NS will always be the real couple in my mind.The worst ending in recent memory will not change that for me.

Not being biased at all but the silver medal thing doesn't apply to NS because we have moments or evidence of Sakura displaying feelings for him that were past platonic while at the same time being ashamed of loving Sasuke/falling slowly out of love with him, so, if she was to completely move on from Sasuke and get with Naruto, he wouldn't be a silver medal, because she was already falling for him

Now in the case of NH, it's different (thanks to kishi literally) . He converts Sakura back to an even kittentier version of her part 1 self, completely ignoring Naruto, or even that he fulfilled his promise to her, to fan girl over Sasuke again and travel with him -_-So the Naruto in this sh*tty ending never confesses, and decides to go for Hinata, who he already knows has feelings for him. So basically, Hinata was a back up option, for 1 they didnt have that development where Naruto fell out of love with Sakura, and was at the same time falling for Hinata..It was right after Sakura when back to kittenura Whoruno, that Naruto got with Hinata

Well, if the rumours about the final chapters being drawn by his assistants (which I believe, the art does kind of look a little off) are true, then there's no wonder why Kishi didn't want to draw that ending, seeing as the likely conclusion in that case was that it was forced upon him for the sake of the popularity of a spinoff.

The ending was well and truly terrible but I've made my peace with it. I didn't think I could keep going with this series, but I've decided I won't let 2 chapters ruin the love I had for the 698 chapters that preceded. I fully intend to keep writing fan fiction for Naruto for as long as I can, with an added focus on NaruSaku most likely.

 

I'm still mourning the end of the manga and probably will for a while. Thankfully the empty feeling in my stomach has diminished a bit.

Honestly, now that I thought of it. I'm tempted to watch the movie just for Sakura but then the ending flashed back in my mind and I was like "kitten no". Thank the heavens Ramen is going to watch it and keep us updated.

Count me in the minority, but I don't think Sakura looks good the way she's drawn in 700. The sketches we saw for the movie were way better.

yeah something seems off to me, the differences in design compared to this epilouge, the fact some people still look young in this, the out of character characters, the unexpected couples. I'm telling you guys this might end up all being a genjutsu and the sakura sasuke talk was sakura's resolution and the entirety of 700 may in fact be a genjutsu hinata is put in by toneri

One of the reasons why I never supported NH was because Naruto literally had no interest in Hinata. If she was meant to be his love interest why have him have a crush on Sakura in Ch 3 and pursue her all through the series until the very last chapter?
I get making the heroine have a crush on Sasuke who is Naruto's rival..in order to intensify competition. But Naruto giving up Sakura at the very end and marrying the girl he barely noticed was just...pathetic.

That chapter is real. Kishi would not make something like that just for the sake of NS.
