I admire your faith my friend. But If Kishi does pull that on us then I will take back every criticism I have levied at him and openly admit that he is one of the greatest mangakas of all time.
Don't lose faith my friend. Remember what Naruto,Dbz, and Yugioh taught us. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

699 and 700 make me look back fondly on the Buu arc in DBZ.
That's when you know that Kishi really made a stinker

I say, it useless. Nothing will change. Kishi is bad writer.i've read the most compelling argument on this whole disaster that made me give kishi one last chance. lol i know what you guys are gonna say.
No wonder he doesn't get recognition among the otaku fan.
Just let it go luffy.

"more than, and I think this is the last I’ll post on this subject until at least the movie or the “new project” if ever, anything that has bothered me the more this goes on has been the reactions and perspectives of so many of us supposed narusaku shippers and naruto fans in general.
How quickly and easily, after all the history of the manga, all the story and character, all the logical arguments, deductions, themes, parallels, motifs, etc., the history and written for all to see track record of Kishimoto and his manga, so many of you are able to throw all logic and reason out the window and attack the writer and story without at least considering what many of you are ironically citing what makes these last two chapters so strange and out of place.
How can you all acknowledge that it doesn’t fit his established narrative, writing style, the themes, plots, and ideas behind the story, and his track record for handling his work up until this point and NOT think that he’s simply setting up for something big in the future? How can we all acknowledge the databooks which he himself has written, his previous official (and some unofficial) intents and plans for his story and his characters and see that he hasn’t fulfilled them and immediately attack his integrity as an artist, writer and storyteller as well as attack him as a person, as opposed to even considering that he has more up his sleeves than he’s letting on?
I mean sure, maybe I’m just convinced or deluding myself that this whole thing is some human intrusmentality-type fantasy deal. But again, for a writer who’s demonstrated so much over the life of a 15 year story that he’s created, how are so many of you going this far out of your mind over these two strange chapters that supposedly “end” the story in a way that reflects none of the writers work up until this point?
I’ve already said it, so I won’t go into it entirely again, but I believe in the writer who’s spent 15 years crafting a very special story and very special relationships, themes, motifs, and symbolism amongst his characters. I don’t believe for one minute that any writer - any artist - could or seriously would, no matter how seemingly tired of their present work or projects, throw all logic and all the effort and talent and passion they’ve put into what they’ve done out just to get rid of it and move on in a manner that destroys everything they’ve done so far.
And I’m not only confused, disappointed, and disturbed with which the ease so much of this fandom has turned on the story and the writer before seeing the ultimate conclusion of what he has planned, but I’m also beginning to become disgusted. Especially considering that this fandom will give more respect, benefit of the doubt, legitimacy and passion in defence of the designs of it’s fanfiction and fanfic writers than you are to the actual writer of the source material that clearly isn’t finished - and you aren’t even doing the courtesy of waiting to see.
Now granted, certain factions of the fandom have not been helpful (namely the ones I haven’t bothered to tag as they’ve been unable to be reasoned with from the beginning so they sure as hell aren’t worth the effort now) but for crying out loud.
To read how so many of you can pick apart the things that seem to be blatantly and obviously pointing to the fact that this thing isn’t over - and I’ll go as far as saying some sort of illusionary plot device - setting up a future pay-off and doesn’t reflect the quality and integrity of Masashi Kishimoto’s work so far and instead of thinking ahead to what that pay-off might actually be are more content, if not down right ecstatic, to abuse, attack and demean the author and his work; that you would not even try to give him the benefit of the doubt and exercise even some of the logic and reasoning power displayed in defence of the work before now, is frankly far more abhorrent and disgraceful than anything Kishimoto even could have written.
And I say that beyond even being a fan of the Kishimoto and Naruto, but as an [aspiring] artist, myself. And considering how many of you on tumblr would identify yourselves the same way, you should bloody well know better.
Again, I don’t believe for one second that Masashi Kishimoto is just that bad of a writer, that he’s just that tired and sick of his own creation, or that this is the end he envisions for his project he’s laboured, lived and suffered with for 15 years.
I don’t know how, when, or what the true conlcusion will look like but I’m going to bet against however many of you that disagree that this isn’t the real ending for the story or Kishimoto’s way of handing it off. And it certainly isn’t the the true resolution of the journey of Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno - individually and certainly not as far as their relationship together.
NaruSaku is endgame and I can’t wait to see it, however long it takes. I’m keeping my backpack on and the rest of you… thank you for exemplifying perfectly why I’ve been completely uninterested in engaging the fandom like this."

Half of me has given up. The other half can't accept this outcome with all of the chapters and evidence and character development and common sense and decency and story technique and morals and plot rules....

I agree but you can't force someone to stop having hope. For those who have hope let them. You never know what might happen tbh.

In all honesty, I lost all hope.
LOL.
but for those who won't stop believing, I am so happy for you.
don't listen to those people who tell you to "let it go."
because I understand. It's hard to understand this joke of an ending and how it was possible this how it truly ended.
please, stay strong. (:

the movie takes place before 700. This movie will just show us how Naruto fell in love with Hinata. NS is already dead stop hoping. You'll only bring yourself disappointment.
that's the thing, this was never confirmed now that I think about it, all it said was "blank period" here i'll repost my idea:
that's not what I'm saying though, think for a second, what if the movie in fact takes place in the time period with all those the last designs, and then that villain toneri goes after hinata, and not only does he capture her but he puts her in a tsukiyomi, and this whole chapter called 700 is the genjutsu?
