You know...its kinda absurd but a team consisting of two demi gods, the strongest kunoichi of all and a ninja who is actually a 'ninja' lack coordination. I mean, yeah you are right but its just that its a bit.....absurd. Look at Ino-Shika-Cho or team 10 for that matter. They are not even close what Team 7 is, combined that is. And yet all of them share excellant teamwork, better than T7 and the only one to have a best teamwork is Naruto and Sasuke. They are the best 2 member tag team currently. I mean honestly, I dunno about you guys, but leaving aside my hate and disgust for Sasuke, seeing his stance and actions with Naruto, I doubt any 2 member tag team is on par with these guys. And this is not because they are demigods or anything. Tracing back to Zabuza arc, their team work was far far superior than any of the 2 member tag team in existence(in their league for that time). They don't even have to communicate with each other to understand what battle strategy other wants to put up. Team 7 does not coordinate well as a unit but within them the Naruto/Sasuke tag team is the best and beyond every 2 tag team league. And this even stated by Tobirama.

You could make an argument for Shikamaru's tactical genius proving to have enormous value that rivals what Sakura's done. He's definitely the most proactive of the Rookies since the manga began (he presided over the squad that was sent to rescue Sasuke from Orochimaru during SRA and he's acted as a commanding officer in the current war). The others? Probably not. 

Can you actually provide me the manga panel where Shikamaru's tactical genius provided enormous value in this war? All I see is a genius standing on the exact same spot for the whole arc, trying hard to think of something but unable to find a solution. Naruto and Sasuke has been a lot more strategically helpful than Shikamaru, who is considered to be a "genius", in this war.

my thoughts on the chapter:

• not a huge fan of the fact that sakura is continually getting insulted and emotionally crushed by sasuke. still hoping that she'll do something cool and important soon (especially with that whole talent for genjutsu she apparently has...)
• i read naruto's statement as him saying he understands that sakura and kakashi only were saved because they were next to him, not because sasuke cared, but then turning around and saying that they were next to him specifically because "his body just moved on his own" to protect people he cared about? the mangastream translation is really weird and ooc so i'm just going off of the mangapanda one 
• honestly the primary reason i am still reading right now is because sakura is actually on the page in a lot of the chapters
• man, sasuke is even more kittenish than i remembered

There's various examples like during the KinGin siblings fight and the Allies' struggle against the Jubi. I think the standards for strategically helpful might be a bit different for Naruto and Sasuke, especially the latter. Most of the former's contributions have come in the way of protection and healing whenever the war effort was hitting a snag. Sasuke's strategical assistance has mostly been limited to how long he can occupy the attention of Madara/the Jubi/whatever enemy that happens to emerge (his skill-set is of the upfront offensive variety) . Shikamaru's assistance usually came in the form of basic ingenuity (as in the case of the Alliance learning the Doton abilities of Iwagakure to hinder a Bijudama), communication, and the formulation of key strategies to stop/defeat enemies. Naruto and Sasuke use their chakra to provide for others. Shikamaru, while obviously not having the same enormous reserves of power that they do, uses the abilities that he and his teammates have as best they can in creative methods to succeed. He's obviously not done as much as Naruto and Sasuke, but then you could say the same for almost everyone else.

I give him that he has "assisted" in defeating Asuma (which barely counts as "Shikamaru's strategic genius contributing to the alliance" because it wasn't really a strategic fight) , and the Kin Gin brothers (which the strategic plan was actually made by Shikaku). 

 

What else? Please give me examples because as of now, I don't know what strategies he made that has provided more value to the alliance than Sakura who has:

-Prevented the alliance hero's death (without him there is no way to win the war)

-Healed the whole shinobi alliance (which Sai said that no other medics could do in the front line)

-Gave intel to the shinobi alliance regarding Zetsu's abilities and traits

Hmm... That I can't give. When I made that post, I was thinking more along the lines of Shikamaru's general contributions spanning across the manga (from the Chunin Exams to SRA, the immortal duo arc, and the recent one) and the scope of what he's doing, his role as a primary strategist when his father died (or when he wasn't available). Sakura has certainly been more prevalent in the recent one hundred and fifty chapters with her accomplishments.

The only one he arguably cares about "deep down" is Naruto, but SS fans everywhere are saying SS will be canon and Sasuke cares for Sakura so much. How can fans understand a character so badly? I'm just ... are they reading too much fanfiction or what?

 

I made a whole post about it on tumblr about Sasuke not caring. I'm just tired of the kitten people are saying when it's so, so obvious it's wrong. I shouldn't even have to point out, but the SS shippers .... the SS shippers.

I think she died of old age and passed down to Kushina. She outlived Hashirama. Still wondering on how he died. Maybe the same, though since he's around, it feels like more and more connect to Kaguya's grand plan.
