pretty much. it's cleanup and the best way to do it is bring someone in who not only knows the story, but has gotten widely praise from it. but i think it's far too late now. i've said this time and time again that it's only going to get worse.

 

Isn't this woman a major supporter of NS in Pierrot? Her reaction to the ending and this film must have been quite the sight to see. It has to be difficult for her to try and build upon the wreckage The Last has created. How do you salvage something that's already willingly destroyed itself? I don't know. Perhaps she hopes to finalise with the Hinata spawn and Sasuke spawn that couldn't be achieved with NaruSaku.

If someone had told me last January that Naruto would turn out like this, if they had told me its ending would turn the entire series in a complete and utter joke i wouldn't have believed them

This goes to show how unusual THE LAST's sales are. The sales for the movie tickets of THE LAST has decreased unusually when they should have earned a lot more for a movie whose earned five hundred million yen in their first sales.

Let's compare to other anime.
One Piece final sales 6.8 billion yen
Evangelion 510 million yen/ 4 billion yen

Also, their profit doesn't seem promising either.
THE LAST shown in 273 theaters sales 1.75 billion yen
Gintama shown in 128 theaters sales 1.68 billion yen

And Gintama has barely done much advertising......
THE LAST's profitability is laughable at this point.

they had 2 f***** years to make that movie..2 years to fix each mistake (which shouldn't be there in the first place) if it wasn't the animations, I would have thought it was rushed just like the last chapters !

In the sense he was right, I mean look at all the canon breaking changes he made. If I went in knowing nothing about Naruto, I would assume I just saw the whole story

Serves them right. SP/Kishi severely underestimated their fanbase in thinking this movie would actually be well accepted. This movie is the epitome of kitten and should be treated as such.

 

Anyway, does anyone know how the merchandise is selling?
