I gotta say when you hit you do it hard
.
Bravo..

Thanks pal, glad ya liked it

That's the problem it's not aobut Sakura lying or not, she lied but yet she acknowledge he's better she loves Naruto but even if she loves him Naruto would not believe unless she proves it which has to be in front of Sasuke or some kind of event which people often predicts a lot of times here.
In short she lied and it's a win/win because she will end up loving him anyway, ofc she wont lie next time, it will be real because it wont be a confession but she will show him that she loves him, a simple confession from Sakura is not enough to break Naruto's mindset.
The fact is that we all know that Sakura cares way more about Naruto than Sasuke but does Naruto knows about this?
There's an huge difference on displaying some hints that she sees it than acknowledging it, she blushed she hugged Naruto but did she thought about having a romance with him?
She didnt, she only started when she found out that Hinata loves Naruto, we got a flashback of her reminding of Naruto, then later Sai tells her about Naruto's feelings for SAkura, then she starts viewing him, as a man, it doesnt count when you blush then later doesnt lead to nowhere, the difference is that those two moments lead to the development where she made up her mind to have a romance with Naruto, it's different than Yamato's speech where we didnt even get the response of it and they completely ignored that afterwards.
Actually no, she didnt begin to develop rimantic feelings or begin to be romsntic towards naruto just because of hinata. If that was the csse then I wouldnt be here supporting naruti and sakuras love for eachother. Sakura has been shown to be romantic even before she found out about hinaga. The beginning of part 2 when she meet naruto she asked him if she looked more like a woman, basically shes asking him to check her out, and look at her from a romantic point of view, the time she fed naruto ramen, thst was all her. The time she was talkimg to yamato about what she can do for naruto. The time she relied on him and called his name in the pain arc. On part 1 when she told him to go on a date with her and when she was sitting in her room she was blusbing when she remembered that naruto made her feel bettwr. When she was blushing in the zabuza towards naruti thinking, "whats this feeling....this is naruto". And many other times. Its really sad that yoh think sakura knly did those romantic things with naruto just for hinata. She hugged naruto after the pain arc because she was worried about him, what does hinata have to do with it? If that was the case then why didnt she confess her feelings to him while they werr kn the wooden bench when she was making him feel better about Tsuna'? Why only after she felt like she was a burden to naruto? Its all on her own will. Not for anyone else.
And how many tikes must I repeat myself (with all due respect) but I already explained in my previous post and also this kne how sakura thinks romantically of naruto, not because of sai or I DARE say hinata

really? Hinata?

