There were a few convenient plot points, but the movie moves too fast and furiously for you to really think about them. I had an adrenaline rush at least twice during the movie and goosebumps several times. Liam Neeson takes no prisoners in the lead role and literally carries the movie on his back. This thriller actually lives up to it's label of thriller; that's quite the feat. This film is now one of my favorite films; it's not a masterpiece of storytelling like many of my other favorite films, but everything else more than makes up for it. I can't remember the last time a film made me need about ten minutes to calm down after it was finished.

Taken 5/10 I thought this film was terrible Steven Segal film with no Steven Segal. They went for a Bourne Identity style of fighting but everything seemed to end with a jab or a snap of the wrist, ala Steven Segal in every film. It's at least cheezy and enjoyable like a Steven Segal film. There's one moment that felt so out of place, that it instantly turned his character into a bad guy. Also there was a lot... I mean a lot of cliched writing, even the characters just felt like giant stereotyped-archetype, with no depth in character... A lot of moments of stomping us on the head to show us how right he is and how wrong his wife is. Fun watch but don't expect to come out of the film unscathed.
Terminator Salvation 1/10 Such a wasted film. The single most important element was missing from this film. The entire film we were reminded that it's humans vs machines, but the humans weren't present. What I mean: There's no humanity in this film, no moment of characters. There was no hope, no difference between the humans and the machines. No passion at all. Just droning repetitive (in monotone)"oh no, robots... ah" What were they fighting for? That's what we didn't know. They said it, but they never showed it. Every time there was chance for some interesting inter action to happen an action scene showed up. A wonderfully mediocre film. They got big names which is good for draw, but they're all just striking their marks and saying their lines, then picking up a paycheck. They're all so poorly used. The majority of the fault lies with the writing. It's all amateur writing and rookie mistakes, and the last 20 minutes or so, will have you checking all the ways the movie could've ended, when the robots could've easilyl won already but didn't because the writers did such a poor job thinking it out. Although I'm sure their hugest problem was "the Matrix explored this part of Terminator's future already." And as my friend said, they've managed to turn John Connor into the most selfish action hero ever. No character development, it feels like they just place the characters in place for things to explode and make loud noises. The score is pointless. It's as if Elfman was pissed off at them for repeatedly saying they wanted the score to contain the themes of the original, and so just made up mediocre music inbetween his extreme loud forte odes to the original score to remind us that it's Terminator we're watching. Just a wreck. I didn't even expect much more going in other than a fun summer action film, and I spent the majority of the film thinking... "why don't the robot's just..." or "I really want to care about these characters but their screen time is just so poorly utilized." Really no redeeming factor. A Soulless entry into the series. I dare even say that as recycled and poorly done as the 3rd film was, it was at least entertaining. Everything is a wasted effort.

Hancock: 9/10
I only wish there was a comic book series about Hancock because this is the first time I ever see a superhero dealing with with real human-like consequences. The only thing that disappoint me was the ending...
Gran Turino: 9/10
OMG, this movie was awesome! Clint Eastwood cracked me up with his racist attitude. It also a heart-warming film that even people whom are very racist to every nationality can change.

Movie based on the martial art master of Bruce Lee. Donnie Yen fits the perfect role and plenty of action scenes for you kung-fu fanatics. Must watch. :3

Just got back from seeing it,the plot is passable, and the acting is decent for the most part, but it's got all the action and stunning special effects that will make it a Summer Blockbuster. And then there's Megan Fox.....yea, im just gonna be civil and leave it there.

Holy crap! Kick ass movie! And this is the movie for people must see because this is happening in reality, human trafficking for prostitution and sex slaves are all around and these young girls (and guys, yes they do kidnap boys too!) need to stay alert and listen to their parents instead of being grown and be careful of who you trust. Liam Neelson did a super job as a father who is a retiree spy and went to Paris armed and ready to save his kidnapped 17-year-old daughter.

Superb special effects and I got a nice nostalgia feel, but the plot wasn't good at all. Way overhyped.
The Taking of Pelham 123- 7/10
Washington and Travolta did great acting as always, but like usual movies can't compare to the original novels. Still was pretty entertaining thriller.

I'll give it everything I can allow myself to give for it's jaw dropping effects and such; I honestly was entertained. I laughed alittle, was satisfied with some of the battles and I got that same nostalgic feeling True mentioned, but saying all this counts for very little.
Gaping plot holes, racism, corniness, empty characters (seriously), bad and/or no development for good characters (seriously this, wtf happened to that kickass robot with the swords and rollerblades as feet?), frustrating battle scenes and a whole lot more. Not to mention the fact that since so many people were still going, only the front row seats were left. TOTAL BS B[
also, NEEDED MOAR TRANSFORMERS THEME SONG. LINKIN PARK IS NOT IT, SWING AND MISS, BAY.
/8 bucks is alot of green, yo.
