Tokyo Ghoul is amazing isn't it? Its my replacement for this manga. Is it yours as well?

Tokyo ghoul is awesome! Now that I've caught up I have to wait for updates though XD

Right now Tokyo Ghoul is my top manga and with that I have to go... :argh:

Ohhhh what's happening? Making me curious about Tokyo Ghoul..lol

TG is seinen manga and came out in 2011. The story takes place in modern day Tokyo where people called ghouls live alongside or secretly among humans. While they look like humans, ghouls can only devour humans- and well, water and coffee. Our main character Ken Kaneki, a human, gets involuntarily turned into a half-ghoul after a certain accident caused him to receive organs from a ghoul. Kaneki now needs to find out how to live on in the human world w/out being discovered as half-ghoul. With the help of some other pacifist ghouls, he learns how to accept his new identity and to sympathize more with the ghouls whom he has viewed in a complete other light until now. Tokyo Ghoul already ended with 14 volumes, but there is a continuation called Tokyo Ghoul:re right now. Check it out if you are interested!

I am actually wondering if they won't screw up the season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul. Are they still going to impose heavy censorship on the gore?

Me too! Since the first time I watch this, the animation was one of reasons (beside its genre) I felt it's wrong for me to watch the naruto anime. I actually like short series, sometimes I feel like they keep its (story/manga/anime) quality.

Yeah. The length is what I feel really killed this series. Kishi really should have ended it at some point after the Pain arc. 

 

I don't really have any preferences when it comes to the length of a series, but you are right about quality. The longer you have to keep something going, the more chances there are to screw it up. It demands a certain amount of skill, which I think Kishi lacks. 

 

Oh I do like comedy before sleep.

It's always best to end your day with a good laugh. That's what Kishi is here for.  :thumb:

Read the manga first. There are important scenes that are being left out in the anime. Anyway, the manga is better than the anime

So far I haven't seen any censorship.

Have you seen it yet? I think it was pretty solid first episode in my opinion. It doesn't help comparing it to the original story, so just be open to what could happen from now on in season 2 :D

Manga. The manga is a lot better and will explain to you why people get hooked up with this series.
