I am happy to see the much of the fandom, outside the sailors of the corrupted ships, are still fighting against the ending.

 

On another note we are suppose to get four feet of snow between today and tomorrow. So... yeah... lol

Well, my post wasn't about that but rather the fact Sasuke still wins. Over Naruto! WHAT!!! WHAT!!!!!

Of course Sasuke will always win, he's the main character after all ! 

All the manga was about him and how he went back to konoha after forgetting about all his ideas about revenge and changing the world ! 

And Naruto was only a tool...he was created so someone can understand Sasuke's feelings !

Anything that garners more than what was expended in the production and promotion of the film will be considered a success. Given the fact that this film is likely to have only a fraction of the time for creation and polishing as The Last, I would say that the budget for it is pretty standard for Naruto. If a decent net profit can be earned it's a technical success. And I would hazard to guess that maybe 30-40% of the fandom (NH, SS, some neutrals, and casuals) still remains.

 

I don't know. I don't see how losing a huge portion of your market can be seen as anything less then a complete failure of your business plan. Maybe your right though, and they simply went in knowing they weren't going to earn that much money as they could with an alternate ending, and went with it anyways.

 

If you meant the first thing I said, it's that the only people who are really defending this ending are the hardcore NH/SS shippers.

it makes sense considering he's been chasing him throughout the entire series. he didn't even feel worthy of the kage title since he couldn't save sasuke. it kinda feels like everything hinged on sasuke. i was a bit in denial before the ending, but sasuke really did feel like the main character to me, especially when he got to narrator the ending of the series.

Yeah !!! Plus, since when we don't hear the main character speech about HOW he will bring peace to the world? ! We only heard Sasuke's version (and madara's...and Pain's ) Naruto never exposed his plan...

We can see that Kishi, at some point (maybe after Pain's arc), had no idea about how to continue his manga, about how Naruto would bring peace to the world or whatever ! (the only thing he was sure about, is about how he would draw Naruto and Sasuke's fight...when you say you'll end the manga by showing that fight, it makes you think that this manga wasn't about Naruto becoming hokage, but Naruto bringing back Sasuke ) 

Another thing is that, we never saw Naruto becoming Hokage  and people acclaiming him during that moment, especially since it was Naruto's goal from the beginning ! I would have been less angry if I was able to see that !

The Last is expected to premiere in 7 different countries - all of them having a large following behind nH and Hinata in general. It's obvious that Pierrot took into account the detriment they would encounter with a film dedicated to a character and a relationship that's mostly admired in the otaku and Western circles.

 

Defending isn't the same as supporting. The followings behind those relationships will not be the only ones reading the spin-off and watching the film. A portion of the neutral fandom remains and the casuals aren't too concerned with narrative integrity because they only go to the theatres to watch Naruto once a year.

So true !!! I always thought Hinata wasn't really in love with Naruto, that it was more some kind of admiration, especially in part one !
