If we're talking about backstories and all, I'm waiting for Zoro's and Luffy's the most. Particularly the latter's mom. You just know Oda is gonna make her as awesome as Kushina, if not even more. And thus, the Holy Trinity of Badass Mamas are completed. (Kushina, Masaki, Luffy's mom)

BTW, didn't Shanks end up knocking up Makino?

if this chapter doesn't make you fear an emperor, i don't know what will. do you guys realize how dangerously powerful you have to be in order to become an emperor. you have to understand the sea, and have men who are able to provide top notch intel. big mom knows everything there is about sanji, which is pretty damn scary. you refuse her, and someone important to you will be decapitated and shipped off to fedex just for you. also, i love how luffy felt like a captain this chapter. he told his crew what he's going to do and not one of them tried to stop him, not even zoro.

and i predict luffy won't just sneak in there  to crash the party, he's going to have fight big mom. oda is making us think it's just a simple infiltration and go home, nope! just like impel down, luffy tries to sneak around to free ace, but he encounters magellan who defeated him, and black beard who's a damn emperor now! this is already setting up luffy vs big mom.

Lol, who knows! It did stand out to me though, I guess I wasn't paying attention when Luffy and Nami split up from everyone else. The only ones that are with them is Wanda and Carrot, is it?

Anyhow the both of them being together just shows how Nami isn't about to stand idly by, no she is going to be right there asking important questions with Luffy. I'm really hoping that she keep this determined attitude and sticks with him, it would suck if she stays behind.

I'm hopeful though since she's there with Luffy wanting to find out all the details on Sanji and she's been the one crew member that's been adamant about doing something. Having her be part of the group that goes to Big Moms island would be awesome! The last time I remember her and Luffy really working together in an arc with Skypia. Sure they had a little bit of interaction in Water 7, but in my opinion Skypia was more memorable.

I know everyone is really focused on Zoro since he's the one person that hasn't been challenged since the time skip, but I want some love for Nami. Usopp discovered his haki in DressRosa and everyone else is pretty well off with their powers, so it's the navigators turn to bring it up a level.

I really love the theory with Monet's devil fruit being in one of Nami tangerines. It would be awesome if she ate that Devil Fruit and gained some snow abilities. How sweet would it be for such a gifted navigator to be able to manipulate some weather, I'll tell you, It would be Awesome!

So that's what I'm really hoping for with this new arc. Nami needs to stay with the group that's going to rescue Sanji!! Even if she doesn't get an upgrade it'll really give her a chance to shine and grow.

^cant wait to see how Nami grows either. I think no matter what happens in terms of them getting to big mom, I think she'll be with Luffy which has always been good for her development, like back on Sky island, Arlong Park, Water 7, Ussop's home, Jaya etc. she always learns and develops when she's around Luffy, which is nice.

I'm partial about it. In 19 pages, I feel like they could of done what they did in all 19, in just 12 pages. While that's not good, another part of me is relieved it isn't as bad as we had it the past 2 years with Dressrosa.

 

Also, Luffy is rude. Sitting on the rulers of Zou like it's nothing.

So I haven't read a chapter since 803 due to college and ofcourse laziness being the big thing, but I figured now might be the best to break out of that groove, and it's gonna be crazy doing this but... I'll be doing my live reaction from Chapters 804 to the latest chapters so we might be here for a while...

Good chapter I'm glad that theres been actual progression in each chapter. I must admit that I'm not a fan of Luffy going alone. It doesn't even have to do with shipping, since I had said earlier that I really wanted Nami to be with him. I wanted the classic sneaking into a party fiasco. I wanted everyone to make fake identities and dress up to hide their true identities. That would be so awesome, Oda could do so much and it would be hilarious.

The crew hasn't been together in forever and even after this reunion it wasn't complete since Sanji wasn't there. Now we have to see Luffy go off on his own? How does that make any sense? The only thing I can see happening is that he might bite off more than he can chew and then he'll need help. Everyone else then has to save not Sanji, but Luffy as well. I guess that would be ok, but I would like if he kept part of his crew with him instead of going alone. What do you guys think?

Well, honestly, I never thought Luffy was going to go alone in the first place. Law would have had some say, Nami probably would have argued a little later when Luffy told everyone, and Zoro wouldn't have let him go alone.

But if you look at the situation now, the Minks are about to find out about Samurai on the island, which probably means that the entire gang is gonna be running away from Zou pretty soon, because the Minks are furious with the samurai. Once that happens, everybody is going to be out to sea anyways. I can foresee a situation in which they all end up going to big mom, and Law could use that as an opportunity to pit Kaido and Big Mom against each other. If Lola by any chance happens to show up, that could lead to Big Mom acting in Luffy's favor and then it gets even more interesting.

That was a really long winded answer, but in short, I wouldn't have minded Luffy going alone, but I never really thought it was going to happen.
