While Ashe is super prominent, you could also look at like Penelo is the heroine. 2 commoner best/childhood friends caught up in this Kingdom conspiracy.

 

That's actually a pretty good way of describing the relationship between the characters in Final Fantasy XII, I think for some including myself is how they saw Penelo and her relationship with Vaan within the story itself. Not gonna lie, I love Ashe as a character I mean things she went through is kinda tragic like you just wanna give her a hug.  

 

Even beyond the pairing itself the ending itself for Final Fantasy XII actually feels finale in alot of ways:

So both Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot both deny that they wrote the final ending to Naruto...well, who did? Kishimoto said he had no interest in writing a romance story between Naruto and Hinata and if this is the SPs version of "We didn't do it." Then who did?

Actually, that's not so uncommon nowadays within the Gundam community. Wing is generally held up as an example of a show aging badly while G Gundam is held up as an example of a show knowing what it is and making the best out of it.

Yeah, and even if G Gundam doesn't "feel" like a "traditional" Gundam series, it still is a good example of what Gundam can do with the other universes potentially, and be able to tell a good story that isn't just about how war and its consequences are.

G Gundam is the only Gundam that I ever watched more than once. Every episode is just so endearingly ridiculous. Also, it has a romance that pays off, which is something that Naruto didn't kittening do at all!

Every time I think back to the ending, I cant help but wonder just how Kishimoto screwed this up. As James mentioned a page or two ago, he didn't do it for the money; he has plenty of it. It's not like he's a completely incompetent writer, because although it has it's bad moments, he still gave us Naruto, a great series. But yet he still- and I'll never get over this- compares Sakuras importance to Kiba (I believe Kiba was somewhat important to the plot because of his battle with Sakon and Ukon and during the war, but he's still far from major character status), compares Sakuras love to Sasuke to an addiction/poison (though I maybe wrong), claims NaruHina was planned from the beginning (Kishi no), and dismisses the feelings of Naruto (probably the most honest, empathic person of the series) towards Sakura as a mere "crush because of rivalry"? Whaaat?

And it's so strange how some people treat Kishimoto's every word as if it were a verse from the Bible, even though numerous times he contradicts himself multiple times. Let's say Akira Toriyama contradicted himself. It would be excusable because he was known to have forgotten things as he got older (he's 62). Kishimoto is 43. His memory doesn't seem to have deteriorated. What excuse does he have? Did he hit his head? Did he just wake up one day and have amnesia? Is he doing it to appease the fans? But did the fans want this? What's the deal?

I think saying he didn't do it for the money isn't something I can totally agree with. Because I think what happened is he was pressured by other people, who were absolutely doing it for the money, as well as their own terrible tastes vis a vis a blue haired girl. The fact that he himself, would also, potentially, though he didn't actually, get more money, is just a side benefit.

 

It's really hard to keep doing something that everyone else keeps telling you is bad and that something else would be better. I know this from experience. You need serious conviction to continue, which is something he absolutely, 100%, lost.

 

About his explanations, it's just weak attempts to justify BS that ended up making him look worse. He didn't actually believe that stuff. At least, I hope not.

The story, though it would be probably much more tragic, would actually not suck if Sakura did love Naruto but it was the case that Naruto simply didn't understand it, legitimately. Like if he was like Goku. And Sakura doesn't want to take advantage of his naivete just because that is what she thinks would make her happy. Because he's like Goku and doesn't really get romance. Goku married Chi Chi to make her happy. But Sakura would be like "I can't do that to him." It would be in character for her.

 

The manga makes it extremely apparent that this was not the case, though.

One can consider the exchange if the blush wasn't present. Why did she feel the need to blush? Yamanaka Ino stated factual information that every member of the K11 would have known. Even Sasuke would have known. It's not embarrassing. Why would that knowledge affect her?

 

Now let's say we go back in time to when Sasuke is still in the village and they just graduated the academy.

 

Ino: Naruto is crazy about you, you know.

Sakura: *blushes* He's just an idiot.

 

What would that have meant? Would the Sakura of that time who really didn't like him have blushed? I doubt it!
