I've got a question guys: Why do you think Junko Takeuchi was so surprised about the ending? And about what time period did she start recording?!

Probably shocked at how bad it was. I don't know about the 2nd question though.

Either way, it's gonna be such a sh*tstorm on Monday... I think we got a leaked screenshot of Naruto saving Sakura in RTN. Idk when it came out, I couldn't find the page in the RTN thread Dx

 

Maybe we'll get some sort of concrete picture (something actually romantic and not ambiguous) instead of a summary, that

 

The shocking end was that all this was a huge troll or the IT LOL. I pray that it goes down like this. Then I can finally move on from my life and watch the Naruto anime without feeling bad and questioning Kishi's writing skills .-.

 

 

Monday will be a full-on day. I really hope it goes our way. It's strange though because this morning, waking up after having the best sleep in the past few weeks, I genuinely believed that NS will come, I still do I mean I don't know what I can call it, like some nagging feeling. It's like when you're trying to remember something and it's on the tip of your tongue or at the front of your mind but you can't quite recall it. This is the feeling I'm getting from this. I've got the picture, I know that something more is going on but I can't quite get to the bottom of it. 

 

So if I can finally get some genuine closure, like a full-out confirmation with no strings nothing attached. I'll be upset but then I'll know where I stand.

 

 

I just hope that no one here is too upset if it doesn't go our way on Monday. We should be fully prepared for the worst, but if NS does happen then feel free to go crazy!

 

Yeah, I know I'll definitely be upset but it'll just be a recap of the spoilers, or the chapters, or the interview lol. On the upside, I have a cruise two weeks later, a comedy cruise no less, so if I'm not at least a little cheered up by then, I'm sure it'll help :)

 

However, right now I'm going to believe. The biggest problem with all of this is the ambiguity. No mention/interaction of the main "couples" in the manga. Himawari mention of a brother, no specifics. Panel transition. Kishi genuinely went out of his way to make sure that the couples didn't interact. For example, made sure Himawari and Hinata visited Neji's grave the same time that school was in session so that could be used as an excuse. Made sure that Naruto was busy with preparing for a summit so that he could have limited interaction with his family (whoever they may be). Kept Bolt from going home. Made sure Sasuke was not in the village and out wandering somewhere. Made sure none of the main couples had any pictures or anything of their families in visible areas (had that Uchiha symbol on the bookshelf that Sakura was cleaning but that could easily be explained away i.e. heirloom for Salad once she gets older). Everything was accommodated so there could be no direct link to any of the couples. Now for a "definitive ending" that's not good enough. Furthermore, there's no way that Kishi would've created all this ambiguity to give hope to NS fans to see the film when we've literally been bombarded with NH info. I stress the NH because nothing concretely SS so far. Plus, I doubt NS fans would go see the movie until they had confirmation of the story specifics so I'm not buying that. 

 

This movie has been in production/planning for ~2 years now (or maybe it was over 2 years) and in that time Kishi has still continued to develop NS. There's no way this would've been a split decision to just change it to NH. Also, I'm sure when they were planning the movie they would've known about this being the Last movie. Kishi would've had enough time to kill NS to make room for NH in at least a superior way to the current standing of things. 

 

This week is going to be an important week and hopefully things go our way. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, but I do believe that there's still a chance for NS.

Idk if it's just me, but I can see the "Sakura" influence on his hair..

 

Even if that was Naruto and Sakura's kid I'd be disappointed with the ending since Naruto is a kitten father to his kid. That was one of the biggest issues with that chapter, not just NH alone.

Probably because there's a NH kiss in it, that would be too shocking for this series. Now that I think about it, there's not even a mutual hug in this series. The only one I can recall is the Naruto/Kushina one, all the others were one sided. Was Kishi too embarassed to show even a proper hug? That would have helped on that crappy ending, at least it would have a little bit of emotion being displayed.

Maybe this is where the IT thing comes into play? Naruto being a sh*tty dad, drinking and eaten ramen cups at work... he lied to his mom . If it's not the IT, then I agree. I'd be disappointed because obviously that's happening more than once.. 

I sure hope it's IT. I mean it's not just the pairings that are the problem here. I don't understand how anyone can find this ending acceptable. Is it too much to ask for a happy ending?

Yeah, that's true. I mean it was typical with Sasuke (even though so totally not right). So out of all the characters in Naruto, the ones that end up neglecting their kids are the two people who've been through that before and should never of allowed their kids to go through the same thing.

Exactly, they could have done NH and still made an incredibly forced happy ending, but one nonetheless, for the characters but they didn't which seems really strange to me.

Hmmm this is just me but the way Kishi made bolts hair with big curves like that remind me of DBZ Super Saiyan hair style lol

And if Bolt happens to transform into chakra mode his hair will stand up straight just like Naruto's did........only with bolts hair he'll Definetly living up to being a Super Saiyan wannabe lol

That is the absolute thing I would never, ever want to see. Speaking of SS, on my search for a manga with some romance, I found one interesting enough that I'll read it. However, not really a fan of the title:

Maybe Kishi is trying to give a message. Like associate the negative ending with NH/SS, which seems to have worked for the most part and then come out with The Last Movie that ends beautifully with NS. 

 

No matter how hard SP/Kishi tries, there's no way that a 110 min can develop a convincing and beautiful relationship between two characters with an underdeveloped, one-sided relationship when the main character has already confirmed himself that he's in love with another girl. That's definitely pushing it.

The fact that we're arguing who's kids are whose is a giant red flag LOL

I don't know... Kishimoto has always drawn kids this way. The boys especially have 90-95% resemblance to their fathers and very little features( mostly the eyes) of their mothers.

 

Look at Naruto- He looks exactly like Minato, only his eyes are like Kushina's. Look at Shikamaru, Chouji and Shino- they look exactly like their fathers. I don't know if its canon but a part 1 episode showed Gaara's father and again, Gaara, except for the eyes, was an exact carbon-copy of his father. Even Itachi has an uncanny resemblance to his father.

 

The only exception is Sasuke and tbf I'm not surprised. Sasuke is special for Kishimoto obviously 

 

The same cannot be said of girls though. Ino and Sakura look nothing like their fathers and neither does Sakura look like her mother. Unfortunately nothing much is known about parents of girls. Kishimoto felt girls were not that important I guess 

 

This is the thing that causes confusion. As far as boys of the newest generation are considered, Kishi has maintained his style. Shikamaru's son looks like Shikamaru with Temari's eyes, Sai's son resembles Sai. Then we have Boruto-- He resembles Naruto a lot but what of Hinata has he inherited? No Byakugan. And his hair-- What the heck is that? How did he get that?

 

As far as girls are concerned, again Kishi has maintained his style somewhat. Choji's daughter and Sarada-- both look neither like their father or mother.SS fans claim that Sarada looks like Sasuke. I can't see it. If anything she looks like mini-Karin. Another thing is Kishi has never drawn girls resembling their fathers. Why would he do so now? Its strange.

The only thing I really hope for, is little to no interaction between Ss, unless it involves Sakura punching the kitten out of Sasuke.(However, I'm also praying for no kiss scene in this movie, or else I might throw up.)
