Simply because Sasuke is a moron. Naruto is considered the idiot of the story, but he will never be a match for Sasuke's idiocy. The guy is just stupid. He can't think, it's not part of him.

You can try to tell him something, like left is left, but he won't process that. He'll just not even go in the opposite direction, he'll just say that left is purple because that's just how he sees it.

 

Even if Kakashi would've tried to give a beep about his team and actually give some lectures. Sasuke would still go in whatever direction he wants.

Not even "he wants". Pretty much everything Sasuke does throughout the entire series is because he was nudged different directions by other people while thinking it was what he chose.

First, it was his own father (when he started seeing Itachi couldn't be relied on for the coup),

Then, it was Itachi (who ended up pushing Sasuke the completely wrong direction than what he wanted).

Then, it was Orochimaru (promising power).

Then, it was "Tobi" / Obito (the "truth" about Itachi and the Uchiha massacre)

Finally, it was the Four Hokage (the "Curse of Hatred" and "the system").

Sasuke has never had an actual original thought or path for himself since the beginning.

they might screw it up but at least they've actually developed some of the other crush contenders like Mimosa in the course of the story and they aren't just cardboard cutouts with no story or plot relevance.

I totally agree because like I said before, the guy is easily manipulated either from jealously/hatred or his Uchiha pride. The best course of action was leave the dude alone and see what happens because the guy could never think for himself and he needed to learn that.

After Naruto, I don't think anyone wants to trust writers to make their OTPs anymore. I don't blame them. After Naruto I myself have abandoned OTPs in their entirely. I don't care or follow characters in love triangles because I always seem to lose.

Yeah I know that last one hasn;t happened yet, but honestly even if the manga never gets an ending thanks to the writers death am I really to expect Saeko to win? Rei, no matter how much of a spoiled brat she is, would win the contest because she is the first girl, the first love, and more. Even when she treats Takashi like crap and only really got back with him because "Hisashi died."

I know how you feel man. After this debacle you can't really trust anyone anymore on how they will write their own stories, especially any story that is backed from SJ or SP. They could easily ask anyone else to change their stories to please a certain fanbase to make more money or change it because they feel it is best for everybody involved. No, they need to stay out it to avoid this from happening again.


Sasuke is like a puppet. If nobody is pulling his strings, the guy as no idea what to do and seems to have no purpose besides trying to make me hate his guts, which he is good at that.

still doubt it because what they don't tell you is that if that actually became a thing, the internet would become unusable because noone would be able to afford the extra charges on top of already paying for the internet, plus they also don't tell you that the president and his administration are completely against repealing the free open internet, they're all for free open internet and have stated so publicly, so why I ask you would this bill be repealed if the people and the president and his administration are against it? it would be considered unconstitutional to even repeal it, which is why like I said, its most likely a staged attempt to get people to put back into law that censorship bill. the internet is not in danger.

Kakashi also had a role in inflating Sasuke's ego by taking him aside and training him solely, while leaving Naruto and Sakura to their own devices. Kakashi obviously didn't consider that teaching Sasuke an A-Rank Jutsu (emphasizing that it was a technique that only he could accomplish due to his Sharingan) would only magnify Sasuke's sense of self-importance...and would inevitably lead to it crashing and exacerbating Sasuke's inferiority complex and jealousy when he lost to Gaara, while Naruto "The Loser" prevailed.  If Kakashi actually put into practice what he preached about teamwork beyond the mission in Wave and actually tried to touch base with Sasuke instead focusing only on his potential, Sasuke may not have convinced himself that friends were just a crutch and hindrance.

Oh I'm still shipping, regardless. I'm just gonna accept that it might not happen. You know what they say fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. It doesn't mean that I will stop shipping though, it just means I supsect the wool to be pulled over my eyes won't set my hopes up only to be disappointed.

 

That said, Naruto is an exception of where shipping and development don't mean anything for canon couples, nor how well they mesh together. So I wont't let that sour up my experience with shipping. Well not that by itself anyway. And yeah I agree with HSotD, It sounds like Rei only wanted to get back together with Takashi out of convenience that Hisashi died. the cementing factor is how she had the gall to say Takashi let Hisashi die so that he could take her back even though she is drunk. That alone disgusts me, and think that even if she is the designated love interest she has no right to be so "SELF ENTITLED" to Takashi then or get jealous abouth his and Reiko's relationship since she is SO CLEARLY NOT OVER Hisashi

Y'know, I'm gonna be bluntly honest and say that I never gave a crap about the Takashi/Rei/Saeko love triangle in the slightest; he could've been with either one of them and I would've been satisfied. In HoTD, the only pairing I was ever passionate about was Kouta and Saya, especially when they acted as pseudo-parents for Alice.

 

As for shipping itself,   I have a long list of anime couples over the years that were never realized in canon, so I can understand the fear and reluctance to continue that practice. But y'know what? As many times as I've been disappointed, I've also had my faith rewarded. For every NaruSaku and IchiRuki resolution that was taken away from me, I was given a Touken, Erekasa, NaLu, etc. So, even though I've been burned, it has done little to stymie my optimism when it comes to my personal couplings.  So, I'm still holding onto hope, because realistically, not every author is going to be a Kishimoto.

I think NaruSaku is the only couple I've ever shipped religiously. I guess part of the reason was how DESPERATELY the fanbase did not want them to get together, which got me going "huh?" 

 

I honestly feel it was the overall toxicity towards both Sakura and the pairing that got me to the side of NaruSaku. Had they just liked NH hypothetically and been quiet about it, I probably wouldn't have cared that much either way.

 

And I understand why people would be reluctant to ship after Naruto, but as many have said, Kishimoto is the EXCEPTION to the rule. Yes, some people will change the love interest of a series at any given point, but most put SOME work into it and planned it in the first place. Kishimoto just couldn't help himself with his misleads/or say no to his editors (take your pick).

 

I'm just not shipping any more not because I've lost faith in writers, but because the shippers themselves (even of pairings I like) have gone CRAZY. I can't help but feel that because of Kishimoto, he gave everyone the idea "If I am as loud and toxic as possible, I'll get my way!"

 

If a writer asked me "Which of my characters should I pair up?" I would ask "Well, what do you want? There's your answer."

You may be right but what makes you think trump would keep it since he's the one who made pai chairman. Plus pai is being investigate in the fcc. And that it's a 50 -50 split to decide that. That's what I thought to not everyone can afford the internet if those charges happen which would lose money for Verizon and other companies like them.
