The Otsutsuki clan in general was a major letdown. They added nothing positive to the story at all and brought us two of the worst villains in the entire series.

Out of likes. It goes to show you after Pain, who many like as a villain, things just goes downhill. Hey, it's not me that I'm accusing Kage Summit and up is the new direction, but really, everything feels different once that arc came in.

I also think Sasuke's role as Indra's reincarnation is something that came out of nowhere and felt like it was just added in there to keep Sasuke from becoming irrelavent compared to Naruto. I guess you can say since Nagato is an Uzumaki, and thus a decendant of the Sage, he has the ability to use the Sage's occular powers. That's the best explaination I got.

Which begs the question, why Madara even do that in the first place? How is it that Nagato can do it greatly, yet Obito is struggling with one eye with both cells? That old discussion from the podcast really did bring up a good point.
