Uh I don't know if anyone else feels this way and It's not that I am complaining, but doesn't it feel the plot is being jerked around a lot? Just saying, it seems so to me

Chapter 357

Uff, Togashi, while I don't mind speechbubbled- filled chapters, there's a difference b/w useful information and verbose, needlessly eloquent talking. I mean, what the hell is this, Kurapika?: "Knowledge increases your probability of survival by a substantial amount." Yeah, no kitten Sherlock. And why can't you just say:" The more you know, the greater the chances are for you to survive." This chapter wasn't hard in reading. Just really tiring with all the monotone thought process.

Anyways, the setup is getting me excited. While we don't know exactly what the 4th and 5th floor are, we can assume, it's the place for the workers (cooks, cleaning staff, maids, etc.) and poor people. The Zodiacs might also be down there (what a way to treat them, lol). The Phantom Troupe is most likely in the 1st and 2nd floor because they need to get their $ Since the lower floors are lacking in medical staff, I see the time for Leorio to shine and undergo immense character development considering the disaster that will befall the Black Whale ship soon.

Once again though, I cannot believe that 200,000 are going to be on board. The casualties are going to be enormous, and we all know which floor(s) will suffer the most by default.

Also:

Togashi, I know you're not the best at drawing, but that doesn't mean that you can slack in some basic drawing skills such as the vanishing point perspective. I refuse to believe that Beyond looks like a 6m/20ft tall dude, while the little kids are looking like dwarf.

Glad I'm not the only one who found this chapter needlessly wordy and flowery at some parts. I'm willing to bet the translation is at least partly -- if not mainly -- at fault for the more redundant sounding passages. I would like to see the official translation when it's out to see whether it's more concise in the wording.

Uh As in It went from progressing the dark continent voyage to Hisoka and Chrollo's fight, then cuts off as Hisoka starts killing the Phantom Troupe to the Dark continent again. Not saying it's bad though

Oh, I see. Yeah, I also think that was abrupt... I think the fight b/w Hisoka and Chrollo could have been shorter. I mean, I know that the Hisoka vs Chrollo fight was destined to happen, but the timing was rather off. It could have just easily happen on the Black Whale ship. And after Hisoka looses, he can still take revenge on the other spider members who are already on the boat.

Ch. 359

I enjoyed this chapter quite a lot. Was literally breezing through (no blocks of texts, woohoo!).

The ship has just set off, and we already get the first murderers and conspiracies. And the cause of death: Sucking out the blood like leeches... While it is to early to suspect who the murderer is, we can assume it is one of the Nen Beasts since it'd be too early for any of the bodyguards or troops to make a move on the others.

The one sister being a kitten towards the other... Poor Senritsu, lol. It makes me wonder which of the siblings is actually taking this Battle Royale battle b/w the siblings seriously.

And yay, our boy Leorio busy as ever! There's a courtroom on the 4th floor... I find it a bizarre place to have on the ship, but I guess, they'll need it with all the chaos going on.

 

 

But yeah, overall great chapter. Togashi, pls do not go on a break until they get of the damn boat, lol.
