Why would is it be prejudiced to note a certain pattern in the way the movie is casted? As I said, yes, it's more important for us to be able to buy these actors as the characters they play and how good a job they do, but the movie is clearly white-washed in favor of the protagonists so much that the one good fire-bender is white too!
If it doesn't bother you, that's fine. But no one here who's on the same page as me is saying "Screw this movie, I'm boycotting it, and whoever doesn't agree with me is racist!" We ALL hope this movie will be good, we ALL want to enjoy it; we just notice one flaw the movie already has when we shouldn't until we actually see it, and sadly one we've various times in several movies.
Can you show us these sites? I'd like to hear what they have to say!
Would you kindly *not* put words into my mouth, thank you. I don't recall saying at
any point and I quote, "Screw this movie, I'm boycotting it, and whoever doesn't agree with me is racist!"
Also don't remember me saying anyone was
racist.
And I'm really
not interested into getting into a pointless debate about this. Enough people have already done so. But to at least answer your question of: Why would is it be prejudiced to note a certain pattern in the way the movie is casted?
I never said it was prejudice to 'note' anything. What I said was that it seemed kind of prejudice to not want to see a movie because the race of people you want to see in the movie weren't picked. To me it's a bit of a double standard. Agree with me or not, it really doesn't matter to me. Everyone has their own opinions and will stick to them, and I'm certainly not here to try to change anyone else's mind, as everyone pretty much has their minds made up on how they feel.
