Kishi said "This movie's about love" but the word for love that he used was "ren'ai" which means romantic love.
Ugh, my theory about this being more about friendship and bonds went out the window.

Romantic love doesn't mean happy love all the time.
Does Hinata look happy in any panels shes shown in? No.

Kishi also has no control over the advertisement.
He could be going "Where the heck is Sakura!?" right now too.
And than if he is a NS fan himself he will be like "they just gonna burn the cinema after film that is NS"

"Just let me Purge!!!" - Kishimoto, probably.

The man personally saw to it that this movie has a more worthwhile story with something at stake versus the rehashed filler lineup that was the first five movies. It's because of him that the percentage of fans who read the manga only are showing any interest in Pierrot's re-envisioned anime. The people in charge of the advertisements should be turning to him for guidance and support on bended knee.
iirc, didn't we hear something about kishi working the animators real hard in rtn? if that's the case, then he should be well aware on how they're going about advertising the movie to empty the wallets and credit cards.

You guys aware of the fact that Studio Deen animated Fate stay night unlimited blade works, right?
Here is what they could have done for this movie.

If that's true, he's giving Pierrot quite a bit of leeway to do as they please and flaunt whoever they want for as long as possible. At least, that's the gist of what I understand from their campaign scheme leading up to RtN with that promiscuous Hinata and Sasuke (who, by the way, were only seen in the movie for 5 to 10 minutes top, iirc).

So it's definitely confirmed that Naruto's "wait for me" quote is for Hinata. He says her name in another trailer before stating it. I cant believe NH was right about that and the scarf crap. The one thing they were wrong about is the prego stuff so we can laugh at them for that XD

As I see it, Naruto *could* develop feelings for Hinata and then Kishi killed her of (which explain the poster with the red scarf -memento of dead Hinata-), then he can still have NS at the end and not contradict his sacred parallels.
But of course it needs massive OOCness from Naruto part and conveniently forgetting about NS development in part 2.
Of course, I'm sure the Hinatafans would be as equally pissed off, as I assume most of them rather have her single but alive by the end.

It isn't over til the movie comes out. Til then, any declaration of victory from either fandom is premature. (Well, unless the manga does resolve pairings. I'm not sure if it will or not at this point.)

renai doesn't mean "falling in love" or whatever.... Renai means simpy "romance"/"romantic love"... I didn't write this because it was so obvious. Love or romantic love doesn't change.

^Kishi himself said it's romance.
This movie is pretty much canon, just like RTN. Majority here said RTN is canon, therefore we have to acknowledge The Last is canon as well. This one even more so because not only did Kishi say its heavily connected to the manga, but also because it's the end of the series and they are promoting it to death.
Still possible for this "love story" to end with Naruto saying shes a nice girl with NH not canon. Love stories don't always end well.
