Apparently according to the people who've seen the movie that's where Sakura thinks "Hinata's so mean."

You know, the whole breast conversation comes across as much more realistic in the movie than the version in the one shot comic- that one just sounds like a 1990's cliched shonen manga scene. (Sorry Kishimoto but that was a "fail", the movie version feels realistic to me, teenage mean girls can be that nasty.) The way Sakura acts in the movie is just far more realistic in that scene. Comparing breast sizes doesn't even cross her mind until Hinata goes all "mean girl" on her, and her first reaction is a Say what? Flat chested, not hardly! But Sakura has self-esteem issues, including about her appearance, and Hinata knows it, she knows she can lord over Sakura about her breast size. (Most girls wouldn't do such a thing, but yandere Hinata would and does- twice in one scene. ) Poor Sakura.

Oh and I knew there was a difference between cup sizes in Japan and the US, and was finally able to find out. Sakura with her fanservice American size B cup breasts is actually a Japanese C cup (which apparently according to the most recent study released this year, is now the new normal cup size for young Japanese women.Sakura is a "normal" Japanese girl in that department too ) Hinata's what looks like an Amercan DD to me is a Japanese H cup. And Tsunade's (in case you were curious) that looks a GG/H in American cup sizes to me (when Kishimoto draws them at their largest) is a Japanese M cup. When he's not fanservicing Tsunade, she looks more like an American F cup, which is a Japanese I cup. Tenten's American C cup is a Japanese D cup. In the US cup sizes go up by 1 inch per cup size, in Japan it's 2 cm- which is right around 3/4 of an inch, so the larger the cup size the more difference between Japanese cup sizes and American cup sizes.

I hope there is more back story to Memna in the movie, such as how did he fall under dark Kyubi's influence and become a rogue nin? Why did none of the village go after him?

I could be wrong, but I heard that she told him that a true hero will come and save everyone, then she gets captured. Naruto was there to hear I think, and then, he off to save her. I got it from TokyoKit, but again, I could be wrong as maybe he only paraphrase, which still could be a good thing.

@mangareader: Don't worry about it. It's only proven that she wants Menma all to herself, hence the aggression. It doesn't really matter anyway, because Menma is evil and don't care about anything, which speculate that he killed Jiraiya. Funny, Kishi managed to dodge a bullet by not putting AU! Sakura in the scene. It will be much interesting. If that promo episode is connected, then we can know that she at least aware of AU! Sasuke playboy tactic. It's just Menma that we don't know.

This more than anything has got to be one of the things that excites me the most about the summaries so far -- the final battle making Naruto and Sakura sound like they are fighting as a team, both giving and taking. I cannot wait to see them fight together!!

Which remind me, I heard AU! Kiba is the one that brought up the idea that they were dating. Sheesh, Kishi, how many times you have people thinking they're dating.

Well, Kiba and Hinata think they're dating for sure, and if that one fan art/ character sketch of Kushina is any indication, she may as well.

Btw, I don't know if this brought up but Naruto seems to be normal around Hinata, knowing her love for him. I just thought of that now.

Even in manga canon, Naruto acts completely normal around Hinata after her confession -- knowing that Hinata loves him didn't change how he views her or feels about her. What his reaction to RtN Hinata shows is that he's not even attracted her physically. Hinata just does not do it for Naruto on any level romantically or non-platonically.

As far as the RtN!Hinata and Menmap There's absolutely no indication one way or another how Menma feels about RtN!Hinata, because we never see the two actually interact, or have Menma think of her (apparently anyway). Its a moot point regardless because what the AU characters feel or do have no bearing on how they would act in the real world. Naruto doesn't romantically like either version of Hinata, and that's the only thing that matters.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's that person that will get the big let down and wonder how it happened. If they aren't making rude trolling comments in your blog just leave them alone. The sasusaku shippers don't tend to troll as much as the naruhina shippers. I tend to cut them a bit more slack because of that. (not all sasusaku shippers ship naruhina. Some sasusaku shippers buy into the myth that a good woman can reform the most horrible of men- it's what leads women to get involved with abusive men in the real world- look at how gaga some women are going over 50 Shades of Gray....)

Well, hybristophilia is pretty much a requirement in erotic novels. Having said that, the whole appeal behind them is that the leading female is "special" and spared or saved by the abusive leading male. With that in mind, it's hard to ship Sasuke with anyone.

I realize you were probably asking a rhetorical question, but I'm going to reply anyway.

Pairing fans will continue to support their ships until they are officially sunk. Because the movie isn't canon, they feel they still have hope -- primarily because they are looking for hope, and manage to see it in things that rationally and logically do not actually support their ship. They want to believe. It's that simple.

And history teaches us that hardcore pairing fans will continue to deny reality and support their ships even after -- sometimes long after -- they are officially sunk. For example, even after JK Rowling said that Harry/Hermione shippers were "delusional" and that she had left "anvil-sized hints" that the final pairings would be Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, fans who wanted something else either ignored her or chose to hate her and the series because she disappointed them by failing to support their skewed interpretation. Rowling tried to tell them but they refused to listen, just as we suspect Kishimoto is trying to tell his fans now.

Mud-slinging, denial, desperation, straw man arguments, and tantrums are a part of shipping wars in any popular fandom. It's something you just have to accept.

