Great Finale but am I the only one who wanted to see Asami kick Mako in the groin? Poor girl. I wouldn't have had such a problem with his sudden change of heart had it taken a longer course over the last bit of the Season and maybe half or so of Season 2 but over the last few Episodes it was just "I love Asami....wait no I suddenly love Korra even though I turned her down multiple times.". I'm sorry but RELATIONSHIPS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY.

5) why didnt korra question asami and mako's relationship before diving in?

1) Tarlock was the one who did it. I guess he was fedup with what his brother was doing and decided to end things once and for all before Amon could cause trouble again.

2) I guess that one will be left in the open, in theory only the avatar should energy bend.

3) Everyone saw he was an bender, he lost all the equalist support with that, and they probaly would hunt him down if he stayed.

4) They didn't, it's just Mako good ol' two-timing.

5) Because that would would nulify any chance of an cheesy romantic scene.

6) My take is that he started to grow disgusted with his own power, so he figured that the world would be better off without bending.

7) The equalists have spies, maybe they found them? Either that or plot convenience.

8) Lol, I suppose she had to. I personally found that scene too convenient. I would rather have an entire season of her trying to conect to her spiritual side to get her bending back rather then having such an easy set up.

9) My theory is that since she couldn't airbend, Amon couldn't take an power she didn't have (unlocked that is).

10) Because he is the goddamn avatar XD

Amon should be more injured by Mako's lightning. In ATLA, it was a mortal injury, and only a firebender could redirect it. Why the kitten was he like 'kitten this lightning kitten' the very next sec

And as for Mako's supposed "two-timing" (something that people are STILL accusing him of and it really irks me)

It seemed pretty clear to me that Asami and Mako did break up, Just saying --Click here to view--

I felt they broke up just before the team split up. Their exchange, Mako saying sorry for all the trouble and hurt he's caused, and Asami’s kiss on the cheek, was enough for them.
They didn’t have to yell, fight, or literally scream “I’m breaking up with you!”, because they already established an understanding. It was mutual.

Part of me was scared that this was going to end on some corny cliff hanger. I was beyond pleased to get some closure. I know that a good amount of ppl still have questions about events and characters but I'm not honestly going to over think things to the point where I cant enjoy the finale.
The whole story with Amon and Tarrlok was just epic, I would have never thought they were brothers, let alone find out that they were made into the men that almost destroyed Republic City by their own father. I was happy that Korra finally went Avatar state and that she was able to see her past lives. Plus Lin getting her bending back brought a tear to my eye. Sure there were somethings unanswered but I was very happy with the end

Way more closure than I expected their to be. Very glad to see Lin was fine and got her bending returned to her, all is right with the world homies.

Relationships are usually never that simple. They don't work just one way or the other, they can be as random and spontaneous as anything else. It's not nice that he fell for someone else while he was already dating somebody, but it was not like they were married. It is what it is, you don't have to like it, but it doesn't mean Mako is such a bad guy. He made peace with Asami, and did his part to save Republic City. That's the important part. He wasn't two timing anyone today, and I don't see why we should make a big deal about it.

I'm glad it's not a season cliffhanger. Amon and Tarrlok's story was a nice touch. I did feel like Amon had quickly become human and weak in ten minutes though, but that's the problem with creating villains behind masks. The mask rather than the person becomes a villain most of the time. Tough balance!

I think it's true that LoK is more pairing oriented than ATLA was. Frankly, Mako is not my favourite character and some of that is due to his treatment of Asami/Korra, but I also think people are being too hard on him. You'll miss some of the show's awesomeness focusing on the pairings too much Asami/Iroh would be nice to see though!

I really want to see more of the old Gaang. Can they please give us a flashback episode solely devoted to them in their adult years? I miss Toph

Alright, let's just ignore his backstory, his advanced firebending, his relationship with his brother, his bravery, raising his family on his own, the sacrifices he has made, his compassion towards Korra/Bolin (and everyone else). Hey, let's just ignore the ENTIRETY of him as a character and JUST focus on the romance aspect of his life and judge him based on that.

Because that's all that matters, right?
