I want to just want to highlight this part because it's so true: "All the reasons you might have shipped NaruHina or SasuSaku were tossed out, and what you were given was a universe where the reasons you were told it shouldn’t happen occurred."

 

Even Naruhina fans don't seem to care about her character.

 

Isn't the main theme of the series was to become stronger and becoming acknowledged by others. In other words, to be connected to this world and not being lonely anymore.

 

Hinata was an outcast and considered as a failure  even by her own dad. Naruto empathized with her and encouraged the creepy girl to prove everyone that they are wrong about her. The rock lee spin off actually showed a chapter where she was finally able to defeat Hannabi when the odds were totally against her. If Kishi actually cared about her character, Hinata should have become the leader of her clan and put an end to the curse family tradition and Neji being the co leader. With chapter 700, Hinata did not learn anything much like the other female characters. Naruhina fans only caring about her love interest and not her character is the worst ending that she could have gotten.

Mine is this: I don't consider the ending or the pairings canon.

 

NH: Plausible and I like it, but not treated with respect by the writer. It could hav benefited from more development.

 

SS: This is abuse. This is Sakura making excuses so that Sasuke is worthy enough to mate. This is Sakura forgiving murder attempts and mind rape. Unacceptable and never canon.

 

Story: You have a hero who fails at being father, is passed over for Hokage despite being the 2nd most powerful ninja alive, fails to defeat his rival in a 1 on 1 contest, and gives up on his dream of confessing to the girl that he clearly loves which is a point that was directly from panels in the manga.

 

Sasuke: Steals the spotlight from everyone, even the main character. Apologizes to the most loyal girl in the manga who "loved" him (cringe), and then runs off after having a possible love child with her or someone else.

 

Moral of the story which is the most important part of a story: Broken Aesops, morals, and dreams all around. 

 

The thing is that whatever his intentions were...he f**cked up.

Nobody won the pairing wars because no matter how you look at it it is f**cked up and terrible. If SS and NH were intended from the beginning, then he did a terrible job of them. making Naruto be in love with Sakura the whole time until the very last second...Heck, he could still be in love with her and Hinata is the "back-up plan." Their relationships are not a happy one and really people need to realize something. If a father is too busy over his work rather than his own family to the point that he even eats alone it means 1 of 2 things:

1. Naruto hates the life he has and he feel like there is an emptiness he cannot fill.
2. His home life is terrible. I can see Naruto being unable to go home because there are fights or there are problems. Naruto staying at work late because he can't take being there and refuses to go home....

The two of you should stop making such good posts so I don't feel guilty for not having any likes left.

Maybe the ending was truly switched... maybe he drew the fine page ages ago and then decided to change it up

 

He knew about this movie for 2 years so it is possible and the ending doesn't give much away about the other chapters besides the pairings.

Gangbang clones, can't go wrong with that, but I'm sure she would have preferred the fact that he actually gave a kitten about her feelings and desires versus his own

Agreed, its honestly sad to see so many people saying SCREW IT, leaving the forum and acting like this part of their life never happened. Just because we had a kitten ending doesn't ruin the good parts we DID have.

oh another thing that bothered me in 700... He spent many page about the gokage meeting... But who kittening cares about that?

Who kittening cares if the new raikage is Darui?

Who kittening cares if the new mizukage is Choujirou?

Who kittening cares if the new tsuchikage is that foul-mouthed oonoki's grandchild, Kurotsuchi?

 

Really, guys.... the gokage meeting feels like a huge waste of time, a filler manga... He should have used the excuse  of Gaara visiting Konoha for Temari and take advantage of this for taking a sake with the new hokage. But, instead he chose to show a kittening and useless gokage meeting.

& I am 99%- no. 100% sure kishi gave up on NS for the money. That was it.

Editors convinced him to make NH SS canon for the ratings & $

& this is why, I AM SO FREAKIN SURE GUYS, why he made the ending kitten.

That was intentional.

I'm pretty sure he hates his own ending. It's like he wanted people to hate it too. lol

So idk, but somehow I feel a little bit better. Cause it just proves how illogical the pairings are & how miserable the characters are with their fate. Meaning, naruto & Sakura.

coulda've been a konoha 11 reunion. It would be better.

it could even have  a panel of team seven smiling together at the end of it

as far as I know, not... manga can be ended even suddenly sometimes. Besides, the worst thing is that the production of THE LAST started in december 2013, so Kikitten had in his mind the NH ending and he still made the CPR and other crap.

Let's be real when it comes down to it we really should of kind of known this would happen. Kishi is a highly sexist writer who as a whole has the men do most of the work and get most of the development. The women are always weaker and left on the sidelines and more focused on romance. This means that the one thing he allows the women get in the end is the one they like. The men not named Obito do not take romance as seriously and are able to get over their crush. Since Hinata and Sakura liked Naruto and Sasuke he decided to let them accomplish this even if it means Naruto simply get's over Sakura since he is a guy and doesn't care as much. For Sakura the most incriminating thing pointed toward SasuSaku was the team seven dreams.  Naruto accomplished his to become Hokage, Sasuke killed Itachi, and Kishi figured why not have Sakura also accomplish her's and get with Sasuke. He didn't care if it was merely the childish crush of a little girl with mostly negative development throughout.
