I've thought a lot about NH too, and I honestly don't see the obviousness. Maybe if you JUST look at Part I, you could say it was obvious, but not if you take all 698 chapters into consideration.

 

I guess NH was weak even during part 1, the only part where it had scenes was during the chunnin exams

NS and SS had the most moments over there

So part 3 will be written by someone else. If so then i guess it explains who's been behind this ending so far...

Thats a good point we all know kishi wanted to stop and i heard somewhere he wanted to end naruto after the pain fight. So this could be the result of kishi wanting out and rushing while this new writer was coming in, i just get the feeling that there was a lot of things going on behind the scenes.
