Anyways, if you dislike Sakura, why are you here in this thread? It is super annoying coming to Sakura's APPRECIATION thread and read people talking negatively about her. Can't you read the title? You're not going to see Sasuke haters talk badly about him in Sasuke's appreciation thread.

Sorry if it's my mistake but I could swear I saw you disliking her for breaking Sasori or talk about what a boring and pairing fodder (going far as to say Akamaru is more interesting) character she is. Well, if you say so......moving on.

Sakura's goal has nothing to do with romance. It has everything to do with protecting and supporting her teammates. Her teammates just so happened to be her love interests. She's not really in love with Sasuke anymore, but protecting him is part of her goal next to seeing Naruto become Hokage (which is the same goal as Shikamaru). Romance isn't playing the factor here. The reason why we see everything in a romance focused light is because we are shippers, and thus, every boy/girl interaction we see looks like it's connected to romance. It only shows how romance-oriented WE are. The only time she was connected to romance was when she received a love letter and Minato's comment in this whole war arc. But both of those scenes were initiated by the guy and not herself. So, there you go.

There are many reasons to dislike Sasuke that have nothing to do with NS.  He is a hateful, cold, selfish, arrogant, condescending punk who thinks the world revolves around him and his motivation du jour.  He considers himself a focused, avenging angel when in reality he changes his mind more often than his underwear.

 

Why either Naruto or Sakura would spend more than ten minutes worrying about Sasuke and his "feelings" is the enduring mystery of the manga.

 

Oh, and FYI...  It's Sakura who has been in the way of NS, not Sasuke.  Sasuke couldn't care less.

There are many reasons to hate Sasuke. It doesn't have to be reduced to shipping reasons. Sasuke is actually one of my favorite characters, but even I get annoyed by Sasuke and agree with what the haters of him say. He has a terrible personality and with everything he's done he really doesn't have a right to Sakura and Naruto's devotion. Even I can see that.

 

The only reasons I like Sasuke is out of sympathy, Naruto wanting to save him so much, and Team 7 in general. But I rarely defend him in this forum because there's just not a lot about him you can defend.

I was just watching the filler dub 235 and I saw those Kunoichi how they dress  I said somehow it seems like the new outfit for missions of Sakura.

This is just so wrong. Sakura's character does not revolve around romance. Her life stopped revolving around romance the day she cut her hair in the Forest of Death.  From that day on, she has always thought and acted as a Shinobi first.

 

Hinata is someone whose life revolves around romance because the only person she thinks of is Naruto and every significant thing she does is in someway related to Naruto. Hinata is an example of a one-dimensional character whose life revolves around romance.

 

But Sakura is not one dimensional. She doesn't always think of Naruto/Sasuke and not all her actions can be traced to Naruto/Sasuke. And there's nothing wrong if Team Seven is an important part of her life. You could make similar statements about Naruto and Sasuke as well. Naruto's life seemed to revolve around rescuing and bringing back Sasuke. Sasuke's life seemed to revolve around getting revenge. Every character's life in this manga revolves around something. 

Surpassing her master is no longer a goal to Sakura because she has already done so . Hashirama himself stated this.

Hinata is a one dimensional boring satelitte side character, she's an extreme, comparing her to Sakura to make your point doesn't make your argument any better. I know that Hinata is one dimensional thanks.

I disagree 90% of her actions can be traced to romance or team 7 related matters, as for the 10% remaining I will let you give some examples because I personally can't remember.

Yeah Sasuke and Naruto are awful characters, they are much worse than Sakura  because they had far more developments andmore panels were wasted onto their personal story.

It was never a goal to begin with, that's the point.

The FOD scene was where Sakura realized that she shouldn't rely on others to save her and that she has to take responsibility and save others. Before this point Sakura's character did indeed revolve around her love for Sasuke. But this was where she started acting like a Shinobi. She was prepared to die protecting Naruto, Sasuke and ROCK-LEE. Her actions here had NOTHING to do with romance. It was all about protecting her friends.

 

Then followed the Chuunin exams. At that time she loved Sasuke. If we go by what you say- that her life revolved around romance, then what followed in the written test should not have happened. Did she even consider Sasuke, her love interest, when she decided to quit the exam? NO. It was all about Naruto, her friend's dream. No person, whose life revolves around romance , would be capable of this.

 

Then her fight with Ino. Not once in the entire fight did Sakura think of either Naruto or Sasuke. It was all about Sakura fighting to prove herself as the better Kunoichi, to prove that she had finally come out of Ino's shadow and to prove that she had finally blossomed as a person. And she managed to do so.

 

What exactly is wrong if Sakura showed care and concern for her team-mates when they were in the hospital? Sasuke started behaving recklessly and this worried and scared her. She then saw her two team-mates nearly kill each other. Later the person she liked knocked her out and left her. All these events upset her and she got emotional over it. Why is she not allowed to do so? Is she not human? Does doing so mean her life revolved around romance?

Did she continue to be depressed over it? NO. She resolved that she would be stronger and of more use to her team mates. She did not sit around doing nothing! While Naruto was training with Jiraiya, she trained with Tsunade perfecting her chakra control and learning medical ninjutsu. She wanted to become a better Shinobi.

There are so many examples I could give. There was that time when she found out the antidote and cured Kankuro. Then there was her fight with Sasori where she fought to protect Chiyo. These had nothing to do with either Naruto or Sasuke. In fact, Chiyo actually asked Sakura to not throw away her life for an old woman but instead to protect her friends. There are so many more but I can't write them all.

I'll just re-post what I wrote in the chapter thread-  her feats  in the War-arc. 

 

Who was the one who caught the enemy spy and find out the enemy strategies for the war?

Who was it that gave a speech inspiring the Alliance to fight more for Naruto's sake?

Who was it that healed so many of the injured Alliance members and helped to keep the Alliance's hopes alive?

Who was it that immobilized an army of white zetsu clones with one single strike?

Who was it that managed to destroy hundreds of mini juubis with one strike?

Who was the one praised by Hashirama when he said she had surpassed Tsunade's strength?

Who was the one who helped save Shikamaru and later Obito?

WHO WAS THE ONE THAT SAVED NARUTO'S LIFE AND KEPT HIS DREAMS ALIVE?

Who was the one who played a vital role in saving Sasuke and re-uniting Naruto and Sasuke so that they can seal Kaguya?

Who was the one who managed to give a blow to God-tier Kaguya and break Kaguya's horn while at it?

 

You can decide for yourself how many of these were influenced by Naruto and Sasuke or Team Seven.

Most of these actions were for the Alliance and for the well being of Konoha.

So what? Why does it have to be stated by her that its her aim? Did Naruto ever say he had an aim of surpassing Jiraiya? What matters are not words but actions. She did manage to surpass Tsunade, that's the point.

Of course not. It's normal especially when your love for some character muddles your love for the other. Which is the case of liking Sasuke and Sakura at the same time.
