You could tell she's ashamed of the latest work.
Pretty much every voice actor is ashamed of working on Naruto by this point. Even perhaps Nana Mizuki.

Well, I disagree. Not that I've seen or heard her performance from UNS4, but Kate is SS throughout (or at least acts the part in real life), just like her Japanese counterpart.
There was actually a time where she didn't hide her disappointment in Sasuke, with one time, at a convention of sorts, actually playing out a marriage proposal with Sasuke's VA and flat our rejecting him (as Shippuuden Sakura), because he left her and went down a path of revenge.
But that obviously changed later on... as taken directly from her Facebook page:
Hi everyone!
As promised, here is the music video i just made. it's a love song i wrote and performed and it goes out to sasuke from sakura with love : )
CHA!!!!
Now this could be nothing more than fan service, but goes out to prove it, that she wouldn't intentionally under-perform the given scenes.
As to what the actual truth is? Well we'll probably never find out.
We may have years, we may have hours, but sooner or later we all push up flowers.

You don't bite the hand that feeds you. At the moment we are no longer feeding her through Naruto, but SS and nH however are. From what I recall several people have talked to VAs in Naruto privately and most of them have stated privately/off the record that they did not like the ending. But they are not going to go public with their displeasure because Naruto is a job for them. A job that has been paying them well for the past 12 years by this point.

All too true, although I tend not to take such stories, traveling from mouth to mouth, as a fact or for granted.
I know the sources for such things are impossible to proof-check, so I just treat them as gossip with a slight possibility of them actually being true.
It goes without saying that the VAs shouldn't publicly badmouth the product they're 'selling', but I still find Kate's song in this context an overkill, it certainly wasn't necessary of her to write one, and dedicate it to the SS.
She did it, because she wanted to do it, plain and simple - which is good and well, don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for her and her line of work.
I've said it many times however and will stand by this to the very end: In years gone by, from what I've read and seen, the only constant in the NS side of the ring was Junko.
I may be wrong here, but seeing a video of one of the recording sessions for RtN, she's not just acting the part, she actually cares for her character.
In this regards she reminds me of Yeardley Smith (VA of Lisa Simpson) who said that Lisa has become a major part of her life, even outside the imaginary world of Simpsons.

So she could've written that song to give herself hope that thing would turn out alright for Sakura in the end.
I'm not sure how much work their left for the English VAs to dub (seeing that SP refuses to end the bloody anime), but her being depressed or lack of interest in her acting because of the pairing is not going to help her get through it. Also that attitude could possibly negatively affect her career. So it is best to convince one-self that things will turn out for the best and someone knows what their doing with Sakura's story. The few that can't believe that even if they tried would be Kishimoto and Junko.

Well the english dub trailer is out:
and honestly it wasn't all that bad, kinda curious to seeing the English dub since I've seen the others in dub to.
Which I wanna say based on the trailers I feel there is some effort being put into this as opposed to The Last for the dub, but that might be because the old generation, except for Naruto and Sasuke, play such a tiny role in the movie.
Release date: March 28th.

Why does Naruto still sound like a pre-teen? He honestly should have a new VA given he's in his thirties now...

Honestly she still worked for a teenage Naruto same with Junko. Not the same for a adult though. Honestly they should just get Minato or Obito Va or someone else.

I remember hoping English dub for part 2 Naruto would change. Sadly, I was wrong.
I remember hoping back then Naruto would get a more mature voice, because while I like Maile Flanagan's voice for part 1 Naruto it doesn't work for part 2.

