I believe Beast Boy and Raven were heavily hinted at Pre- New 52 yes? i also find it pretty hilarous there is heavy teasing about their relationship in "Teen Titans Go!" but not in the original "Teen Titans" animation

They are honestly one of the most superbly sweet couples I've ever seen, how could I NOT post them?  The sheer cuteness and innocence of their romance is one of my prime points of happiness in regards to anime and fictional relationship writing in general

Yup! after the end of the Manga I believe. so junior high might be middle school so she'd be about 13-14 maybe.

I ship Captian/Sawn because it actually makes sense and not one sided love like Neal x Sawn or Queen/Sawn. I'm at the point of wanting to slap Belle and Rumple in the show, but I do ship her with Will because it makes sense to me

And, I had an oddly satisfying laugh, when Rumple's kiss didn't wake her up. I did roll my eyes at the fact they made Mulan and Red into lesbians, as it is somewhat enforces a stereotype that turns strong females that are independent and can take care of themselves into lesbians, which tends to happen a lot in movies and tv shows.

OK, these are my biggest issues with CS

They have tendencies to be possessive of eachother. Both don't want to let the other go even if the other begs them to. This is selfish and I can handle one incident, but this has happened several times, for example in the Dark Swan arc, or some of the things Hook said in the Pan arc. Eventually, they choose to be selfless, like in the last episode. But that doesn't change the fact that there is a harmful message here, or that the way there is hurtful for both of them.

 

- Hook saying "You push people away, and that's why you'll always be an orphan", "Are you getting me drunk? That's what I use to do", "I want to hurt you like you hurt me", "Normally, I prefer to do other more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back. With my life on the line, you’ve left me no choice. A bit of advice? When I jab you with my sword, you’ll feel it. You might want to quit". I think that under no circumstances these things are OK to say. Many lines are unneccessarily cruel, violent, and threatening. I find it disturbing.

 

- The Dark ones arc. Hook attempts suicide just so he can talk to Emma, and that's nothing compared to the next. They(CS) were both so horrible to eachother and everyone looks away because  in the end he chose good instead of killing everyone she loves. We've seen several dark ones, so to me there's no excuse. You could say it was Emma's fault too since she forced him, but that just makes it worse because she's the other half of the ship. Rumple was also a dark one, yet tried to be a good dad to Baelfire and now a good husband to Belle. Hook was much more evil than Rumple ever was, and he gets every excuse because what? Handsome badboy? idk.

 

- Hook has no control of his darkness. Most times he doesnt want to. But he does because of Emma rests his redemption mostly on her. When he loses his hand he feels like he has an excuse to be bad again just like Rumple says. He's become better with time as now he's sacrificing himself for the whole team, I'll admit that!

 

- I have a lot more things to say, but in conclusion I find that his flaws are glorified by both writers and fandom. In the beginning I was blaming the writers because they seemed to think they were writing him well, even though they were wrong. Yea. I'm not a big anti-CS and I don't really care about them(just Emma's happiness), but there are plenty of valid reasons to be against and much fewer to be for.

 

I think Rumple/Rumbelle is not without flaws. He lies to her. She occasionally uses dagger against him. The true love's kiss didn't work, but I thought that was already established it was because Rumple was a dark one? That's why Belle wanted her father to wake her up.

 

Anyhow I ship them because they are two equals. One does not hold power over the other. They are selfless and just want the best for eachother at all times, CS just goes back and forth with that. RB expect things from eachother. He expects her to accept the man and the beast, she expects him to not use darkness to defend themselves. It's an interesting dynamic. They don't bend for eachother or manipulate/get manipulated. They both make the decisions and that is why I ship them less because of my emotions and more because I like the way their relationship is built up/written.

 

idk what I want to say about that last thing because it is really homophobic(and biphobic I guess because Red is bisexual remember she had a boyfriend..). But I didn't understand. Do you not want strong women to be gay? Most strong independent women on TV are straight, most women on TV are independent and strong, and all OUAT women are strong too. What do gay people have left then? What kind of women do you want to be gay? For me, the answer is all kinds of women because only then you ruin the stereotype.

No, I just think original gay characters should be used not established characters like Dorthy or Red Riding hood. I'm not in the least homophobic thanks for using that card with me. I adore original gay characters but Mulan was in fact, already a established straight character in Disney films and the plays about her.

Red Riding hood was a child fairy tell and not really a fable about sexuality, so I rather they stick with at least some aspects of the story.

And really using the homophobic card with me is not going anywhere with your argument. I'm someone who fights for gay rights but thanks for calling me a homophobe because I don't like the fact they didn't respect the source material they are getting their characters from.


I just got an oddly satisfying laugh out of the whole thing with Rumple and Belle all because he richly deserves it to me.
