No wonder my interest in the series plummeted dramatically. As long as Naruto never gives up he'll continue chasing Sasuke until he dies of old age. 

That's my prediction as well. Naruto will die of old age and he still won't save Sasuke or whatever he wants to do with Sasuke. At this point it seems Naruto is chasing after Sasuke to make babies with him. That's how devoted Naruto is to him. It's like Sasuke's the perfect baby maker and Naruto just needs to have that.

Their backgrounds are similar in that they abandoned Konoha over the belief that they were misunderstood victims of a biased system and by setting up an illicit government for the purpose of attacking other countries (assuming Sasuke's revolutionary ambitions spill over into the movie). But the motives that drive them to carry out their crimes and their abilities are different from each other's.

Maybe Naruto scalped Sasuke's head in the fight and he's bald underneath that turban or bandages  .

 

Still hate the direction that this is going  you might as well rename the manga Sasuke   God why can't somebody just shoot him in the head and save us from this BS  .

Nope its Sasuke and the magic charm of the Uchiha's or Sasuke and the power of Uciha's love   .  Seriously I'm getting tired everything getting revolved around  his kitten  .

nothing important... It says that a shippuden broadcasting will start on 6 october... then says "Naruto's birth, the fated rival Sasuke, and the team 7 meets/reassemble again" (referred to shippuden btw) and this broadcast some info regarding the movie could be released.

A bolder and hunkier Naruto will be noticeable on his orange outfit that has evolved entirely from the previous puberty outfit he had during Shippuden. His love interest, Sakura, however, will be wearing her distinct short ninja outfit. The outfits of the smartest Konoha ninja, Shikamaru and Sai are quite similar from their previous outfits.

It's really less about fulfilling Obito's dream and more about Kakashi's character development. For years, the only reason why Kakashi never intended to become Hokage is because of how he views himself as a failure. Kakashi has all the skills necessary to become Hokage, but he severely lacked any ambition. One of the central themes of this manga is the hopes and ambition of its characters. Kakashi and Shikamaru are the outliers here. That is, until this final arc where Shikamaru decides to settle on becoming Naruto's adviser, unlike Hokage as most hoped for him. But that's still a big leap of development for him. Which is what Kishi decided to do for Kakashi as well.

It was time for Kakashi to let go of his past and look forwards to the future for himself. This is what Obito's message essentially boils down to.

Regardless of Kakashi's failures I don't think he would have wanted to become Hokage anyway. It was never something he thought of or pursued.