ok first off, everything sakura was saying when she hugged naruto during the confession was romantic. She was blushing and resting her head on his shoulder and was gonna say I love you again! But narut cut her off and said if its a joke she should stop and said shes lying to herself. Kishimoto ssid sakura was being honest, and he placed her in a heroic position-which I've read many posts in japanese forums saying the ssme thing, ofcoarse people beg differ in some parts, but its nothing negative. Now, if thats romantic and sakura was being romantic towards nsruto in the manga, even if it wasnt blunt.
When she was about to make the confession she was thinking deeply about her feelings, for Naruto and Sasuke and she choose Naruto, for Naruto's sake.
her intentions could be this but, she went there without a plan, her confession was bound to fail and her plan to kill Sasuke even Kakashi knew she could not do it, Sakura was marching to her own death there, she was under emotional pressure, she didnt do it for Sasuke only, she was in pain much like Ino but her real intentions were to end it all like you said, she wanted to kill Sasuke and make Naruto hate her, she saw herself as a bad person to Naruto like she only bought him pain with the confession.
Also i didnt said she had been gotten over Sasuke and chose Naruto i sid she acknowledges Naruto as a better choice than Sasuke that he's a great guy, hence the fact he stated he was a fool for loving someome like her, meaning that she had a low view about herself that she doesnt deserve Naruto, this is already enough, she put Naruto above Sasuke and acknowledged everything he did, but despite not loving Naruto, she highly values Naruto's feelings for her and believe that Naruto can make her happy hence why she make the confession.
My conclusion is that Sakura wants to return everything Naruto did to her, that's why it can be love afterwards it's the only explanation why she cares too much about him, Naruto did a lot of stuff for Sakura and she thought she did nothing for him that she was useless, and then Sai reveals Naruto's feelings for her, and her view about herself only gets worse(thinking she only bought pain to Naruto) to a point that she saw herself as a trash and decides to end it all, Killing Sasuke and make Naruto hate her, she was under emotional pressure because she could not handle it anymore.
She come to a conclusion that returning Naruto's feelings was a way to make amends to the "bad things" she did to Naruto(from Sakura's point of view).
Ok theres nothing wrong with this post. So bssically you've got the right idea. Sakura was being honest during her confession, but she cares about sasuke, since she wasnt able to kill him, not love, she cares, and she was honest about her love for naruto and everything she said was true. And she realized how naruto is the great man not sasuke, and how she did it to protect him. Ok agreed over here.
Damn. A lot of discussion going on here. Lol Might as well hop on board.
1. Sakuras confession.
I personally believe its a mix of both to be honest. I feel as though its not a matter of is she did love Naruto right then and there but if she loved Sasuke. I feel as though she didn't truly tap into her feelings then and there when I look at it. She was more on the surface of it. She recollected what Naruto was to her and the things she brought up could definitely be considered genuine. Hell, I feel as though itwas given her love and affections toward Naruto was indeed a gradual build up from not liking him at all to where she is now. Nothing pike her feelings for Sasuke, Naruto to Sakura and Hinata to Naruto. The ONLY person to actually show signs of confliction is Sakura. The only one to have two obvious love interests is Sakura. What she goes through is what she goes through alone so her confession ain't gonna be like Hinatas or her previous one to Sasuke. She has to show that shes moved on this time around. Naruto wants her completely.
Was she lying to herself? Definitely. I feel she was.
She lied about how Sasuke meant nothing to her. Just like Naruto cant just magically get over Sakura, the same applies to her. Its very possible that she had feelings for both. I felt she did. Her feelings for Naruto were always unclear at best but still strong. This is evident throughout all of part 2. Anyway, she was definitely lying to herself. Sai clears this up when he talks about it. its not a negative.its a transition. as someone else pointed out above, if youre a NS fan and you think its all a lie, why do you ship it? That'd make NS an asspull IMO.
Just my two cents.
Great job. Although she has romantic for naruto only, she loves him, not sasuke. She was 99% honest about her confession and the other 1 % isnt true since she cares about sasuke. She cares about sasuke but its just not love. Just as sakura has doubted her love for sasuke in the forest of death when she said, "I say I like sasuke..." that was a moment of all her regrets and how she was wrong even when karui asked her what sasuke is to her, she couldnt answer. And guess what? Kishinoto said in his interview, "sakura says she loves sasuke, bit nsruto is closer to her heart". So right there he confirmed that sakuras crush Isnt with a meaninf and is bound to fade. Even in his concept art of sakura when he worte about what he thinks of her how he developed her as a heroine, one of the thingss that was written was that sakura was fashioned as a girl who doesnt understand men and how how her first crush is without a meaning, just like how most girls are. He right there said its childish. And in sakuras confession she understood the reality of things and actually grew up a little and naruto now umderstands that sakura isnt a little girl anymore and she understsnds the situation.
This is one of thr reasons why sakura is most popular female character in naruto amongst the japanese and they actuslly like her and shes a reslectable heroine up to her title (since shes 7th place) its becsuse of her deep realistic character and how well developed it is and how shes strong and well matched with sasuke and naruto (especially after mastwring fuinjutsu and recieving the seal) and how shes stron and interesting.
I wanna put the Kun thing to rest. The use of Kun is a representation of "long form" Japanese, somewhat equivalent to Mr./Mrs. In my japanese text book it states the use of long form endings indicates the users (in this case sakura) intention of keeping a distance from the other person.
While on the other hand short form Japanese represents a familiarity and close bond with the ppl using it. Sakura to Naruto/Naruto to Sakura.
Kishimoto already explained it in the chapter 350 (I think) titled "nicknames"
He already explained how kun and san is used to distance yourself from induviduals and to combst this you remive these suffixes and add nickmaes and sakura calls naruto baka which sai pointed out and pointed out how she doesnt use suffixes with nsruto. So tjat was basically kishi saying this, "hey naruto and sakura have a close bond together since sakura doesnt use suffixes with naruto and instead has nickmaes for him and how naruto uses "chan" towards sakura since he put an emphasis on chsn, "thsts waay over doing it sakura cha~~~an" thats how it was written its so complicated about this topic? Its in the manga explained 100% clear...

its knly nstural that thr japanese know everything in naruto and arent cinfused about anything including the confession and the popular 10 charavters. Heck even in the road to ninja premiere there was this poster that had a picture of sakura and ramen and the work love "ai" was written in japanese and it was written "naruto loves sakura and ramen" megi posted the picture a few pages back.
