Solid 10/10
synopsis
The campaign felt almost flawless to me. The emotional scenes was a reminder of just how painful war can be. I also saw a big improvement over some of the game mechanics especially weapons. The multiplayer is pretty good too. definitely game of the year worthy.

This game is different. I've never been a fan of puzzle games, but I find myself re-challenging the various stages over and over again. I even like the in-game game, which is essentially the same type of puzzle-climbie thing. The story is bizarre... Definitely something you'd see in a tales from the crypt episode. Music is done well and the animation is done well, and controls are not frustrating, which in a game were every move you make can kill you is quite refreshing. This game gives you morale choices and you strive to choose between to love interests... but it doesn't really give you options for dialogue, which the regardless of which way you lean on the game's morale meter doesn't change much so I found myself frustrated with the main character. Give it a shot, the block puzzles are fun.

Its something of a cross between RPG and tactic gameplay, the map movement itself is typical of an RPG and dungeon crawler where you basically run around, taking monsters by surprise from behind if you want advantage in battle or avoiding them slowly if you don't feel like wasting time against low level monsters.
The battle system itself is more along the line of early Front Mission games where your action determine how long your character's next turn will be or when he/she will cast the spell, and how you can position your characters to get the maximum efficiency in battle.
The Orbment system however is the main thing that truly draws me in, the classical gamers among you will prob be reminded of the materia system in FF7 where each of them gives you specific ability/spell or even status advantage. How you combine the orbs (what the items are called in the game) can literally decide the life or death of your character in battle, balance between healing characters and front line characters are absolute must unless you're cheating.
Story-line wise, I like how the game has the perfect balance between suspense and light-hearted humor with romance thrown in along the line. The characters are interesting and fun to see how they interact with each other and plot twist that can makes you question wth is going to happen next.
The game itself is actually separated in 3 parts (FC stands for First Chapter) but only the first of the 3 has english version. When second comes out, I'm grabbing it, no question asked.

Finally got around playing this. I originally had it for 360, but my first 360 went up and my second one was stolen. After that I just didn't want to get another 360 system, that plus buy a whole system to buy a handful of games isn't cool for me. But anyway I bought this for the PC because I noticed all the hype around the upcoming third game and I finally decided to check out the series to see what's up.
I'm glad that I did. Even though this game is about four years old, it's still better than some of the games I've played this year. But that's to be expected, BioWare always seems to do great games. And they haven't disappointed me yet. (Crosses fingers about The Old Republic) Anyway, the story has a rich space opera feel to it. I mean I told my friend who's played the series also, that with the amount of content and detail they put into the story, I could easily see this as an award-winning movie series. Which I heard has been in the works for some time.
But yeah, I really was impressed with the scope of the game. How vast things were. And what more impressed me. All my friends can tell you. I'm not the biggest FPS or in this case 3rd person shooter. But the game made it easy for a person like me to cope and stay interested. A lot of customizing you can do with your characters. By the end of the game I really felt like I had an elite ragtag group I was commanding. So that's always fun.
Anyway, great game. Holds up pretty well over the passage of time. Then again it's only a four year old game. Not like 10. But that's neither here nor there.
Now I'm on to playing Mass Effect 2.

Although not as exploitative as the first one. The updated graphics, new play style, and larger cast. Made up for it in my book. This was one of the few games that managed to make a large amount of the cast very like able. I found that developing good characters has been a strong suit for BioWare games. This game made me completely look forward to the third mass effects coming out in March.

It was brilliant! The storyline, the concept, everything!
The only thing that bugged me were the graphics and the fact that it doesn't have a sequel...
If they improved the graphics and had a sequel with even more pokemon, then it would be SO EPIC!!! There's no way they could screw it up

Um... no? I did play it and I did think a good majority of those things, but I was pretty much putting it in a humorous light... Like I always do :3
P.S. I don't own a console ¬_¬

I'd like to expand on what he meant by amount of content. When I finished the main game, with a few Riddler trophies found and got some medals from the Challenge Mode, it was 57% complete. I have almost all of the sidequests done except for 2, and it's around 65% complete right now. I do have the Robin bundle, and the Nightwing DLC hasn't come out yet, so there's a bit more content besides the main game, main game is Catwoman included.

I know this is usually reserved for completed games, but I've been obsessed with this demo ever since I downloaded it two days ago. To be honest yes it's a Sonic the Hedgehog game. Which means fast running, fast action, and a blue hero.
What I like is the fact you have a choice of what type of game play you have. You can do the traditional 2D side-scrolling Sonic or you can do the more 3Dish style of the newer games. Either way, it feels like they completely redid the first game, added more things from the later editions of Sonic the Hedgehog. Not to mention they redid the original soundtrack from the first game too. You can't imagine how many nostalgic heartstrings were pulled for me, when I first heard the updated soundtrack for the Green Hills Zone.

The demo's great! Classic Sonic still doesn't feel right, but it's a lot better than Sonic 4. Modern Sonic is AMAZING.

5/5 of course. The story's great, the ending will totally shock you, even if you guess what would happen (maybe it won't shock). The gameplay is brilliant, as always. With 3 characters (4 now that I got the Nightwing DLC) to master in challenge mode, the replay value is great. I've tried out New Game+ and really, it's kicking my ass with the lack of counter indicators, but it's great, makes me master the game even more.
I do have some problems with bugs and glitches though, such as enemies shooting up in the sky if you corner them into a wall, but, for the most part they're negligible....Unless it happens during a mission and you can't take out the last enemy to proceed since they fell through the floor.
My favorite character to use is Robin, his gadgets and moves are simply better for racking up combos than Batman's or Catwoman's...keeps you flowing a bit more. Though Batman is still the best to use for Predator Modes, in my opinion.
I'm also at 71% completion for the entire game, ain't that great, guys?!
