Oh wow, this is probably my favorite theory about this movie so far! If that was true, I wonder if Naruto would team up with with the Akatsuki, or if his K-11 allies would just have their personalities. If it was the latter, I'd love to see Naruto fight Hidan.

This movie sounds AMAZING!

Funny that both movies Kishi has had a heavy hand in separates and focuses on Naruto and Sakura (i.e. Naruto and Sakura running away together to save Kakashi in the 3rd movie, and this one w/ them being the target of the genjutsu together).

Trying to hint at something there Kishi?

I would adore to see Sakura interacting w/ Naruto's parents too! So much love!!

FYI, though, Hinata's VA has been added to the list of voice actors - so she'll get more than a cameo. I doubt she'll get any bigger role than the rest of the rookies though.

I expect the rookies to get a pretty big role since them acting differently is a big hook for the movie. More than Minato since he was already in a movie. And likely where most of the comedy will come from with Naruto.


Too bad we won't see this movie for a year. But hopefully they'll be enough promo clips out there. I've been seeing a ridiculous amount of fanart of Hinata with Kushina. With the idea they would get along great and that Hinata is Kushina's choice for Naruto. So some actual interaction between Sakura and Kushina would be nice and hopefully give the fan-artists something to work with.

Well considering Minato was a big pull in Movie 4, he wasn't in it all /that/ much. They focused more on Naruto and Sara, the original character for the film. Split 11 ways in a movie that's only about an hour and a half long or so isn't going to be that much screen time, imo.

Here's hoping (would be eternally happy to see Sakura interacting w/ Naruto's parents, esp. Kushina) - though there have been quite a few fanarts and comparisons with Kushina and Sakura as well, so I'm not complaining. I just make sure to steer clear of other fanart that's not to my taste.

It may be a fake world, where everyone is sharing the genjutsu, and not a separate illusion for everyone.

I'm not completely sure but they might be talking about how the original script for Blood Prison is slightly different from the actual movie. I heard that it was Sakura who originally returned Naruto his headband when they arrived to rescue him, but the movie apparently has Tsunade doing it instead. If if they're not talking about that then please let me know.

Now for a change of topic how about a little food for thought. As far as I can tell Gai always has his ninja vest open for a majority of the time in the series, but when you get a glimpse of Kakashi in the Road to Ninja trailer he has his vest completely open while making a sort of power up pose that would be more of Gai's thing. Now everybody please try to imagine this scene:

As far as I can tell Gai always has his ninja vest open for a majority of the time in the series, but when you get a glimpse of Kakashi in the Road to Ninja trailer he has his vest completely open while making a sort of power up pose that would be more of Gai's thing. Now everybody please try to imagine this scene:

Gai: Kakashi, we're not kids anymore chill out.

Now this seems more like each character switching with their opposite in the genjutsu world. Rather than the characters being like the Akatsuki. Although it would be cool if that turned out to be true.

So each could have an opposite. Ino(extroverted and aggressive) and Hinata(shy and reserved), Shika(lazy and smart) and Kiba(wild and stupid), Choji(kind and bighearted) and Shino(cold and creepy), Gai(hot-blooded and loud) and Kskashi(calm and thoughtful)

Even though they are the stars of the movie, it might have been cool to have seen Sakura and Naruto with different personalities. Who would they have switched with?

If the Akatsuki/K-11 personality switch theory does turn out to be true, I wonder what other switches we might see. Kakuzu/Shino and Kisame/Kiba wouldn't be too hard to imagine, IMO. I guess that might mean Kisame would treat Samehada more like a pet than a weapon, and Kiba might do the opposite with Akamaru. Hmmm...

I read a bit more translated info on the movie, and it seems like Tobi's genjustu affects everyone in a different ways, i.e. Hinata thinks she's Anko, hence why her jacket is open in the poster, and Ino thinks she's Hinata hence why she's dressed as she is in the poster. It also explains why everyone else looks different, because they think they're someone else when they're not. The only people that seem to be fighting against it is Naruto and Sakura, although Naruto still falls for it somewhat since his parents are there.

So the fact that it was Naruto, Sakura and Minato as the main characters was right in our faces from the very start. I guess this is what you miss out on when you don't know any japanese.

I'm still pretty sure that Kushina will play the greatest support role in this movie, along with Kakashi since he appears in the trailer as well.

I'm also very exited for the imminent fan service, and you all know which character I'm talking about.

What do you think Pierot will do? That they will change Sakura with Hinata when it comes to sharing the genjutsu with Naruto, they're not going to interfere with a movie project that Kishi himself has written the story. They will sit back and let him do the movie.
