I have a question! D:

There is a guy named "TheSage" on Yahoo answer, who is a top contributor, and he mentioned a DVD interview of Kishimoto who I guess came out recently, in which Kishimoto said: "Well, Naruto is like me and Sakura is very much like my wife. If a guy like me can marrry a woman like Sakura than Naruto will marry...." and also that Kishimoto wanted to design Hinata as "frumpy and crumpy"

Does anybody know this interview? Or is ot fake? I already tried to contact TheSage, but he won't answer me :/

Hinata was never a strong fighter. Her role all relied on character mental development, never as a strength wise. She never got a real fight. Well, only in part 1 but that still connects to inspiration and such. I guess it's good to be a medic after all, huh haters...

I didn't know anthing kinda this... Sounds fake to me but I'm not sure anyway...  He shoud post some proof.

The Hinata part is confirmed in databook. As for the first one, I will put in rumor. Ask the person for proof. If true, er why are we worrying again?

When Naruto was in 4 tails mode Orochimaru's sword smashing him against a wall with incredible force didn't even pierce his skin.... Just imagine what it's going to take to hurt Obito. Now do you really think Hinata is going to be useful in that fight? She still hasn't even caught up to Neji.

 

Short answer, no. Hinata isn't going to help at all in this fight.

 

Frankly, no one in the Alliance has anything that could damage Tobi in his present state except maybe Sakura and Killer Bee. It's understandable that Sakura would choose to remain back since she is the most effective medical operative on the battlefield and therefore an invaluable asset to the common soldier should they become injured (that and the fact she has no means of protecting against or reacting to Tobi's swift attacks), but Killer Bee has no reason to abstain from battling. He's a jinchuuriki himself, one who has tamed their bijuu and whose basic abilities are impressive in their own right. Not only that, Samehada is in his possession; a sentient blade capable of shredding the flesh of opponents with ease, consuming ninjutsu, and transferring it to the user for restorative purposes. Bee is without a doubt the equal of Naruto and Sasuke's current level. He's earned the privilege to stand alongside them against Tobi, but for whatever reason Kishi feels it necessary to restrict him in the back until the Alliance exploits a moment of weakness in the Jubi jichuuriki's defences. 

 

I digress though. A jinchuuriki's durability doesn't increase simply for the fact that their chakra and stamina is coalescing with the bijuu's. If that argument were true then Naruto in his basic state would be an impenetrable wall of flesh and bone whose physical stats are on par with a senjutsu user's. The reason for Tobi's imperviousness is connected to how he is able to materalise and reconstruct the natural elements into a barrier that has been shown to be infallible against some of the most powerful ninjutsu used thus far. It was only because of this unexpected strategic maneuver formulated by Minato and Tobirama that Naruto and Sasuke were unaware of that they have finally managed a direct hit on Tobi.

 

It's almost offensive in nature that people would utter Hinata's name beside Sakura's. It implys that her character status is on par with Sakura's. Why is that so? Her fighting techniques are greatly inferior compared to the assorted Hyuga fodder obscurely hidden in the faces of survivors of this horrific battle. She has no personal conflicts or relevance with either Madara or Tobi. It just seems like she's the main reconnaissance operative because of how familiar she is to the fanbase. Logically, Hiashi would be the more effective scout to acquire updates on the battle situation from, but for the sake of appealing to the fans Kishi has taken it upon himself to mount Hinata on a pedestal beside Sakura.

Would any of you say the the the majority fanbase is running the manga in terms of forcing kishi to have said character/aspect consistantly forced into the manga story to satisfy their needs?

The majority fanbase isn't praising Hinata. In Japan Hinata is just another side character for the most part.

Nah, I don't think the fanbase could successfully force Kishi into making the story satisfy their own needs. Sure, some parts of the fanbase are loud which can cause Kishi to provide them with tasteful fanservice, but I have faith that Kishi is not the type of person to change his story to merely please the louder fans. It's his story and I have faith that he will write his story the way he wants to-not the way his fans want him to.

Not really. He didn't do any justice in the movie. He will give you fan service, sure, but never change the story for your favor. In fact, he probably take the advantage to make his story plot point stronger. For example, whether it's true or not:

Kishi: I guess I can confirm Hinata loves Naruto. On the other hand, it could work well since this matches the theme of this arc as well as her finally developing. Hm, goes well. Oh! I got it! More hints for romance for my Naruto and Sakura. My wife will be proud.

It's an example but nevertheless, he's only doing his job. I wonder how many editors tried their luck to change something.

That's really unlikely. Every day there's some new "Kishi interview" brought by a random person with absolutely no source. Anyway, if this by any chance is true then don't worry. Soon it will be everywhere.

Hinata was placed by Kishi to relay some info to Sakura, and we have to see if it will mean more for Hinata's character or not. On a side note I thought byakugan only saw the chakra lines so it is a bit impossible for a byakugan user to see facial expressions.

And I agree with NS4L3G if he decides to develop a character he does it properly not just for the sake of fan service.

Yep, iremember that 1st april joke with an interview, i mean it's not really hard to rip an DVD and upload the interview but Kishi avoids give direct answers about pairings in general.

But i do feel is NS, Sasuke is about to betrayal and the best part is the possibility of this happening right close to Sakura, she doesnt trust Sasuke he betraying again is more than overkill to a pratically dead pairing.

That's the definition of fanservice, put something that makes the fandom jumps.

Like by definition hinata saying "i'll be at his side forever". or Shows Neji training her and she says "thank you Naruto".

That's what I thought too. It reinforces that Hinata's only purpose there is for her byakugan to keep Sakura informed of the progress of the battle and the status of Naruto and Sasuke.

 

Kishi wants Sakura to keep herself updated to all that's going on without having her be involved for now, so he slightly retcons the byakugan in order to serve as a telescope for Sakura. Hinata is only there to serve as Sakura's status updater, it's a simple matter of convenience.

I don't think it meant anything for Hinata. Funny because Sakura is the one who's ordering to give her more insight info. If anything, it's all on Sakura that will make a move, not Hinata. As many have brought up, what can she do? Sure, the chapter covered that everyone has a shot, but for this case, fighting won't do. She may sideline and use her defense and/or eyes to support. Sakura can do both.

Hinata is only info giver in here as Sakura is the one to receive info. When something big happens, she will step in. Remember the last time, Kyuubi happened so she reacted without going there since that would be dumb. Then when Kyuubi left, medic on the way. Put it this way, Hinata is now doing the Hyuuga fodder role.

When I said tasteful fanservice, I meant how Kishi will sometimes cater to a portion of the fanbase to make them happy, but in a way in which the fanservice is executed smoothly or works well in the context of the scene. For example, I consider Hinata thinking about how Naruto's big, warm hand makes her feel safe fanservice for the NaruHina fans. Why is it fanservice? Because it was unnecessary and provides nothing to the plot. Regardless, fanservice is certainly not a bad thing and every show/manga/anime/whatever has some.

Yeah, something like that, especially this is kept in her mind, which no one will comment back at it. The hug, the village knows, so you can move forward with that. Exactly! The hug and Minato's comment actually help move the romantic sub-plot along whereas Hinata's thought does not.
