Anytime I hear somebody say they thought the ending was good, I know that they're just fanboys/girls who read the story because of their pairings rather than the story itself. To them, the end justifies the means so the fact that the entire story had to be trashed and retconned in order to make their pairings possible means nothing to them. NS was special to me, but it's not the reason I read the manga. I read the manga because of Naruto and his ideals. The ending was so monumentally bad that even if Kishi made Sakura Naruto's wife but left everything else as is, it would still be a disaster. Worse, in fact, due to the way Naruto treats his kid. Knowing he treated the child he created with his beloved Sakura-chan like that would break my heart. Kishi's a kittening menace.

I agree, I enjoyed the story alot even with all its faults and I felt NS would have become canon without all this happening because they're development was all in part 2 and databooks, so NS fans weren't loud due to the fact that he was going that way and just read the story, not worrying about pairing since it wasn't suppose to be big in shounen but noooo turns out everything we read was naught and the characters are unrecognizable. This is what bugs me the most about this ending and I really want someone to make Kishi feel bad about this, I don't like being mean but this guy gets me irritated and acts like it's ok...I believe I ranted...

they clearly never gave a kitten about the story or characters. Not even the MC himself. it was all about what Hinata-Hime wanted cause she deserved EVERYTHING for being such an angel.

So if sales really are that bad in Japan why does SP keep making it worse by rubbing it in our faces? I know that the manga declined in sales and the movie is plummeting but how is the anime doing?
