It doesn't hurt watching in my opinion. Season 2 is something that every TG fan in my opinion should see b/c Ishida purposely changed the storyline of season 2.
And yes, I agree, Kaneki suffers a lot throughout this manga.
EDIT: Just for clarifications: Kaneki is his last name. I thought the entire time it was his first name His first name is actually Ken. So it's Ken Kaneki.

my mom's birthday is on january 23rd, so I was like her early birthday present lol

Aw that's sweet  XD . You can say that about my brother only as a late birthday present  since my mom is born on February 9th while my brother is on Valentine's day February 14th though at our place originally is St.Trifun's day a day of celebration for all the Wine lovers  LOL XD .

 

Anyway happy early Birthday hope you have good time tomorrow XD .

It's good, dark and twisted, but good, I like the mystery that it has. The short anime barely lets on to how deep it can get, similar to Gakuen Alice.
