Just let it go men people will condemn you despite giving reasonable arguments of why this playing with the parings sucks and doing this just hurts NS image in the process of becoming canon (not that NS is done ain't happening bc of a cover  ) but oh well it seems that the cover represents the past chapters of Sasuke and Sakura "working together" so going by that interpretation should I take Kishimoto making her blush in here as that SS was romantic in 685 even though it was skipped ? Now you tell me if he isn't just playing sign .

 

I agree with you. There isn't any reason for the trolling/ship teasing this late in the story. I thought NaruSaku was also the most popular pairing in Japan? Why do fanservice/teasing to a small part of your fanbase and ignore the majority? Why make NaruSaku so subtle, and waste space that could have been NaruSaku related with just trolling/baiting? A more obvious/meaty NaruSaku moment is really needed now to counter all the baiting.

a) Sakura doesn't trust Sasuke,

Means nothing if it's an important factor is ridiculous to bring this up, the whole Sakura not trusting Sasuke is just pointless drama.
First to cast doubt he grabbed her on the previous chapter and also the fact he's going to be converted by Naruto.
If her whole "feelings" for Sasuek are holding based on trust is a ridiculous move.

b) Sakura's feeings are different, and

The problem is that this part is not clear, i would like to believe it's different but somewhate ambiguous based on Kakashi's view, Sakura's love for Sakura stopped being selfish, but might be different in terms of she still pursue Sasuke or not.
I dont know if Kakashi is refering solely on the selfish part or is talking about her love as whole then your assessment would be right.
But the point is not that, her whole supposed moving on from Sasuke is not done in a clear way.
The last part of the summit ended with she still loving Sasuke and knowing she wasnt been able to do it because of love which is clear stated on her flashbacks and the emphasizement of her confession and Sasuke's words "thank you"
The rest is confuse and not clear, we have a chapter where she's sad when asked if the guy she "loves" is a great guy, we have Sasuke coming back and her not fangirling which is correct but she doesnt either display romantic tones towards Naruto neither Sasuke all this to build drama.

c) Sasuke would let Sakura drop into a pit of lava if he had the chance.

It's two arcs, the first Arc is Sao and the second the ALfheim Online.(Super Mario + Perfect World)

I'm pointing out is that she starts off being strong as Kirito being able to stand on her own, and she does thought until chapter 9 of the anime, she then starts being a support and Kirito starts to shine, it makes worse when they receive that walking DEUS EX machina(Yuuki), who serves as a cheater console and giving secret advices about the game.
So the hero of the story, is not a pro, but a Gary Stu who cheats his way on various MMO's, and Asuna a pro player who becomes a support and waifu.
Any fan of MMO hates cheaters how can the main be likeable it's looks like an insult to me and he even solo bosses WTF.
If SAO was World of Warcraft he would been pretty raped on Naxxaramas.

lol. Why do you have a problem with the main character being the hero of the story? You're pretty much wrong here, but whatever. Yuuki only shows up for a little while in SAO and then disappears for a good portion of it. In ALO, yeah she is there, but she isn't a cheating device and she doesn't have admin commands. Asuna pretty much held her own all throughout SAO and only was put down during the final fight. ALO she was the princess in the tower kind of thing, but it was only one small arc and she actually tried to escape a few times.

You also only read maybe a partial of the series you know. There is so many more arcs that show so much more. Of course, these complaints I could apply to every anime/manga and such: Asuka and Shinji, Vash and Meryll, Kaoru and Kenshin. Actually that last line fits more with your compaints than SAO does. Kaoru who is supposed to be the master of her father's dojo is reduced to nothing more than damsel in distress and doesn't help Kenshin at all....but is supposed to be this great warrior.

lol I don't know how this compares to Sakura as these are two different story styles and all. Asuna becomes badass again. You never read the light novels have you?

Does "author's intent" ring a bell? Why would Kishimoto bother to have Kakashi give a commentary right then and there?

 

The author doesn't have to spell out every detail. That's just bad storytelling. Minato "confirming" that Sakura was like Kushina is almost patronizing to the reader.

 

The love-letter ninja scene is what we call dramatic irony. The idea is to point out that Sasuke is anything BUT the "great guy" and Sakura realizes this, which makes her sad.

 

Sakura's not going to go doki doki in the middle of a war.

Kishimoto is not going to write a story where Sakura chooses Naruto because her first choice is evil. Naruto is not a consolation prize.

I think they meant that he's only putting these things in for drama sake. For example, when writers use the misunderstanding trope-Where one person overhears something out of context and a fight happens. Things are resolved in the end, so the fighting over misunderstandings had no purpose other than to add conflict to a story.

Sorry to say it but... you cannot actually say covers mean nothing. Look at the last cover ... A short respite from an arduous journey which was the cover before they got to Kaguya's world. The design of the cover was a short description of what was about to come: Team 7 going to Kaguya's dimensions, Sakura holding onto Naruto pointing towards the castle which in manga was traduced as Sakura working together with Naruto to get Sasuke back, Sasuke was far-away looking at his bow like he was out of the picture which in the manga was traduced as Sasuke being thrown off in the separate dimension and Kakashi in the back just standing there doing nothing which represented in the manga as he currently was: uncapable of helping in any way.
So covers DO tell something and I'm sorry to say it but the truth here is that Kishi is screwing-up his own writing. And all for what? For ship tease and all that kitten?
Why couldn't have he made Sakura stay on a separate horse like the others? I am not bothered by his drawing per se, I am bothered by its representation and the way he is contradicting his own manga and ruining some development and its image.
How the hell can you tell me that, as a new reader, you're supposed to pick-up that Sakura has no feelings for Sasuke when he draws her blushing? Come on, let's not try to find the man excuses anymore. In the end, in this whole pathetic war between fans, he does have its guilt. Things could've been made differently and we all know it.
And I would say more but... I think I'm gonna stop here because idk if people will really understand that this trespasses the innocent play with pairings, it's about consistency at this point. It all kittening went downhill after Pein Arc. But meh, I digress...

If Sasuke suddenly developed romantic feelings for Sakura after treating her like kitten and trying to kill her and let her die  then I seriously have to question Kishimoto sanity and moral values and ask his brother to please gave him his medication . Doing that now only destroys the romance in Naruto by making Sasuke suddenly a sociopath bc in that case Kishi will portray a very sick love and take it into an acount that this is a story still for children so I really don't know the message that he will sent to those kids is morally good for them or anyone for that matter . So in short it ain't happening he might be a troll but not insane .

Well at least someone understands cover or not this gives SS credibility to a very kitten paring its disgusting to consider their development as a paring one but by doing this he  lowers NS's credibility not to mention Sakura for the way he portrayed her in here trust me you don't want to go to the other sites especially those who are anti Sakura . But yeah I agree with you as well no more games and subtle hints now is the time for the real deal and moments if he seriously wants to handle NS canon as well done and not at the last minute we care about the journey the most not whether is just canon or not .

I am generally amused that people honestly think sasusaku is now going to be canon thanks to a cover image, enough to flood the chapter discussion about it over and over again.

 

Perhaps it would be better suited for the debate threat. Sorry, but calling Kishimoto names really rubbed me the wrong way.
