Imagine if Hinata had died to save Neji, instead of the other way around. That would have been the biggest plot twist ever. No one would ever be expecting that. Hinata dying to save someone who isn't Naruto? Everyone would be talking about it for like the next 10 years.

I'd welcome that twist and that gives neji the chance to fix the hyuga clan. And good point is she can't come back this unlike with pain.

Hinata would become the Aerith of ff7 that way. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing (until you have a run in with some crazy fan who thinks Aerith is living inside Cloud's head forever.) The core aspect of Aerith's character was the tragedy of her life being cut short, and all the "could-have-beens" ending there and then. Although I would argue that what I hate most about Hinata is her constant willingness to freaking die. Its like every-time she gets the opportunity she actively TRIES to get herself killed. It bothers me.
Pls shame me for procrastinating.

Unfortunately, she just wasn't very good at it.

If that ever happens the entire NH fandom would riot. They will go to Japan and hunt down Kishimoto with Pierot and his editors helping them in the hunt. They will have pitch forks, torches, guns. Kishi will have to bury himself in the deepest parts of the Earth to hide from them.

And we would be out here sipping tea and say, "It's a good day." Please, majority of those fans aren't leaving their spots. Pointless threats. They would've cry and vent.

I'd be sipping their salty tears of defeat rather than tea.

Neji is a slave , he is from branch family and as we know branch family is a slave and their sole purpose is to served and protect the head family to their death. Naruto promise Neji to free him and change the Hyuga once he become hokage but sadly Neji had to died protecting Hinata just as a slave branch family do. I already said this many times and i'm gladly said it again , Neji should had died at least after Naruto fulfill his promise to change the hyuga clan slavery and free the branch family ... but he had to die like as a slave not as free man .... sad.

But still I doubt Naruto has change the Hyuuga clan for the better whether Neji died or not.

The only answer was to kill off Hiashi. That way the slave thing with Neji would've been obsolete.

That's why i'm upset and mad at the ending of Naruto , it's not just bad ... in my opinion is dark. Orochimaru free and not only free Naruto as hokage KNOWS what kind of experiment hes doing , Sasuke free with his golden passport (it's like he killed thousand of people and when police is about to arrest him he just simply show that golden passport and the police leave) , Naruto and Sakura lived in misery ... they even killed Naruto at the beginning of Boruto and destroy Konoha so that his son could take the spotlight ....
This ending is madness and it's dark if you look at it there's a lot of dark moral message hidden in the ending:
Naruto and Sakura lived in misery : Don't be a hero because hero never got a happy ending despite all the heroic things they done.
Orochimaru and Sasuke free : Evil always prevail and win.
Neji died : The moment you were born your fate is sealed , you born as slave and died as slave there's no such a thing as freedom.
I could go on with it but i think you guys already know.

It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees. Neji died on his knees. Sad.

Neiji ended up doing the exact thing he didn't want to have to do back when he was a child. I don't see how anyone can sit there and be like "his death was so heroic and noble tho. He gave his life for Hinata-himeee!" and so did his father. And so will and have 100's of Hyuuga branch members because their lives are apparently worthless unless its for dying for someone else like fodder. Its not even fair that in death he gets no resolution of the Branch issue. Hinata does ZIP to solve it. He gave his life for nothing but their opportunity to spawn to god-awful children.
Pls shame me for procrastinating.

And it'd allow Hiashi to be able to make up to Hinata for his terrible parenting with her, and Neji and Hizashi because of his failures with them.

When you really think about it, that's the worst part. He died for a kittening horrible cause. He died for something that ruined the entire damn story and universe. Really, it makes the honor and conviction that defined his character into a joke. It's the same thing with Itachi. Itachi is so much less cool when you think about how Sasuke ruined his best friend's life, and utterly ruined the life of a promising young medical ninja, just because he felt like it, even though he really didn't give a kitten about her. He was only able to do this because of Itachi. Therefore, Itachi was ruined. As Neji was.
The principal characters being ruined ruins so many other secondary and tertiary characters because they were defined by their care or conviction for people or concepts that got kittening trashed in the end.

The best justification I've seen about this was "Neiji willingly gave his life to protect Hinata rather than being forced to do so He chose to die for her. He chose his fate, that's how he didn't give in to destiny." But at this point the series began going on about continuing the traditions of the past, which combined with the Hyuuga clan (which gets swept under the rug so Hinata doesn't look like an uncaring dumbass for not trying to fix it) (good smegging luck) leads to a pretty bad taste in the mouth.

How is that even a good justification at all? In the Chunin Exams arc where Neji is introduced, there is backstory. In this backstory, the role of the branch family is explained. It states: The role of the branch family is to protect the main family. How did Neji die? Protecting the main family. Which is exactly how his father died, and the thing you said is exactly the excuse his father used. If you do the exact same damn thing your father did, you couldn't be following your destiny more if you were kittening tied to it with a rope!
That. Is. Not. Even. A. Defense. At. All.
I don't care how many people say it.

Neji: I FINALLY UNDERSTAND!! My destiny was never to free other human beings from servitude, but to die like a dog, as my father before me, dutifully serving my masters who painfully brand children into compliance simply because of WHEN and to who gave birth to them. -throws himself infront of Hinata and dies.-
ITS SO HEROIC.
Pls shame me for procrastinating.

Knowing SP, if Hinata did die to save Neji in the manga, they'd completely change it in the anime to where she's only unconscious or in a coma or something and have Naruto magically revive her with his hax god powers cause "TRUR LURV!!!!!!"

Ya that sounds right they'd use any kitten to keep her alive even if she has a 10 ft wood rod going through her. I mean kitten is what kept sasuke alive through impossible odds that should have killed him.
