Thats a good point we all know kishi wanted to stop and i heard somewhere he wanted to end naruto after the pain fight. So this could be the result of kishi wanting out and rushing while this new writer was coming in, i just get the feeling that there was a lot of things going on behind the scenes.

Is this really true? He wanted to end it there? Then I guess it is the new writer's fault that NH/SS happened, huh?

The thing is that whatever his intentions were...he kittened up.

Nobody won the pairing wars because no matter how you look at it it is kittened up and terrible. If SS and NH were intended from the beginning, then he did a terrible job of them. making Naruto be in love with Sakura the whole time until the very last second...Heck, he could still be in love with her and Hinata is the "back-up plan." Their relationships are not a happy one and really people need to realize something. If a father is too busy over his work rather than his own family to the point that he even eats alone it means 1 of 2 things:

1. Naruto hates the life he has and he feel like there is an emptiness he cannot fill.
2. His home life is terrible. I can see Naruto being unable to go home because there are fights or there are problems. Naruto staying at work late because he can't take being there and refuses to go home.

Same with Sasuke and Sakura.
Why won't Sasuke stay home? Why is he a wanderer? Because he probably hates it at his house. He can't stand it.

These kind of relationships will never last in the long and if it does people will look at this girls thinking they are mental.

If NS was the intention and he was forced to change it at the last minute for whatever reason...then it still looks bad because he the ending feels forced and terrible. Those who can't see that really are in denial. Not us. Especially since even neutral fans find problems with it. A lot of fans say that we could have misread it. Okay, but that means more than half the fandom misread the manga and saw it as being bull which means that Kishi sucks at portraying a story ever since the beginning.

No matter how you look at it. No matter what anyone says....it doesn't look good. Nothing fits. Nothing adds up and I hope everyone is pissed by this. I hope Japan is just super angry over this and Naruto The Last just bombs making RtN the most successful Naruto movie out of all of them.

I've thought a lot about NH too, and I honestly don't see the obviousness. Maybe if you JUST look at Part I, you could say it was obvious, but not if you take all 698 chapters into consideration.

Make your own opinion based on what you read.

 

Mine is this: I don't consider the ending or the pairings canon.

 

NH: Plausible and I like it, but not treated with respect by the writer. It could hav benefited from more development.

 

SS: This is abuse. This is Sakura making excuses so that Sasuke is worthy enough to mate. This is Sakura forgiving murder attempts and mind rape. Unacceptable and never canon.

 

Story: You have a hero who fails at being father, is passed over for Hokage despite being the 2nd most powerful ninja alive, fails to defeat his rival in a 1 on 1 contest, and gives up on his dream of confessing to the girl that he clearly loves which is a point that was directly from panels in the manga.

 

Sasuke: Steals the spotlight from everyone, even the main character. Apologizes to the most loyal girl in the manga who "loved" him (cringe), and then runs off after having a possible love child with her or someone else.

 

Moral of the story which is the most important part of a story: Broken Aesops, morals, and dreams all around.
