But still Balkan and Europe are different. Infact....Balkan region was one of the reasons due to which World War 2 took place!
Geographically speaking Balkans are in Europe, they're just across Italy on the other side of the Adriatic sea. They are not part of the EU save for Croatia which entered in 2013, but many are candidates to enter the Union.
Historically speaking...well...they're pretty much a student's nightmare, between the Austro-Ungaric empire, Ottoman's occupation, Russian aspirations, World War 1 and then Tito's Yugoslavia (not to mention the 90's wars and other various issues) the situation has been quite complicated for centuries.
But yea, geographically? Most definitely Europe. politically? Work in Progress.
LOL So not true not all of Europe is like that but i take it for calling me fancy XD . Heck Your country has allot of culture , ancient history , tales, geography and what not mine has to but my point was unlike Peru mine its not well known and when I tell people from where I'm from they look at me in funny way and confused

Well they aren't different we still fall under Europe but true about the rest , its just that the Balkan is the most f**cked up part of it they don't like us very much and we are neglected by Europe there allot of problems involving us due to allot of history .
I knows yah county. 
I knows it's a candidate for the EU, that there are still some problems with Greece for naming issues and I knows that in my language Macedonia means Fruit Salad.
