpowered now that if anyone dares try to oppose them they'll be executed. That doesn't seem far-fetched with how both the current Naruto and Sasuke have been acting.

She is a great friend. I've seen how she gave up her crush for her friend thanks to wiki.

No, I've seen the opening, and it wasn't that bad. I've skimmed through the manga and spoilered myself (stupid me). I was just so shocked you know... I honestly think that it might be psychologically too much too me.

That's understandable, believe me at one point on a certain episode I felt like droping it.

You know, there was ways to do it, no "perfect" way, but at least, some good way to picture some version of it.

Naruto kind of did the same thing. He put a girl he barely talk to above everyone else. This includes the people that were really there for him.
