It is what I hear when people talk about Renji and Rukia getting together. Though Renji and Sakura have something in common...people judged them based on their first impressions.

Cause I've seen and read bleach and renji is rukia closest friends they grew up together dude even broke the law to try and save her. They're very close friends til the end that goes complete opposite direction.

It seems Renji is the "Sakura" of Bleach in fact. Misunderstood and doesn't deserve love because he first appeared in the story as "abusive"

Most people just like to think that about Renji from his first appearance, buit as we saw, after his fight with Ichigo, he hated himself for being like that when he and Byakuya were under orders to bring Rukia back to Soul Society, their unaware of being used by Aizen and how he wanted to make things right to Rukia for all he failed to do, even saying how Ichigo helped him take that step he was too scared to do.

I can do the same. All Hinata is is a pathetic, shy, useless character who Naruto thinks is weird.

Yes that's true they don't realize we can play that game to. Besides renji is more useful then hinata especially thousand year blood war renji.

Well said. I mean Hinata could murder little kids and use people in experiment and her fans would still praise her while Sakura would save a bunch of people and they'd still crap on her.
Funny tyrannt made a video series were Sasuke die to Haku and later in Chunin exams he's not around to see Hinata fight and she dies and not much has really changed with her dead.

 

And again what would be the justification of that? "SHE ALWAYS LOVED NARUTO." So she could do no wrong.   and I $H!T you not, there ARE fans that would have that mentality in their heads. What a world we live in, right?

Yeah. When NaruHina fans keep saying Naruto should be with her because she loved him first when she really obsessed over him to make herself feel better...

Speaking of which, going by first impressions, Byakuya is a HORRIBLE (adopted/in law) brother to Rukia then and never loved her Hey, first impressions are all that matter right, so what's the excuse for him?¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh ya dude was a complete prick til ichigo knocked some sense into him after that he got better and cared about Rukia.

Oh it was a more complicated reason than that, but yes in general. If you recall, He married Rukia's elder sister, which was against nobility policies in the first place. Then she fell ill and passed away, and had him promise her he'd take care of Rukia, so he adopted her but then ever since had this conflicting guilt of wanting to protect her but then wanting to uphold laws and traditions because that was what he is expected to do as the head of the family etc. And because he disregarded those things on his whims, TWICE. THEN Ichigo beat the $H!T out of him and told him those things don't matter because if you want to protect your siblings, you protect them no matter what since he is an older brother himself

Id like to add about Orihime specifically that she was a much better developed character then Hinata, She had actual plot points away from Ichigo, her entire existence does not revolve around ichigo. and her removal from the story would cause some plot holes, 

 

I can say I would have preferred Rukia and Ichigo as a couple but I can as a reader see where Ichigo and Orihime had actual relationship development and where their relationship took solid progressive steps forward throughout the story and wasnt just dropped on peoples heads out of nowhere

That's why I love the ichigo byakuya fight in the soul society. Plus ichigo would do anything for his sisters. After that byakuya cared about rukia like fight zommari.

One big example of Orihime's character is her compassionate heart, even after the pain she endured with the abuse from her parents as a baby, losing her older brother Sora TWICE, and the bullying she endured too before she befriended Tatsuki. It shows how big her heart is, and how that's her greatest power.

Agreed though she maybe be to nice and in a fight it could be her undoing. She needs the Alucard speech he give seras in brazil after he killed all those that attacked him.

She was much better developed. Essentially, she is what Hinata could have been in the Naruto story, but yet...Orihime is HATED by the Bleach community while Hinata is loved.

Every time I see posts about Bleach they all say "OMG, Orihime is so useless. All she is is boobs and a damsel," but Hinata is loved.

That's why I can't get my head around it.
Why do people love Hinata so much? Whatever reason people give, it is never consistent when compared to how they feel to similar characters.
"They love Hinata because she has big boobs," but they hate Orihime because she is big boobs.
"They love Hinata because she was loyal to Naruto," but they hate the fact that Orihime loves Ichigo since the beginning.
"They love HInata because she is shy," while they hate Orihime because she is reserved.

Orihime is everything that Hinata could have been and they hate her in comparison.
