I think Naruto would get bored with Hinata after awhile unless she changed her character somehow (which is what they did in the Last). He's a hyperactive competitive doofus who likes challenges and action. That fits Sakura's description more who can stay on Naruto's level and understand his moods better. She also makes a good partner for him being a medical ninja (though SP is trying to make Hinata one too lol) and having the brains to balance his impulsiveness.
Hinata doesn't really have anything in common with him....except sad depressing childhoods. Lots to work on right there. Oh and boobs. She can satisfy Naruto's sexual needs with her kittens better than Sakura can.
Yeah, I think Hinata would laugh of Naruto's hyperactive jokes and pranks, but she'd never join in on them. We never really saw her reaction to Naruto's personality or how they fit together as people. I don't think there is any canon dynamic between them, in that way. It's different with Sakura. She scolded him at first, even though she secretly liked it, then she warmed up to him and whenever they hang out they always have fun! x) That was in the manga. With NH, I just can't see it, because well we never did.
It's the same with SS I think, and I still can't comprehend how Sakura's feelings for Sasuke only grew after he left. It doesn't make any sense, their relationship didn't exactly get deeper by not having contact for years, so it's only logical to say Sakura loves the idea of Sasuke. She'd be disappointed when she married him and noticed he doesn't make her happy like her Naruto does.

even more with my teeth... Always cleaning them or masticating chewing-cum... Poor my stomach though
