I doubt Kishi or SP gave any thought to the pre-established timeline when they decided on the chunnin exam filler. It will be a way to subtly pimp NH and SS while showing how Hinata is a super ninja.

Lots of things were throwing out the window before the finale. That's why asspull was increased tenfold.

She's featured in the filler? That's hysterical and totally unsurprising. The whole manga was apparently about the Uchiha and Hyuuga. Cool.

One things I personally hated about how this finale and the interviews that followed is how they're essentially saying naruto was never in love with Sakura in the first place. They can't have naruto look like a scumbag so to avoid contradicting what they said about changing affections from one to another person, they make naruto never love her. I won't deny crushes can last a long time seeing how long inos and lees crushes lasted, but with everything naruto and her did together, his attempts at asking her on dates, his POAL, Sai and Yamatos assessments, how his love for Sakura became a plot point in the freaking series, and the fact that he's the freaking main character, I would think his feelings for someone would hold more sway over the plot than a side characters feelings for him or his love interests feelings for someone who by kaka shi'a standards should be considered worse than scum

Yup! They try to make Naruto not look like a scumbag- but SP's and Kishi's attempt backfired, and now Naruto is even worse than scum.

For real? Ugh, messing up the facts again -.- I should maybe give those episodes a try to- after I've seen the first episode of Season 2 TG Btw, I've posted some spoilers in the TG thread ;)

 

Yeah i was like well I gave it a shot, and now I'm just going to say yeah no more even though there wasn't any pairing bs going on at the moment based on episode 1. Hmm alright, I'll definitely check out the thread.

 

 

What else is new? Since when logic needs to exist? Hell, they already messed up Kakashi becoming a Chunnin timeline in canon no less, why ask now.

 

Tell me about it, and you know it really sucks to the series stoop this far from where once stood. I mean rewatching the original Naruto  SP didn't mess with the source material whatsoever, yeah there was a hug filler arc after the main story ends for Part 1. They just seemed like they were doing the right thing back then.  I wonder what it was that led them to that decision to focus their attention on Hinata? Then again I think I already know that it has to do something with her.

Don't know. At least it will be over for good (if anime ends as well) by summer. Then whatever Kishi wants to do...Screw it. Lol.

Not really sure, The only thing I can this work is if focuses on the new generation and less on the old one. Kinda like with ATLA and LoK where you had aang and his group be the stars of The Last Airbender and they become like side characters in Legend of Korra. So I guess what I'm trying to is she'll probably be in it, but she won't have an impactful moment throughout the spin off. If that's the case then I'll give it a read because honestly I'm with following having another story revolve around Naruto. I've heard people saying how everything will be happy go lucky and honestly I think their should be family drama going on between not only on SS (for obvious reasons), but also NH as well. I'm still slightly holding onto my theory about Naruto being depressed about neglecting his family and choosing work because things didn't go his way with Sakura. I highly doubt it at this point, but you never know.  Besides even though this story is on his son I'm like just see what the first chapter is like and make a stance on it then.

 

Though I will approve of Boruto putting the graffiti that says kitten father on Naruto's statue face after seeing what he became in The Last. I will give him that much credit   , and you guys can say what you want but the only person in that new generation that I find somewhat interesting is Sarada, I know some people will point out some facts about her, but she could be something more in the spin off. I know some of you are gonna feel like oh but this and that... (not to trying to offend anyone here cause all of you guys are cool) but I'm just sharing how I feel in regards to this topic alone.

I think all kids get the focus. Looking at the ending, all have same amount of spotlight. If anything, it could be slice of life story. Eh, whatever. The damage is done, so here would be just what it is: a series that go longer would utterly failed unless pull KHR route.
