Because pairings are more important to this show than plot

Seriously
And as for Mako's supposed "two-timing" (something that people are STILL accusing him of and it really irks me)

oh plz...he was a jerk to asami...and was pretty much pairing fodder.
so why not judge him on his love life, if thats all he was used for.
(sorry for the bashing) but i can't take how mako ended up as.

I really want to see more of the old Gaang. Can they please give us a flashback episode solely devoted to them in their adult years? I miss Toph

I'm a bit out of the loop these days. Anyone mind telling me when the next episode is? XD Are they taking a break for a bit or launching straight in from next week?

what.
Alright, let's just ignore his backstory, his advanced firebending, his relationship with his brother, his bravery, raising his family on his own, the sacrifices he has made, his compassion towards Korra/Bolin (and everyone else). Hey, let's just ignore the ENTIRETY of him as a character and JUST focus on the romance aspect of his life and judge him based on that.
Because that's all that matters, right?
Calling him just a 'pairing fodder' is so off base I can't even. Are we watching the same series? Because I have seen zero characters that fit under that category.

I agree, the whole love triangle thing in the series was the last thing on my mind. It wasn't my main focus at all, I dont understand why so many ppl didnt like Mako. I was once in a situation just like that a love triangle when I was in high school, so I've been there done that. These characters were teenagers so drama is as common as breathing. I mean love makes you do crazy stupid things, and I feel that the tension between all three of the character was very real, I enjoyed the tension. I never saw Mako as a horrible character, on the contrary he was one of my favs