For the heads up, once NS is confirmed, first be ready for shipwreck. Then, they will act like it never happen and pretend that fanfic is canon. It's nothing bad. It's just a last thing to do before moving on. It takes a while to move on.

If one pairing does become canon in the end, I'm sure other shippers would be upset and will criticize Kishimoto for it. However, I doubt anyone would pretend fanfiction is canon; that would be an admission of stupidity.

I think deep down many women can relate the to last in some way. Women are sadly still socialized to hate themselves- just because they are female, and see being female as being something negative (I really see this in a highly overt way amongst the most extreme yaoi or western slash shippers- they express outright hatred at anything female.

Perhaps women are socialised to hate themselves; or maybe society hates women who have an opinion -- which every woman has once in a while. BUT, if a woman dares to say something controversial, no matter how logical or respectful she tries to be, she will be forever labelled as "opinionated" or "stubborn." My friends who like yaoi seem to enjoy the idea of avoiding both the "crippling weak damsel" and "opinionated wench" altogether.

Cliches or perhaps more aptly named tropes are storytelling devices. It's how a writer uses it that is the key. Quite honestly, I think both the one-shot and movie has absolutely no difference in the onsen scene in execution. Both of their execution are just fine. Ciardha, I think you need to try looking it at an author's viewpoint, instead of letting your political beliefs cloud/blind you from seeing what the author is doing.

After the praise they shown and push NS down, they asked for trouble. Let's face it, that moment with Sasuke giving roses to other girls is without a doubt an anti message to SS, and it's not me that's saying it. The crazy part is this movie did more good to us than them. The interview from AKFG stated about waiting to see how Sakura will develop for Naruto, Kishi's focus on their bonds over everything else (minus parents of course), top choices of comments from around the world contains two NS comments, which acknowledge Kishi's work in terms of romance part of story, etc. So yeah, it did scare people in other fandoms. I had a person that pray that Kishi don't make NS canon. I won't argue with him nor rub it in his face. I keep my thoughts inside and share where it's needed, not like spreading like a troll.

She obviously hasn't seen it, because she was talking specifically about the trailers, not to mention she had the order of events wrong. There are a lot of posts like that on Tumblr, and there are probably more ridiculous comments on Youtube. Just ignore them and enjoy what we have.

No, Jenskott had the same opinion about that bit in the manga one shot and he's a European guy. It's annoying, tiresome and horrendously cliche. I'm a bit disappointed to see Kishimoto use it in such an rulebook stereotyped way (He usually doesn't write the very tiresome cliche on autopilot- it was weak writing there. I think it comes from the obvious overworked condition we saw him in the movie promo interviews. He even admits it was very hard in one of the interviews and said something about Oda warning him about that. ) Jenskott and I both have many years of anime and manga viewing and reading behind us- it was disappointing to see something that looked like Kishimoto wasn't even trying to do something different from the way overdone stereotype that was all over 80's and 90's shonen anime and manga there. His version of it in the movie is so much better done- the twist on the old cliche to make it far more realistic- what we usually see from him.

It's good there will be no manga chapter for him to finish for a week- the poor guy clearly needs the rest.

The only problem now is that the manga isn't over, it still has about over a year to get finished (it may last until 2014). The fact that we still have to wait that long for the series to end, and probably the major plot lines to get resolve, just frustrate me. We haven't seen Naruto interact with Sakura for almost three years now, and the possibility that we may have to wait longer to actually see them talk together, (let alone actually get together) makes my patience run thin. Not only that, but development for the characters may still take a different route, he can still give Narunina development before the series is over (doubt it). But then again that could also mean he's going to take his time with the resolutions (including Naruto and Sakura's relationship).

It's frustrating to have to wait so long for NS to be canon, but I understand Kishimoto, because he doesn't want people to drop his manga because their favorite pairing didn't happen. True, Kishimoto could decide to go the NH route, but I don't think he's going to and I don't see why he should.

The fact that Kishi could change his mind actually made me slightly worried about the movie. (In fact, the possibility of Kishi changing his mind is pretty much the only thing that worries me about NS, although the possibility is not big imo.) If there were tons of NH and SS in the movie, I would be worried about Kishi trying to stuff the idea of those pairings down our throats. I wonder what the person who believed Kishimoto changed his mind about NS thinks now...

Let's not worry about what N/H will do etc etc. We've got a ton of NS fanservice in this movie from what I see, so we really should discuss that instead of bringing up other fandoms! It only leads to bashing and conflict

On another note, I'm curious as to which spoilers are true and which spoilers bend the truth. Some spoilers are saying that Sakura does kick major arse and others are saying she's defeated very easily- unless I'm confusing fights or something!

we dont know but i think he's being controlled by tobi since all began he was on the village because if menma was a criminal naruto woul go to the jail right away, but no his parents treated him like he was not evil.
i think AU! sakura loves menma because their roles changed.

The Menma Hinata thing is only NH desesperation if we notice after the spoiler were out, none on the Rookies mention or advice Sakura that Hinata and Menma were dating and Kiba someone who is always around Hinata ask Naruto if he and Sakura were dating. In the Mens bathroom Kiba never ask Naruto what he was doing going out with Sakura knowing that he was dating Hinata and to make it even more questionable was the fact that Hinata was very vocal about it and no one, but no one questions Naruto's behavior.
So what I think Kishi did was show the readers Hinata desire to make Naruto hers just like in the Manga without its consent but with a more aggressive actitude.
