It's not a hate as much as a pet peeve of mine, but I'm starting to grow tired of how people use japanese and the common terms in Naruto. I think that if you want to write a fanfic of any kind, the least people can ask of you is to get the names right. And I see authors describing peoples' attire in a lazy way.. let me give you an example:

Sakura had changed her apperance to match her cloths to that of what she wore in shippendo and she looked hot and also ready for a fight.

I presume this author wanted to tell us that she (this is part one) wore what she's wearing in Shippuuden (shippendo?).

Another thing is how people seem to think that its ok to leave out capital letters in their fics if they put more effort into the plot. If your plot sucks, that's even worse! I would have thought most people would be used to hitting the shift button to add these beautiful letters in their grownup forms. I thought that was pretty basic teaching, but I don't know what the schools teach their children in other countries anyway.

What I'm trying to say is that I wish people wouldn't use japanese if they can't spell the words, and show some effort by researching the names they find hard to spell and to at least use capital letters and a comma once in a while.

Unless you're trying to send a message, or tackle an issue on prejudice and hate, or portray your character as an ignorant blockhead (and in this case, less is more), then I don't want to see racial slurs, slurs against homosexuality, or any other slurs splattered all over people's fics.

And to somehow claim that it's not "technically" hateful is beyond me.

I stop short of going on some self-righteous mission to eliminate the immature expressions of privilege and a rigid heteronormative mindset, because it's pretty rare. But damned if I'm not going to call it out when I see it. I'd rather the narusaku filter be filled with hundreds of chatspeak fics, than well-written bigotry.

The lack of good harem stories.

Seriously whats up with all these authors who completely ignore character traits and make them OOC to the max? I feel as if I am not even reading about the same character at all! (Well to some extent since it is fiction XD)

Also how some of the females are quickly adept to join the harem without a viable reason whatsoever! Where is the struggle? Where is the passion? It just takes away from the story entirely! And the harshness that they ensue on certain female characters who aren't as reluctant to join in at first (i.e. Sakura and Ino who I have a bias for) is really bad. It takes bashing to a whole new level that I question if they want the characters in the harem or just enjoy the hidden bashing.

Another thing is how they turn every single girl bisexual. I mean I have no problem with that, but it just annoys me how that's almost no different then yaoi writers who do the same with male characters. I mean I don't want a yuri scene every other chapter! Give me some plot damn it!

Oh and standard grammar and story writing rules apply as well. This was just the specifics that I see a lot of the times in almost every single fic.

Well not many Harem fics can have a generally decent plot without seeming too fairy taleish.
Now if you mean "harem" as in say Naruto dates one girl, then after dumping her, dates another and so forth. then one can easily make a decent plot around that. lol

Though a good comedy harem fic is always need for some good old sexual humour lol

The one thing that ticks me off the most in Fanfic's would probably be Nameless Stories.

I see so many of the 'Srry guys no title yet' stories that it gets soooo annoying! It's like, DON'T POST A STORY UNLESS THERE'S A TITLE.

Also, when an author just publishes for the sake of getting reviews. I know reviews are nice and all, but don't clog up the site just because you want your email inbox full.

Now im not some highly conservitve guy. but there are some series which I cant quite imagine that char will swear with such words.

For example, I can't read a naruto fanfic where some char will say "oh my god"

The guy does not constantly refer to himself in the first-person. He only did it once and hasn't done it since. I don't know why people seem to think that Tobi is nothing but a simpleton. He's silly yes, he's a punk yes, but he's not a person with the capacity of a 2 year-old.

Too much swearing bothers me such as 'kitten' (im staring) and 'sh**' i dont mind damn it or hell. I also hate, as a NaruSaku fan, the NaruHina stories. They make it sound like Naruto's frikin in love with Hinata!! Yes, i know ppl have the right to do/write/say wat they want but still I can not stand it! I'm sorry I just can't STAND naruhina fanfics!!!!

I agree with the title thing and swearing too much. Sometimes it's adequate, sometimes it's not. Quality harem fics are decreasing. DDDDX

Unique....nah. I've never seen it that bad, but stuff like this happens all the time. I don't have a ton of patience for it if the character doesn't actually talk like that in the manga.

Wth? Well, I can bear it if its a crackfic or something but nooo, the author have to try and make a serious action out of it. theres a limit to nonsense but this takes the cake....

I've seen plenty of those. Don't forget they're often listen to the authors favorite songs. Yeah, those are awful.
