Kishi was definitely forced or pressurized. There is in no way Naruto could just give up on Sakura that way.

I liked how the administrator removed public assess to the forums. I actually had to log in this old forsaken account to reach the chapter 699+700 thread.

 

700 is still up in the air so my assumptions are not set in stone. However....

 

Development or not, we can call it flirting in absence of what was not there; Sasuke. I can probably use the Twilight series for good reference. I can use Harry Potter for extra credit. There were a couple cutesy moments between the yellow haired idiot and pink shag rug, but nothing really fundamental to build upon. If the prince of "darkness" were still around for the length of the manga, maybe, just maybe development could have stirred with Sasuke and Sakura which could result in a relationship or realization that Sasuke was not suited for her. Got to get out those fangirl feelings out yo... Ahem, and that never happened. Now that Sasuke is back, well, the parallels with the old slides from the younger manga really makes it too bad to be false. The flick on the head? That could be hands down a Sasuke/Sakura moment. A dagger if I use a basketball reference where the opposing team blew out the home team and there is not chance for a comeback.

 

Sigh**** (in a good way)  I'm getting ready for work after this.

 

So, the Hinata saga did not run its course either. Moment upon moment of slowly rising development with Naruto. Romantic? Maybe maybe not. It sure is a lot more recognizable romance because the fan hate whenever Naruto has a moment with her than Sakura. That means there is possible romance. I don't know. It took me several years to pick up the small cues where a girl's body language, the signs of attraction and etc. are shown. Sakura is treating Naruto like a consolation prize. Someone she could end up with, who is utterly dependable, but can not stir her soul without him breaking it down over time to become tolerable.

 

 

Please, please flame me that I am wrong with 700. I have little hope that Naruto can pull the friend zone cliff run and grab that damn Sakura for what she is worth; a trophy wife; shiny but cheap.

Ok so this thread has become quite the bashing session, where are the mods? Or do we not care anymore? I think we should.

Like: we do not know how much time has elapsed from the moment Sasuke says sorry to the point where Sakura has forgiven him and fallen back in love with him. So there's a lot of ambiguity there and a lot of room to grow/forgive/redeem. Same goes for NH. Though they are seen at the funeral together we know they do not get together right away, which leads me to believe that they are standing next to each other because of Nejis involvement.

Things I do not like: not a single conversation about the POAL. It's brought up so much and so often I was sure Kishi would at least address it. Naruto and Sakura deserve some closure at least. At least one convo about their feelings. I LOVE them both so much, I just want them to be happy.

So here is my plea: please stop bashing! Yes, there were plot holes in the story and the pairings. No, our pairing did not become canon. But you know what? Sakura is still a kick ass kunoichi, flaws and all, she is still the queen. She is not the same girl who fixed get hair for boys, and not the same girl who worries about what others say. She is now a strong, independent woman who is kind and loving to all. You all want to bash her for loving someone who had tried to kill her? Then you better bash Naruto too. Sasuke has attempted to kill him numerous times and yet he calls him brother.

This is not our story, it never was. I'm sorry you all are hurt, I am too but that's not a reason to hate. Kishi gave us this awesome ninja world to go crazy about. And for that I have to thank him. Naruto carried me through some tough times, and I still believe in the Manga and all it had to bring.

I love narusaku and I go down with my ship, but don't let the end pairing ruin your taste for the gutsy ninja =)

Problem is from some of us, that manga was a little painful but we did read it because we read too much of it ( I won't stop reading it when I read 587 chapter) but you expect the reward in the end. And this is what you've got. Sorry but you can really defend him. I really like part 1 and the 1st half of shippuden.But those chapter were the last straw for most of us

We're not hating. We're not bashing. We are criticizing obviously poor story telling. There was so much randomness in that epilogue. So many thing that weren't eluded to in the manga. There was random pairings, random technology. The main heroine of the story got two panels. The war arc was wrapped up way too quickly.

 

This isn't bashing, this is calling out a foul. It's fair criticism. Yes it's Kishi's story, and it is a bad one.

I've said this already but with the final chapters just releasing I think it's right for me to repeat this.

 

I have always liked this site and the pairing of NaruSaku. So many wonderful discussions about this pairing that I have written and read from the other great users here. This whole day just seems like one big nightmare but I have to accept it. Somewhere along the way Kishi just gave up on NS and I don't want to speculate what caused him to make this change but all I know that it was not a good decision.

 

If one day I find out that Kishi regretted not making NS canon I will have to just laugh. Just shake my head and laugh at him for not doing the things he was suppose to do in the first place. The Obito/Rin, Minato/Kushina, and Jiraiya/Tsunade all seem like pointless things now that Kishi should've never even wrote about. Why focus on the NS relationship in the first place, why all the teases? Why have these parallels that won't amount to nothing in the end? Why have Naruto fall in love with Sakura in the first place and have it drag on for over 600 chapters? 

 

I can no longer follow the series into the new era project. I can't even imagine how future Naruto/Sakura interactions are going to play out. It would seem so fake and OOC that it would be a pain to even look at. This simply depreciates the characters of Naruto and Sakura.

 

I feel so bitter right now, but I will calmly move on from this. Hopefully my spark for NS will come back one day and I'll be able to come back here with no negative emotions, but the fact that NS will never be canon is just very disheartening and demotivating.

Tbh Naruto and Sakura's development was never intended in a way to be romantic. Maybe we just misunderstood.

Guys stop hating Kishimoto. It is his manga and he makes up the story. He always wanted NH to happen.

Him always wanting NH is fine. Its the way he wrote it, which included heavily implying something else would happen, thats messed up. He could have written NH and SS beautifully with each of the characters keeping all of their dignity, but he instead wasted time making it look like and implying Sakura was having a change of heart and like Sasuke really had only the smallest bit of affection for her, while he in his own twisted messed up way seemed to like Karin. 

 

I hate to say it because I know most people will think im just upset (which im not really. Not nearly as much as i could be. lol i dont want to see it splashed all over my monitor but im not crying or anything) but this looks like an asspull. NaruSaku was the most natural end. Now Kishi writes some bs for SS and needs a movie to write NH??? No if he wrote NS he wouldnt need a movie to develop their relationship. Its already in his manga.
