It still gets me mad. The ending is the most important part of the story and Kishimoto kittened it up.
THE ENDING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY DAMMIT.
People will argue that Naruto deserved to move on...but didn't Sakura as well..perhaps 100% more?
There were two outcomes:

* Sakura moves on and forgets the guy that treated her like kitten to be with the one who truly loves her.

* Sakura stays with her would-be murderer and Naruto moves on getting with the girl he never loved.

Kishi chose the latter.

I think it's time people stop it with the silly conspiracy theories of Kishi selling out quite literally for money. It's those kinds of posts that attract trolls that make fun of you. Don't. Kishimoto is quite well off after writing one of the most successful manga of all time. He's not hurting for money, and he didn't sell out.

The more likely reality is that Kishimoto or his editors came to realise that while NaruSaku and NaruHina were butting heads over second place, SasuSaku was still the most popular ship, and ending the manga with NaruHina and SasuSaku would please the most greatest number of readers. It's possible Kishimoto changed his mind easily, and it's possible he capitulated under editorial pressure. The latter would perhaps explain his blatant refusal to give Hinata more panel time and why he focused the majority of Sakurs's panel time on Naruto one way or another.

It doesn't really matter. As a fan of Naruto, the manga and the character, and NS, I feel betrayed. Kishimoto copped out in the end and that hurts, and it will forever taint my fond memories of this series and the characters in it. The endgame pairings aren't the only reason why I feel this ending was a disservice to his work, but it is chief among them.

My only hope remaining going forward is closure of some kind. Either in The Last or by some interview. I just want him to acknowledge NaruSaku and put an end to the smug pricks of other fandoms telling us there was never anything there.

because sakura ended up getting pregnant by someone not named naruto. but let's ignore the fact that naruto went and got the future hyuuga heiress pregnant, twice!

I've been listening all the time ( both IRL and in the internet) that NH was OBVIOUS since the beginning...im starting to doubt myself and my interpretation skills...maybe kishi was just playing us all along all the time.

 

 

Do you guys really think he wanted SS and NH since the beginning  ?

We need a fic where instead of calling her honest confession a lie, he goes "MMM....OKAY I ACCEPT THIS." and wins her love by being his awesome self.

By awesome self, I mean the person he was before he lost his balls somewhere during the war.

NO. If he wanted NH from the beginning, why barely ever show them together? why separate SS for over half the series? Instead the two he chose to picture close to one another was NS. 

I don't know what he did to scramble his brains after Sakura's big speech during the War, but I know my cognitive skills are all in good order.   Hell, I could write better drunk.

I ASSURE you, that's a bunch of bullcaca. It was obvious he wanted NS.

But...guess what? He ended up being a sell out. Temptation temptation.

I've thought a lot about NH too, and I honestly don't see the obviousness. Maybe if you JUST look at Part I, you could say it was obvious, but not if you take all 698 chapters into consideration.
