It was Murata who ask ONE to redraw OPM not otherwise.
Yeah, and? I never said ONE asked to redraw it. I am saying Murata picked it up because he wanted to keep the series going and get support. Same with Madhouse who wanted to animate One Punch Man the same because they loved it.
The story is that Murata loved reading One Punch Man online. He enjoyed ONE's webseries and long story short he was a fan of it . When ONE had to focus on getting a job over his own webcomic to support himself, things got rocky. When ONE came back he told people that he might have to make a choice between his love of manga creating and real life job to which Murata didn't want to see happen. He wanted ONE to continue his career as a manga artist so he asked ONE if he could help him and redraw the series he loved so much. He wanted One Punch Man to continue.
Later down the road Madhouse wanted to pick it up and we now have what we have today.
Basically, it is like you have a favorite actor and that actor reads your script and says "I want to do it. I want to make this movie happen." Now instead of the cliche story of "make changes to make it so called "better," all the actor does is refine it rather than change things completely. Which is what Murata did and continue to say. "I am merely refining the style and ironing out the edges. The story belongs to ONE."
To assume I meant otherwise is ludicrous.
This is what I love about One Punch man so much. It is not a story about how to make a get rich quick scheme, it was about people loving what they do and being passionate about what they love and made something amazing.
If Naruto is the essence of how not to write a story, One Punch man is the essence of how to write a story. Naruto is an example of the worst way you can make a franchise while One Punch Man is the right way to do it. I just hope the fanbse doesn't ruin OPM either.
