Now, getting back on topic. Does anybody want to see Crocodile join the Straw Hats? I mean, Oda did say the next to join would be a bad guy who had a change of heart. RedFaction wasn't lying about that. Crocodile obviously wanted to be the pirate king, but fell short, and went berserk with rage out of his dream slipping away.

 

At Marineford, he even protected Luffy from Mihawk and Akainu. Him losing to the new rookie kid (Luffy) might of made him change. Ivankov even spent time with him while Croc-boy (or whatever she called him) was still a rookie. He has a past yet to be revealed, and that probably means he has a sad/violent past, and might of even been a good guy before.

 

Remember, Arlong had his race tortured, and Doflamingo had his family put to death through torture. Of course, Doflamingo was also a spoiled brat, so he was evil ever since he was born a Celestial Dragon. Everything that happened after his father decided to live with the common people just added on to his evil desires.

Unless it's Crocodile. I want to see him redeemed. And honestly, if Arlong is still alive and kicking, he'll be redeemed by default, seeing as how the fishmen will live with the humans one day. That's the one thing keeping Arlong a villain. His hate for humans. With Jinbe making the Sun Pirates again, don't be surprised to see Arlong join Jinbe one day.

That sound like suggesting every villains to be redeemed since many of them are alive. That's...suicidal in fans' love, or at least with me. It doesn't help that he killed someone, so no, I don't want finger poke of kitten.

Crocodile protected Luffy from Mihawk and Akainu at Marineford. And Arlong just needs to learn to respect humans. If every human can change to understand and accept fishmen so they can live on the surface, then why can't Arlong do the same toward humans?

Because he has done legit bad deeds. There's a limit to redemption. I mean Crocodile, ok, perhaps he's fine in that respect. Arlong, while you said it's true, I don't think the redemption is made for him since Hachi technically got that. Arlong was harsh rather than sympathic when invading Nami and her family. He tormented that island and killed her mother. Do you really want Nami to pull MGS2 high five with Arlong? What she said is great enough for me about her not forgiving him ever.

Crocodile enslaved an entire country, not just an island. He's much worse. Not to mention it was a greed issue with him, not a "slave with vengeance" issue. If Crocodile can have a change of heart and protect Luffy, then why can't Arlong after humans see him as equal and stop torturing and selling his kind?

I can see Tashigi as a temporary companion on Wano. She definitely has a stronger connection with the straw hats than Bonney with Zoro, Sanji, and Nami.

In story wise, Arlong did worse by killing and left it permanent. That's Disney law of "no redemption. Your ass is grass." Ok, I can see what you mean and that can happen, fine. But water under the bridge with everything? No.

Jinbe isn't making the sun pirates, he's breaking his contract with big mom. He told Luffy he'd join the crew, not the fleet. He said that he'd love to "go on adventures with you all, but I have some business to handle first" (referring to big mom). There was a cover page showed Jinbe standing next to a kid with the number 10 on his shirt, plus Jinbe is confirmed to be in the New World. Not to mention the fact that Jinbe is technically already a part of the crew, so it can still hold true that the next person to join is a former villain, because Jinbe has already joined.