After 2 years or probably less, I had this movie on hold because I wasn’t exactly ready to go back on anime. Plus, it’s Naruto, so what am I missing, right? But seriously, I didn’t want anything left incomplete, including the ones that I find it terrible or mediocre. I don’t drop anime, believe it or not. It’s good…yet a curse. Anyway, in the advent of Boruto series making its debut on television, because why not, I decided to get this out of the way. After watching it, I can say it was okay. It’s certainly better than The Last (oh that shameless pun…) I won’t go over in depth since it’s an old movie and everyone knows what it contains.
Truth be told, this movie had a potential to be good, like solid good, have the third act didn’t happen the way it did. It’s a shame since the movie had one set of focus that I wouldn’t say it’s great, but it was consistent and could have gone for a stronger message. It’s basically another missed mark of Kishimoto’s writing. As for the concept of Chunnin Exam, it is a plot that could have been done in an arc length more so than a movie, but the idea is to capture the nostalgia feeling, even if there are mixed things.
The main focus is on Boruto, of course, but you won’t get to see other characters that much in display, which is disappointing because if I want to get prepared for them, it didn’t do the job. On the other hand, perhaps this series wasn’t intended for a sequel, so that could be the reason. Boruto is okay but nothing special, even with a different set goal such as another Sasuke, because he’s the protagonist. His character could have gone better if the third act didn’t go the way it did. Yes, I will get to it very soon.
The action is entertaining to watch, due to the nature actually capture some of the better traits of the series. I would say the Dragon Ball-esque mode was entertaining to watch as well, mainly with its presentation. The overall presentation is pretty good and solid all around. It’s clear that they want to use these animators for action oriented moment, even if it is over the top. Still, give credit where it due.
There are a couple of problems I have. I did have a hard time to stay up for its plot. I feel the atmosphere is rather plain or too calmed. It’s not as lively as it should be and I can’t say it’s because of bland environment. I’m not asking for them to crack a joke, even when they do. It just seems a bit dramatic for its own good.
My main issue comes from the third act. The third act seems to erase the first two acts in terms of subplot focus of father-son bonding. The resolve was rather inserted to get out of the way, more so than what we deserved for all that patience. Another point is how it somewhat wants to diminish the subplot of the “evil” scientist. It didn’t even get resolved in a proper manner. It just they do stuff and reset things. I have no idea what’s the payoff.
The villains were being build-up from the first two acts, but in the third, they’re easily disappointing. It starts with the usual “baddies shows up and kick everyone’s ass,” but the next time they fight, they quickly become unimpressive. It’s a quick burial done by the Kages. One of the funniest moments, unintentionally mind you, is the beat down by Naruto and Sasuke. It’s fan service, but it’s a cool sight to see. I say fan service because they beat down the main villain, I honestly forgot the name, and once the scientist shows up, everything literally reset, only now the villain looks strong. In short, the fight was entirely pointless.
The ending is so-so. It could have been stronger if the ending conflict between Naruto and Boruto was much more convincing. On the other hand, it’s still baffling on why Boruto joined with the Kages in a dangerous mission. In fact, he got plot device into the spotlight, which was done silly and only made the villain a total fool. Some would say that this is definitive conclusion to Naruto. You can sort of say that but it’s more of a special treat for those who have support the series, not like the recent Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie.
In the end, it was an okay movie. If you like the eye candy, you’ll get some here. If you’re hoping for an enticing plot, it’s not here. It’s a movie that did have some good ideas, but fall short on delivery while manage to provide the entertaining action set pieces. I mean if you see Naruto as flash with no substance, so it should feel right at home.

Yeah, the recent Yu-Gi-Oh! film, Dark Side of Dimensions, is really only for those who have been with Yu-Gi-Oh! since at least the manga of the Duel Monsters arc as that's what it is following; basically like more longtime and/or "hardcore" fans rather than casual fans.
For those who have only seen the (dub) anime of the Duel Monsters arc, Dark Side of Dimensions would come off as really confusing and plothole-ish with Kaiba's continuing obsession with wanting to defeat Yugi/Atem in a Duel and suddenly seeming to not remember Atem no longer being around; such viewers wouldn't realize that, in the manga, Kaiba was not there to witness the final Ceremonial Duel between Yugi and Atem, and Atem's soul finally passing onto the afterlife. Only in the anime was Kaiba there to see it happen and acknowledging Yugi and Atem, thus finally putting their rivalry to rest.
Though, as far as I could find, it's never explained exactly why Dark Side of Dimensions was made to follow the manga end rather than anything related to the anime (aside from being Yu-Gi-Oh!'s 20th anniversary).

The dub is finally out, and I guess since it's the final Naruto movie I might as well make my peace with it given how i'd seen every movie in both dub and subs.
The Last being the worst in terms of voice acting aside from the shhiitt story.
Again, compare that to Road to Ninja and you'll see quality skyrocket.
Anyway I might d a video on this, it just all depends.
i've survived this long with all the kitten post ending's given me, and so far for me at least Boruto the movie (Subs) was the least cringy post-ending content so lets see if it happens again with the dub.

Wish me luck!
