^^Agreed. Although, I personally believe Sasuke will die in the end but in the same matter Itachi did for Sasuke. Long explanation and not the right forum to talk about this in. ^^

I can agree that Sakuras confession was out of desperation (at the bench scene) in order to keep Sasuke in the village, to which Sasuke rejects her. If he wanted Sakura that badly in a relationship, he had thousands of opportunities to take her...but he didn't. Not because he believed Sakura would be safe in the village than with him but because he simply didn't want her.

For Hinata though, it was more out of resolve for herself than anything, in my opinion. If Naruto couldn't defeat Pain, I kind of assume Hinata was expecting to die right there and figured, "Hell, might as well confess since I am going to die anyways". I also think Kishimoto used Hinatas confession to push Naruto overboard into the 9-tails so it was also used to quicken the plot. Notice how her confession was less than 2 pages long including the confession AND her fighting?

I can agree with that. Trying to save Naruto was the desperation part, but she knew she was going to die right there, so she confessed. I don't see her confession as a plot device, but it was convenient.

So, would this awkwardness also include Sai asking Naruto if he loved Sakura and when Sai told Sakura that even he could tell Naruto loved her? Poor Sai. He will never get a break.

What about Yamato implying that Sakura loved Naruto?

Need to go to sleep, but had to throw something out that comes from the long Japanese movie report we just got. Unlike what we've heard from the gaijin report on NF the Japanese source says Sakura is already feeling lonely in the genjutsu world before she sees Sasuke is a playboy. She is going to see Naruto to talk to him when she sees Sasuke using the same come on line with the squealing fangirls. That just makes her feel more miserable, she's even more miserable than she already was because she got fooled by a boy just feeding her a come on line is the tone apparently.

(An aside here, but wow is it ever obvious to me that when he wrote that Kishimoto was thinking about his daughter in say 10 or so years- ie "Don't fall for a smooth talking playboy, he just wants one thing from you.." No wonder he brought his kids to the premiere of the movie )

I haven't posted in this thread for a few pages. But judging from reading a few posts here, it's safe to say that this movie had a lot of NS in it and was basically anti-NH/SS to the opposing sides? ^^

Did anything big happen NS wise in the movie? I'm gonna take a bit to get caught up on this XD

We learned how there dates will be. Every NS date from now on will be a huge epic adventure that ends in Naruto and Sakura fighting some bad guy who's hellbent on destroying the world.

Older child is supposedly a daughter. Younger one may be as well, no one has said. He didn't mention their genders at the last Jump Festa but he was talking about liking sweet things like ice cream but that's considered a girly thing in Japan, so to protect his masculine pride he goes to ice cream parlors with his wife and kids. (that's what makes me think the younger kid is a girl too since he mentions using the cover of his wife and both his kids- unless the younger one is a preschool kid, thus too young to have the whole I can't do that it's girly complex.

Just bought the Road to Ninja novelization on Amazon Japan (along with a Japan only published book Yoko Ono wrote back in the 1980's that I've been looking since forever, it's finally back in print in Japan.) total book cost- $15, total shopping cost $43- ugh, Amazon Japan only ships overseas by International Express mail- the most expensive shipping from Japan, you definitely don't want to buy just a single item, it's around $33 just for the first item, if you add another book or CD it just goes up around $10 each item after the first. Still horrendously expensive though.

Sounds about normal for Kishimoto As someone else said, that would make the whole manga one very long date for them

Yes, she did watch Road to Ninja. There are about five NaruSaku friends I know who are from Japan. One of them (known as Bobby) tends to have her blogs linked to this forum a lot. Speaking with them, from Japan, is limited since I we have to translate our conversations. There is an Indonesian NaruSaku forum who has a lot of members who are amazing in support and also someone from China said they found my NaruSaku doujin on a Chinese NaruSaku forum site and asked to translate it into Chinese for them. I was blown away by the amount of Narusaku love all over the world.

But back on topic, I am looking for more detailed answers for you but like I said, it takes time.

At Naruto wasting no time in asking Sakura for a second date, and in front of her parents no less. The guy's got swag.

In a weird way it kind of reminds me of how Karin is also bold when it comes to her feelings for Sasuke. I guess a character trait of the Uzumaki clan is how they take a direct approach when it comes to their intentions.

I guess this could prove my Yandere!Kushina theory right, after all . I suspect she was one during her youth. After all, Kurama would've tried to influence her feelings somehow.

These two really make a great couple. There's just so many chemistry between them. I do wonder about that trait. If only Nagato had a love interest. Would like to see how he act. Oh well.

Considering that part of Sakura's role in the movie was:

1) To feel shame for misplacing her trust on Sasuke and realize how childish of her it was
2) To understand Naruto's loneliness to the point that she wants to confront the enemy to preserve his happiness in this world
2) To deny that they where on a date at the beginning, only for her to acknowledge it as the longest date ever at the end

I think we can conclude that if Sakura ended up with anyone other that Naruto it would automatically make this movie the mother of all awkwardness.

Well, she kind of also went on a suicide mission to kill Sasuke just for the sake of Naruto's happiness. So it's not the first time she has done it.

I have yet to hear about him having ice cream, with his kids. Unless this is published only in Japan. O.o I would LOVE to read anymore information on Kishimoto and his family. I know they influence his works. His wife was the one with the idea on Kushina.

I am still puzzled as to why Sakura would say that it was not a date at the beginning of the movie and then at the end say they just had the longest date. Kishimoto makes Sakura a confusing character for me sometimes. I was thinking that this morning at work.

From what I heard, she fought Menma alone in the first ambush. Also, I heard she said, "a true hero will save us from you!" and then, she gets ko. She did it alone because Naruto wanted to stay or at least that's what she believed. It happened right after the fence scene. Remember Sakura watch Naruto being overjoyed with the family, and Sakura didn't want to interrupt at all. My best guess is that she calls Naruto to the fence to ask about his opinion and once the truth was out, she decides to go alone and let Naruto stay with his family to be happy, regardless of they're not real, he can at least be happy. Perhaps saving Sakura was the trigger to Naruto, as in waking up from the illusion. I only know That takL from NF said that she was the one that brings back Naruto to reality. I'm assume that the fence and the confrontation with Menma was it. It doesn't help that Naruto was the only one that cares for Sakura.

Perhaps we can learn more if we can translate that s-rank mission that I posted here somewhere.

About he getting killed, she might not understand that she means a world to him. That's true about her meaning a world to Naruto. That Gaara vs Naruto proves it. I don't think I have to cover this since it's been discussed so many times, but I would say that if she dies, I think Naruto will explode, whether in sadness or anger. When he fought Gaara, he put his life on the line. More and more he was planning to kill Gaara for the sake of Sakura. Hell, Gaara got scared at one point.
